When I was 13, I discovered tg. The material in question was a comic, based on a quiz on a now defunct quiz website, about what one would be like as a girl. In the quiz, you put it in your guy name and a few details, and the quiz spat out responses about what becoming/being a girl would be like. The tg sequence, based on the author’s own results of the quiz, depicted a fairly average looking guy slowly feminizing, against his will, and at the same time bimbofying, losing intelligence and gaining curves in return. By the end of the brief, one-panel sequence, she was a horny, drooling, big-breasted slut. And it was so, soooooo hot. So hot that I masturbated to it by accident! Yes, you heard that right - I masturbated, for the very first time in my life, and it was by accident. I didn’t realize I was masturbating until I had already came, at which point, I looked up “Masturbation” on Wikipedia and confirmed that, yes, I had in fact just masturbated. This beautiful comic, sadly belonging to a now deleted account and lost to the ages, was my first encounter with porn - as well as my first encounter with tg sequences, bimbofication, and forced feminization.

When I first gazed upon that comic, I was a 13 old straight cis boy. Today, I am a 28 year old lesbian transgender woman. A lot has changed, but my love for this particular genre of porn hasn’t. What can I say? We don’t have much control, ultimately, over what we find hot, and well, that was, and is, what I find hot. But what has changed quite a bit is my thoughts and feelings on this genre of porn, how I look at it, and how it fits into my own sense of myself. Looking back, it is glaringly obvious to me that my obsession with tg and forced feminization was a sign. My first encounter with my own sexuality wasn’t a mewling crush on a member of the “opposite” sex, but rather, an internal excitement over the idea of becoming a woman. With the benefit of hindsight, it is obvious why - because I am a woman. But had you told such a conclusion to my young self, the layers and layers of denial and shame she felt would have produced so very many excuses.

And yet, even though I understand myself better now, I always return to a small set of important and unresolved questions about this kind of porn - yes, I wanted so badly, deep down, to be feminine, but why did I want it to be forced upon me? What it is about bimbofication that is so appealing? And does such a thing exist in the opposite direction - is there such a thing as forced masculinization porn and himbofication porn? If there is, is there as much of it as forced feminization and bimbofication? If there isn’t as much, why not? What it is about masculinity and femininity that has produced such strange genres and distinctions?

It should be obvious by now that this isn’t a normal post. If you’re reading this, you almost certainly came to this porn website to find porn by a porn account, and well, this is an essay. So good job, you’re doing great. That said, I hope that if you find these questions interesting as well, you might take a brief break from fapping (or return once you’re done) and come on a journey with me. I promise there will be links, examples, and recommendations (analysis, even) of some excellent pieces of tg, forced fem, and bimbofication porn that you might enjoy down the line. And hey, if critical theory helps you get your rocks off, then congrats - you’ve hit the goldmine. Yes, that’s right, I encourage you to masturbate to my essay. What can I say? It’s avant-garde.

Forced Feminization

My teenage self was utterly ashamed and humiliated by her desire to be feminine. So ashamed, in fact, that I kept it a secret not only from everyone I knew, but also from myself. I had to somehow rationalize why I liked tg so much. This was a crisis that I constantly returned to for many, many years.

See, most teen boys don’t need a reason why they enjoy porn. Being straight and cisgender (re: not transgender) is seen as so normal and natural that asking why a straight, cis teen boy would jack off to the image of an even mildy woman-shaped object is absurd. Set against this backdrop, wanting to be forcefully feminized sounds strange, to say the least. As a teen who was (1) hopelessly self-defeating and (2) living inside my head at all times, I spent countless hours fretting over my desires and praying to God for forgiveness for my tastes.

The most consistent defense I returned to was simple: I liked forced fem and tg, I reasoned, because women are hot, and these comics and stories are about hot women being hot, performing degrading sexual acts, and so on. Of course, that didn’t account for, y’know, the transformation, but I was desperately huffing copium and trying to find any reason beyond the obvious. I lived with a sort of strange double consciousness for a long time, on one hand reveling in the power of these feminine fantasies and on the other hand denying I at all had any desire to actually become feminine myself. It was just a silly fantasy, I reasoned. Everyone has them.

But as time went on, and I finished high school and went to college, I was less and less able to deny the obvious: I enjoyed feminization fantasies because, yes, I wanted to be feminine. In fact, I didn’t want to be merely womanly. I wanted to be a woman. Fortunately, I got my wish, and before finishing college, I came out, began hormones, and changed my name.

But something is strange here: what is it about wanting to be a woman that required me to deny myself for so long? Why did I like my feminization forced rather than, say, voluntary? Why did I find stories about ignorant men punished with crossdressing so much more appealing that those who voluntarily crossdressed themselves? Why did I fetishize someone having their gender forcefully changed, when I didn’t fetishize those who willingly changed their gender?

I believe that the core reason here is because the forced aspect of forced fem helps the psyche maintain a convenient layer of denial. No, I don’t actually want to be feminine - that would be ridiculous! But, y’know, if somebody, say, forcefully turned me into a woman against my will using magic then I would have no choice but to enjoy it by wearing frilly dresses and sucking off every one of my guy friends, right?

Now, before you jump down my throat, I know that not everybody who likes forced feminization is trans. Yes, cis people can and do enjoy this genre - that’s perfectly fine. But I believe that there are many, many trans women who have unwittingly stumbled into loving this genre of porn precisely because it lets them simultaneously embrace and deny their deepest fantasies. If you are a trans woman, and you are a bottom, a submissive, or desire to be degraded, then forced fem is in some ways the creme de la creme.

What precisely, though, about being feminine, or being a woman, is so degrading, so humiliating? Many of us like to believe that, thanks to the tireless work of feminists, we now live in a society where men and women are viewed as equals. And yet, despite that belief, many of us deep down still know that our society broadly considers men superior to women. The vast majority of leaders are still men, the wants, needs and bodily autonomy of women is still ignored at best and attacked at worst (see: Texas effectively banning abortion) and when women talk about sexual assault, they are demeaned, humiliated, blamed, and silenced (see: Christine Blasey Ford and Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, among many, many, many, MANY others).

And so, in living in such a society, trans women find themselves in a strange position. We have been given, almost like a gift, the opportunity of masculinity - the chance to be strong, virile, respected and privileged. And yet, we shun such a “gift” in favor of the supposedly far inferior pursuit of femininity. From the point of view of patriarchy, this is much like a smart person choosing to be dumb, or a free person choosing to be a slave. It is a strict downgrade.

If I were to choose to be feminine, that would be to admit that I want to be inferior, that I want to be looked down upon, that I want to be demeaned and infantilized, as women so often are. But, if I entertain the fantasy of being forced to be feminine, then I can erase some of that guilt, sublimate some of that desire, assure myself that what I am pursuing is merely a fun fantasy and not a desperate need to be myself.

Forced feminization further removes the responsibility for wanting to be feminine. If I am forcefully feminized, then I am not responsible for my gender, I don’t have control over it, and I can’t be blamed or attacked by others (but especially by my own self) for being the gender that I am. In this sense, it is a defense mechanism.

It is exactly this internal struggle that makes some forced feminization pieces so hot. Take, for example, the brilliant series Sissy Shorts (https://www.deviantart.com/izhane/art/Sissy-Shorts-1-398566243) by Izahane (https://www.deviantart.com/izhane). In the first entry in this series, a bossy misogynist named Adrian who works at a pharmaceutical company is forcefully feminized by a serum he arrogantly tests too early. A coworker, Kori, content to use the opportunity to get back at him, expediates the sissifcation, slipping panties on him, and then tights:

"As the thin but opaque pale pink thigh high tight wrapped around his foot it felt incredible against his delicate new skin.  So much so he didn't notice the gentle warmth in his pelvis, even as it kept him at bay for Kori to pull the stocking up his leg. He wanted to fight back, but it was hard as the silky fiber graced his skin and came to rest very high on his thigh.  He was getting really hot, yet his body responding only barely, as he could not help but relax back into Koryanna's embrace. "There's a good sissy, relax and enjoy it."  Immediately he remembered himself, and as he did he remembered he needed to focus to regain his control.  As soon as he started to try, the panty seemed more snug on his fuller hips, and his feet and legs felt daintier in the warm tightness of the stocking, and it was indeed mildly warm, but he was too distracted to notice.  His other foot was graced by the same pleasure, and he had to focus all his energy on resisting or else he'd get stuck in this sissified body!"

Adrian’s desires clash in this paragraph, as they do in nearly ever paragraph of the story, with the feminine ultimately obliterating and replacing the masculine by the end. At this point, though, the two tussle for control. Adrian feels the “gentle warmth” and comfort of femininity, “relaxing” into his coworker’s embrace, and at the same time, reminds himself that he must focus and fight back - or else he will get “stuck in a sissified body!” He wants to believe and follow Kori’s command - “There’s a good sissy, relax and enjoy it” - but cannot bring himself to enjoy being feminized because his own masculine hubris is ashamed and humiliated at the impulse to the feminine. This conflict is precisely the inner mental conflict that many trans women feel, albeit highly eroticized. It is porn, after all. Still, the way Sissy Shorts dramatizes the internal struggle between masculinity and femininity is both insightful and so, so very hot. Like, so hot.

Now, at this point, I have to make several caveats. First, I don’t at all mean to say that this struggle is true for all trans women, and further, I don’t want to imply that I think there is something inherently sexual about transness. Trans people are trans not because of what we find hot, but because of who we are. Furthermore, I don’t mean to imply that all pieces of forced fem and tg fiction/art are by, for, and represent the feelings of trans women - this is a genre that people of all genders and experiences can enjoy, and that’s a good thing. What I am trying to say is that many (not all, but many) trans women find, like a funhouse mirror, their own inner struggles and desires reflected back, albeit in a perverse way, by this kind of porn. And in a culture which relentlessly objectifies and eroticizes women, it should be no surprise that we find our own “shameful” desires turned inward, eroticized, and pornified.

To be clear, there is nothing inherently wrong with porn - porn is good, in fact! I love porn! (I hope you are relieved to hear that, reading a porn essay by a porn writer on a porn website). However, the erroneous way that being a woman is viewed as inherently sexual is what often leads to the accusation that trans women are just fetishists. We are not fetishists, we are women. And yet, the fact that we merely dare to have a sexuality at all gets us labelled deviants, perverts, and the like. This is what transgender writer and feminist theorist Julia Serrano calls “effemimania” - a cultural obsession (re: disgust) with male femininity. Well, “male” femininity. You know what I mean. Trans women are women.

I think the best proof I could provide for my claims in this section is a look at the “opposite” (allegedly) genre - “forced masculinization.” Seeing this rarer genre of tg art/writing and the way that it works should throw my arguments here into sharp contrast.

“Why is There No Forced Masculinization?”

I’d like to first say that there is in fact forced masculinization porn. It isn’t that this genre doesn’t exist, but that it is drastically less prevalent and popular (on DeviantArt, at least) than mtf tg and forced feminization. It is so much less popular, in fact, that searching “ftm tg” or even simply “ftm” is far more likely to return mtf tg art (I know everyone’s algorithm is somewhat personalized, but still). Regardless, ftm tg does exist, and there’s a lot of good stuff out there. If you’re interested, JJav4 (https://www.deviantart.com/jjav4/favourites/82215257/males-and-ftm) and DimensionalDrifter21 (https://www.deviantart.com/dimensionaldrifter21/favourites/78981607/ftm-tfs) both have really robust collections, both of which I only found out because they added my own mtf and ftm tg (https://www.deviantart.com/personman123/art/Roommates-to-Lovers-TG-Gamer-Girl-MtF-FtM-888587167) to their collections, which is an honor.

Still, the question “Why is there no forced masculinization?” is asked on twitter and elsewhere on the internet from time to time, and it is certainly a curious question. But, in analyzing forced fem and mtf tg porn, some potential reasons pop up. It should already be clear where I am going with this.

Let’s look at “Cum-Unity College: Couple’s Calling Part 7,” (https://www.deviantart.com/laxex/art/Cum-Unity-College-Couple-s-Calling-Part-7-581691409) by none other than the great Laxex (https://www.deviantart.com/laxex) as an example. This comic is the ending of a mtf x ftm tg, a popular subgenre where two people, often but not always boyfriend and girlfriend, are tg’d so that their genders and gender roles are reversed. The ways in which the newly minted boys and girls experience their new genders, however, is revealing. Erica, having been tg’d and bimbofied, is submissive, dumb, slutty, and eager to please. On the other hand, Alex, the hypermasculine newly tg’d man, revels in his strength, authority, and power over Erica:

“Erica: Oh my gosh, you have, like, the biggest dick ever! It's so huge! I can't wait to suck on it allll night!

Alex: Th-That feels so good...no-o, something isn't right.

Lucas: Of course something's not right: you aren't enjoying her boobilicious body yet. Come on Alex, aren't you a real man?

Alex: I...I...

Lucas: Aren't I right?

Alex: You...you're...

Alex: ...absolutely right!

Erica: Ahhhh! Your hands are so big!

Alex: And your boobs are fucking huge! I'm going to love playing with these!

Erica: Yayy! I'm so happy to hear that!”

Aww, good for them. As a “real man,” Alex is entitled to Erica’s body as well as the privileges and powers of manhood. Meanwhile, Erica has been reduced to a sex object. Again, not a criticism (I love the comic, can’t tell you how many times I’ve fapped to it), just a fact of the story. This parallels the wider ways in which men and women are seen in society: men are not fetishized the way women are simply because, in a patriarchal society, men are seen as a stable and enduring default, which is to be admired. Since being a man is desirable, ftm tg’s do not often have to engage with the question of shame, because being a man is not shameful in the same way being a woman is.

That isn’t to say that transmasculine people don’t feel shame. On the contrary, societal transphobia makes all trans people feel a certain measure of shame about transgressing gender boundaries. Yes, society does police the femininity of women in a way that be a tomboy or a masculine women can be seen as shameful. However, it is not shameful because masculinity itself is seen as shameful, but rather, because of the transmasculine’s person perceived failure at adhering to the confines of femininity. Inversely, femininity itself is seen as weak and shameful.

And so, while ftm tg can be powerful, hot, and even revelatory for transmasculine people, I suspect (suspect, but do not know for sure) that it does not serve as the kind of convenient mix of porn and psychological defense mechanism that forced feminization does for transfeminine people. Put in other terms, since masculinization does not need to be forced upon one, given that it is something to be admired and desired, forced masculinization is less popular than forced feminization. However, I am not 100% sure about this, and as I am not transmasculine myself, I’d love to hear ftm and transmasc readers respond or contest this point.

In my mind, however, this just drives home the fact that femininity is seen, especially in comparison to masculinity, as inferior, and that therefore the desire to be feminine is shameful and degrading. But does it have to be disempowering? Isn’t there a way in which femininity is in fact incredible empowering?

Bimbofication and Femininity as Power

For me, femininity is far from shameful. Femininity is revelatory. It is powerful. When I wear a colorful red sundress, have my hair done, wear makeup and have strangers walk up to me and say they love my dress, my hair, and so on, I feel powerful in a way I never did as a man.

I suspect that at least some trans women find this same sort of this feminine power in the bimbo trope. From one lens, of course, the bimbo is a hyper-objectified, one-dimensional sexual stereotype where an entire woman’s agency and purpose is reduced to sex, sex, sex. Yes, for a certain category of viewers, the way that bimbos are always ready to consent, lack critical thinking and will never reject a potential sexual partner is part of the fantasy.

But what if your fantasy is to *be* the bimbo? What’s the appeal? At least part of it is the submissiveness of it all - the bimbo’s willpower is so degraded that she will say yes to anything, and that’s thrilling. But to imagine oneself as the bimbo is also to imagine oneself inhabiting an incredible feminine power - a sexual power that is irresistible to all, free of consequences, inhibitions, self-doubt, or self-reflection.

If you are a trans woman who has had femininity systematically denied to you, the idea of becoming hyperfeminine feels like a long overdue corrective. But what makes it so appealing in the bimbo’s case is that the bimbo’s diminished intelligence frees her from worries about her own state. Bimbos do not worry about presentation, about how they are treated, about their rights or their freedoms, about their dreams or aspirations, about their pasts or their futures. They only care about the here and now, about immediate hedonistic pleasure, about sex and satisfaction. Of course it isn’t possible to be like this (nor is it desirable) in reality. But as a fantasy? Hell yeah, that sounds fantastic! The bimbo is femininity without consequences.

There are many examples of this, but just to pick out one from my favorites folder, let’s briefly consider “TG Labs: Bimbo: Hypnosis End” (https://www.deviantart.com/ericheitman/art/TG-Labs-Bimbo-Hypnosis-End-479768009) by

Ericheitman (https://www.deviantart.com/ericheitman). The context of this story is barely relevant; all you need to know is that this is one of the ending scenarios of a choose-your-own-adventure TG story. In this ending, the main character, the second-person “you,” is hypnotized and turned in a bimbo. The text near the end of the story is pretty representative:

"As you sit in the chair, barely awake, bathing in the afterglow of orgasm, the voice whispers to you, "would you like to feel even more pleasure?" "More than anything in the world!" You say in your new sexy, sensual voice. *The voice switches over to one still sensual, but now also ditzy*, "Alrighty then! *giggle*" the voice says. After it says this you feel what seems to be your intelligence start to kind of pour out of your head, but it feels so damn good! After a little while your sitting there smiling, with no memories other than those of orgasm and pleasure, and no thoughts other than those about how to get pleasure and how great pleasure is. "Hey you! *giggle* I bet your feeling a lot better, and a lot sexier now too!" You nod your head, smiling. "You wanna know what THE MOST pleasurable thing is? It's bringing others pleasure, silly! Nothing feels better than sucking a nice cock, or taking one, or more, in your holes, and bringing a guy to cum! Or eating a girl out, or making out with her, or sucking her tits until she cums again and again! Isn't it just like the greatest feeling! *giggle*" The voices ideas lock  into your new pleasure based brain, it is so great to bring others pleasure, because then everyone gets pleasure (me especially (: ). "That's like, so true!" you say to the voice, "Can I like get some pleasure now please, lady?", "Sure!" the voice says, "just go into the elevator! Me and my nice man friends here could use another sexy pal!" You run into the elevator, completely forgetting the underwear, with the body of a goddess, and the mind of a bimbo. You feel nothing by pleasure now, which is pretty fucking great. The elevator doors close as you begin your new life of fucking and sucking all day long. THE END."

With the main character’s intelligence drained, all that remains in pleasure. Swimming in pleasure, the narrative establishes three things for the main character: first, that it feels good to let go of one’s intelligence - and in doing so, one’s inhibitions. Second, providing others with pleasure is good, especially in so far that it pleasures oneself. Last, feeling only pleasure is good - “You feel nothing but pleasure now, which is pretty fucking great. The elevator doors close as you begin your new life of fucking and sucking all day long.” While a brainwashing like this would be alarming in a non-erotic context (subtract the horniness and you get something like A Clockwork Orange), in a pornographic context it is welcome as it signals the arrival of pleasure. In this story, the ultrafeminine bimbo, fucking and sucking all day long, feeling her own body, is celebrated and beautiful.

My femininity is much more mundane, more everyday, more - well, real, as it has to be. I want rights, I want a future, I want equality. I have flaws, I’m pursuing education, and so on. And yet, the fantasy of the bimbo is alluring to me because it offers an alternative to the ambitious life while at the same time validating my deepest inner femininity.

Put another way, to live as a trans woman is to have your validity as a woman constantly questioned and attacked. But nobody - and I mean nobody - ever questions if the bimbo counts as a woman.

Conclusion

Returning to the questions from my intro, I see four distinct threads that I’ve pursued here: (1) Why forced feminization? (2) Why bimbofication? (3) Is there such a thing as himbofication/forced masculinization? (4) Most importantly, what it is about masculinity and femininity that has produced such strange genres and distinctions?

I hope I’ve answered these questions adequately. The forced nature of forced feminization lets trans women displace the guilt of wanting to be feminine onto another source, and in doing so lets us explore our feminine desires without having to own up to them. For us, bimbos, as an archetype of ultra-femininity, can be a fantasy of acceptance, pleasure, attractiveness, and gender privilege (i.e., knowing all will treat your gender as natural, secure, and unquestionable). While forced masculinization porn exists and is valid and beautiful, it sees less traffic on this website and online because it is not shameful to desire masculinity in the same way it is to desire femininity. These bizarre distinctions and rules are products of a patriarchal society that devalues women and femininity, and in doing so, villainizes trans women.

I’d just like to reiterate one more time that none of this essay is meant to be critical of porn, makers of porn, or viewers of porn. I am both a maker and consumer of it myself. I haven’t set out to critique TG, forced fem, and bimbofication porn so much as I have to understand it - or at least, to understand why it is still so important to me, all these years later. If at any point I have sounded critical or suspicious towards creators and/or consumers of this kind of porn, rest assured that I have a great *ahem* fondness for these genres and creators.

If you are a trans person yourself, especially if you are a trans woman, I hope this essay at least could give you a small sense of companionship on these issues, and (if I’m really lucky) a way to explain or articulate your own experience. If your experience has been different, I’d love to hear how. And, in the more likely event that you are a cis person, I hope this essay has provided a window in the strange and fascinating cross-section of gender bender art and real-life gender benders.

If you’ve made it all the way through this essay, then congrats - you’re a big nerd. Now, I happen to have a bimbofication potion that can deal with big nerds like you pretty well . . .

Go ahead, you can go fap now. You’ve earned it.
