Phantom held her hand against her face, covering the lower half of her jaw. She was trying not to let anyone see her grin.

It was impossible not to smile at such exquisite bondage. Safely held behind glass was Patient Zero. She resisted the urge to knock at it. After all, it was thick - several centimeters - and she probably wouldn’t hear it - if she was even awake.

The creature was described as extradimensional threat, but she was far more comely than any other eldritch horror. Mustelid, feminine, and well-endowed, Patient Zero sported a thoroughly attractive figure. Generous bust and long legs made her quite the specimen. Other features, like her tail and arms, were hidden behind the many layers of incredible restraints that kept her bound, gagged, and ensconced.

Behind the glass was a thick layer of water, and within that was a massive metal frame. The frame itself was a second layer of plastic - and within that was a layer of viscous gel. The substance was designed to keep subjects alive, healthy, and reasonably comfortable. Phantom wondered if the designers that made it ever imagined that it would be used on such a dangerous creature.

Still, she didn’t look very dangerous. The restraints had something to do with it. She simply wasn’t very intimidating when she was so tightly restrained that she could barely move. The gel slowed her movements to a crawl - she could move, but had a slow undulation motion rather than any sort of rapid motion. It meant that she couldn’t - that she wouldn’t - ever be able to smash her way out of the plastic shatterproof box.

Even if she wasn’t slowed down, her lovely, luscious restraints were so fabulously tight. She looked like a mummy in a tomb; Phantom’s love of splendidly over-the-top bonds conflated Patient Zero’s asylum garb with the exquisite entombment of a god-king. Sure, it was all straps rather than bandages, but it got the same effect across. Custom-made gear kept her legs restrained, and a single massive cable kept her feet tethered to the bottom of her gel-cage. It left her unable to kick, and forced her thighs and knees together. The result left her slowly floating like a buoy or naval mine - just as prickly and dangerous as the latter.

The straitjacket was tight - obviously. Loose canvas might work well, but this asylum’s uniforms seemed to trend snug. Her entire suit was a single tight canvas garment. The straitjacket was integrated - such was the fate of this patient. It said quite a bit to Phantom that her uniform was simply not designed for freedom - only imprisonment. She was theoretically to be a prisoner forever - entrapped and entombed as a topic for research. She was simply too dangerous to let free - cruel, capricious, and capable of mind control on an epic scale.

Phantom silently mused what she would do with Patient Zero. Maybe having her mummified and ensconced inside a wall, or trapped in her lobby as a trophy. Maybe she would go all out - entombing her like a mummy and sealing her up with resin and amber. Then again, that would also mean that she wouldn’t be able to study Zero’s fascinating mind control abilities.

She blinked. Was Patient Zero awake? Phantom tilted her head. Zero seemed to respond in kind. She was awake, and she was grinning.

Phantom was falling. She felt her arms flailing and body tensing up. She shut her eyes, then opened, and it seemed to make no difference. Pressure was increasing all around her body and it was changing at an alarming rate. It felt like she was being dragged down into a deep latex pit, one with no bottom - only increasing pressure and a growing sense of dread. She struggled to breathe. Opening her mouth only led to the sudden rush of rubber between her lips, coating her gums and throat, solidifying and….

And then she was awake. She was wearing a heavy canvas uniform and a straitjacket over that. She sat up, unable to use her arms save to struggle in a useless, circular gyration. Something filled her mouth. Something else covered her lips.

A crackly voice began to fill the room. Phantom opened her eyes and saw a white padded room.

“I’m sorry Phantom, but after your recent episode I’m not sure if you can be trusted. You definitely can’t be released. I shouldn’t have let you come here - not while Patient Zero was awake…”

Phantom began to struggle. The voice cut out, and was soon followed by a heavy deadbolt locking.
