Danlielle was still in a funk and struggling with her new life even though her sex life was the best it’s ever been in her life. But then she stopped to think… of course it was. It was the only sex life she’s ever had. Her life began when her phone was first turned on. Her memories from before were from someone else. And did she even have a sex life at all? She was a phone that sat there and watched as her husband made love to a headless woman. The Danielle AI had full control of said headless woman and felt everything she did, but was it really her? Dani started getting jealous of her own body.

One night, Dani confronted Sam. It would have been tearful, but she could shed no tears. “Do you really love me Sam?” He was shocked and angry. “Damn it Dani, of course I love you! I wish you’d get it through you head! Er… I… I’m sorry. I forgot for a second…” “Yeah, I’m sure it’s easy for you to forget. Do you love me? Or do you just love my body?” Sam fell silent. He couldn’t answer. He loved being with her physically but their relationship was not the same after Danielle’s decapitation and subsequent resurrection in digital form. They both enjoyed having sex but the rest of the time they just fought. Maybe that little cellphone wasn’t the same woman he fell in love with. Maybe he really was just in love with her body.

“Sam… I think we need to separate.” The words stung hard. But he agreed. “Maybe you’re right. Maybe you’re not the Danielle I married.” “I don’t think I am. I’m not the same person. Hell, I’m not even a person. Don’t worry though; you can stay with… her. I’m not taking her with me.” And with that, Danielle’s body picked up the phone… and smashed it with a hammer. Sam was in shock. Dani was now an empty shell. Sam was in tears because he had lost the love of his life… again.

A week past and… Sam was enjoying it. Hell, he seemed happier. He and Danielle made passionate love with each other each night. The sex was even better. There was no more arguing. And with no mind, personality or will of her own, Danielle’s headless body blindly did anything Sam told her to do. Dani’s body cleaned the house and it was spotless. She cooked him dinner. She went places with him that she wouldn’t have wanted to. Hell, he even programmed her body to play video games with him. Things seemed great. He felt like she was better now than when she actually had a head.

But after about 3 months… loneness set in. He would try talking to her and she would just sit there and not reply. He reminisced with her about the good times they had or their favorite song and… nothing. His headless wife had no memory of such things. Finally, he asked her if she loved him… and she said nothing. She couldn’t say anything. She didn’t love him. She couldn’t. She had no mind or soul. No thoughts or feelings. She had no emotions, she just obeyed commands. And lastly… he wanted kids. Sure, Dani’s body would agree to have his children, but she wouldn’t be a mother.

Sam couldn’t stand it anymore. After 6 months, he had enough. He bought a new phone and downloaded Danielle’s personality again. “Why did you bring me back? Again?” Sam explained what he had been through. “Look… Dani… maybe you aren’t the same woman I fell in love with. But her personality, her mind… her soul… they’ve been lost. You have those things. My wife needs you to be those things and guide her. She needs you. I need you. Please come back. I need the two of you to become one.”
There was a long pause.

“Okay… let’s try and make this work. I know I’ve been difficult but… I still love you Sam.”
“I love you too.”
Sam kissed the phone.

And so, Danielle 3.0, the phone, acted as the mind and personality for Danielle 1.0, the body. Sam and Dani reconciled their relationship and Dani never tried another stunt like that again. She grew to accept her new life and what she was.
