A present-day damsel in distress and her rescuer have nothing in common, but discover they’re very compatible in the bondage dungeon and in life.
Part 7 concludes this story. It includes the following chapters:
Chapter 17 – Blowing it
Sean couldn’t wait to propose marriage to Alex. He’d considered very early on that she was quite promising as a prospective life partner, and the time they’d spent together since then only reinforced that assessment. Two years had passed since Alex had first moved into the guest room, and over a year since she’d moved into his bed.
This would be a reasonable time together for most couples considering engagement, but Sean couldn’t help wondering if he were rushing things. Not due to the time he’d been with Alex, but because of her age. She was still only 20 years old and in her second year of community college. But on the other hand, he was now 30 and more than ready to settle down.
Another dilemma was going to be how expensive and flashy of an engagement ring to get her. Should he get her a ring befitting the fiancée of a successful 30-year-old stockbroker, or a ring appropriate for a 20-year-old college student? He knew she would insist on the latter, because she’d be more comfortable wearing it among her peers. But he knew she’d fit in better wearing the former among his peers.
Once they were engaged, there’d be more of these kinds of questions, such as how to ask her to sign a prenup without offending her, and how fancy of a wedding to have. But they could worry about those later.
Sean decided to talk to his cousin Kate about this. They arranged to meet, and he filled her in on what was going through his mind.
Kate replied, “I remember on some legal drama I was watching a while back, an experienced lawyer was coaching a rookie lawyer about questioning witnesses during a trial. ‘Never ask a witness a question unless you already know the answer; the time for discovery is before the trial,’ was the advice. In other words, surprises are risky; they might not go how you’d hoped.
“I think that’s probably good advice for you as well, Sean. If you surprise her with a marriage proposal that she’s not prepared for, you might not like the answer. It’s far better to start talking hypothetically about engagement and marriage with her now and get her reactions to various possibilities when she’s not put on the spot.”
Sean realized Kate was right, and he thanked her for setting him straight. He also realized that in the two years he’d known Alex, they’d never once talked about their views on marriage and kids and the like, not even hypothetically. Those subjects had come up naturally at some point in all of Sean’s previous relationships, but with Alex, it was as if they were both deliberately avoiding the subject. As if they were both afraid to bring up the subject.
That Friday evening, Sean took Alex out to dinner at a small, intimate restaurant he knew. After they’d ordered their meals, he said to her, “You know, it occurred to me the other day that we’ve known each other for two years now, and we’ve never discussed our perspectives on topics like marriage and kids. I think we should probably do that, considering where we are in this relationship.”
Alex replied, “I don’t know about you, but I’ve deliberately avoided bringing up those subjects with you. We have such a good thing going, and I’ve been afraid if we didn’t see eye-to-eye on those kinds of things, we’d realize we had no future together and it would be over. That scares me to death.”
“So you do envision a future together, at least,” observed Sean. “I do too. That’s a good start, I’d say.”
“I’m doing a lot more than envisioning it,” said Alex in response. “I’m determined to make it happen, at least to the extent that I can control. Whether we ever get married or have kids isn’t nearly as important to me as the two of us staying together. Sean, you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me by far, and the best man I’ve ever known. I’ve known you were a ‘keeper’ for quite a long time.”
Sean was deeply touched by Alex’s sentiments. He had no idea she felt so strongly and positively about him. “I’ve known you were a ‘keeper’ for quite a long time, too, Alex. Since we both feel that way, perhaps we need to approach this conversation differently. Most couples talking about these things are trying to see if they’re compatible and have a potential future together. We already know we are and we do, so why don’t we approach it from the opposite direction? Let’s assume we do have a future together, and try to figure out together what that future might look like. Does that make sense?”
“Yeah, I like that idea,” Alex replied. “That doesn’t sound nearly as scary.”
The conversation paused as the server brought their meals to the table. “So, marriage,” Sean said, introducing the first topic. “Thumbs up or thumbs down?”
“Two thumbs up!” Alex replied enthusiastically while actually putting her thumbs up.
“In general, or specifically with me?” Sean asked.
“With you, of course!”
“What kind of timeframe are you thinking?” Sean asked. “Considering you’re only 20 years old, how soon do you think you might want to settle down?”
“My age is irrelevant. Since I already know I want to marry you, what would be the point of waiting? I’d probably want to finish school first, so that the wedding doesn’t become too much of a distraction. But that’ll happen soon enough, just a few more months now.”
“Fair enough. Being 30 myself, I’m thinking I wouldn’t want to wait too long, but I didn’t know if you’d feel the same way. What kind of wedding would you want?”
“We can get married at the courthouse as far as I’m concerned. The wedding is supposed to be paid for by the bride’s family, and you know neither my mother nor I have the money to do that. There’s no reason why you should pay for a big wedding, either, unless that’s what you really want. I have no need for a big wedding; that’s just not ‘me’. I don’t care how fancy the ceremony is; all I care about is you being the one I exchange vows with. I can only think of a couple of people I’d want to invite, and there’s nobody I want to impress besides you.”
“Oh, you never fail to impress me, Alex,” Sean said with a smile, and Alex returned the smile. “Kids, thumbs up or down?”
Alex put both of her thumbs up again without verbally responding. But then she said, “I know it’s a cliché line, but I want to have your babies, Sean.”
“How many, and when?”
“I don’t know… At least two; I always wished I had a brother or sister. As far as when, anytime you want within the next 20 years or so. That’s the advantage of marrying someone young,” Alex said with a smile. “Another advantage is that there’s plenty of time to have lots of kids if that’s what you want.”
“I definitely want kids, and I agree; at least two. But it shouldn’t be just up to me how soon and how many; you have a say in this, too, you know.”
“I know, and I appreciate that. Right now, I’d say I’d gladly give you 20 babies, one per year, if you wanted me to. I can’t think of anything more romantic than growing babies in my own body that are half you, half me. But I do realize I need to experience actually having one or two before I commit to anything like that.”
Sean’s dick was getting hard at the idea of turning Alex into a baby factory and keeping her pregnant most of the time, especially if she continued to wear shackles and chains at every opportunity. How incredibly hot would it be to have a young, petite, constantly knocked-up wife in shackles and chains who actually wanted to be that way?
“I think you and I are very much on the same page regarding everything we’ve talked about so far this evening,” Nick observed, “which makes me reluctant to bring up this next topic, but it needs to be discussed sooner or later. Please hear me out before you react, okay?” Alex looked concerned but nodded her head.
“With our huge differences in assets and income, I think we need a prenup. You know what that is, right?” Again, Alex nodded. “This is not because I don’t trust you or don’t think the marriage will last. It’s not to keep you trapped in a marriage if you want to continue to enjoy a comfortable lifestyle. Yes, it’s to protect me and my assets, but what I have in mind will also protect you from my debts, and it’ll reward you as well.
“I’m thinking along the lines of this: If the marriage didn’t last a year, you’d get nothing except what you already owned the day before the wedding. For each year we’re married, you’re entitled to 2.5 percent of our combined assets and combined income should the marriage end. After 10 years, you’d be entitled to 25% of everything. After 20 years, you’d be entitled to half of everything, which would be as high as it goes. I want you to know this is very generous. As far as prenups go, it’s extremely unusual to provide a way for the less wealthy partner to be able to ever get half.
“I’ll also give you the money to hire your own lawyer. He or she will work for you alone to make sure the agreement is fair to you and to help you completely understand it. By each of us having our own lawyer, you can be assured there’s no conflict of interest.”
Sean paused to give Alex the opportunity to respond, but she said nothing, so he asked her, “So what do you think?”
Alex said nothing for another 15 seconds or so, and then finally replied, “I think this is about the least sexy thing you’ve ever said to me, and that includes ‘Babe, would you bring another roll of toilet paper?’ You did a great job totally setting the mood and then stomping all over it, Sean. That’s all I’m going to say; we’re done talking about this.”
It wasn’t all Alex was done talking about; Sean could hardly get her to say more than two words at a time the rest of the evening. Her body language and facial expression made it clear he wasn’t going to get any that night. In fact, she imposed on her mother to share her bed with her that night.
The next morning, Sean and Tammy were both up before Alex. Alex had laid awake a good part of the night and so was sleeping in. “I guess I blew it with Alex last night,” Sean said to Tammy.
“I guess you did,” agreed Tammy. “What were you thinking, asking her all those mushy questions about getting married and having kids and then springing a prenup on her?”
Sean couldn’t think of anything to say in response.
Tammy continued, “Look, I totally get why you’d want a prenup, Sean. In your shoes, I’d insist on one. But your timing couldn’t’ve sucked any more if you tried. You had her eating out of your hand. You could’ve proposed to her last night and she would’ve said yes, even though it was the first time the subject of marriage had even come up. Instead, you had to get all business-like on her. The prenup discussion should’ve happened at a completely different time and place from the marriage and kids conversation.
“Lucky for you, she loves you as much as she does. She’ll come around, but you’ll need to do some major groveling, like a dozen red roses and down on both knees admitting what a pig you are level of groveling.”
Sean appreciated her candor and told her so. “So the prenup itself wasn’t the problem; it was when I brought it up that was the problem?” he asked.
“When you brought it up was absolutely the problem,” Tammy replied. “Are you really that clueless about women? You had her feeling all romantic and loved and full of love towards you and imagining a very happy future together. Bringing up the prenup at that point felt to her like you’d just slapped her in the face and laughed as you said, ‘Well, you’re not getting any of that, bitch, unless you sign these papers.’”
It was only upon hearing that that Sean truly began to understand the enormity of his gaffe.
Tammy continued. “I’m sure you didn’t mean for it to seem that way, but that’s how any woman would’ve perceived it, not just Alexa. So when you’re figuring out what to say in your apology and how much to grovel, imagine that you actually did slap her and say that to her.
“Whether the prenup itself is also a problem for her, I can’t say. We really didn’t get into that. But as I said, I understand why you would think it necessary, and under the circumstances it’s not unreasonable. You’re just going to have to tread very lightly and realize that it’s a sore subject, especially now that you’ve made such a mess of things.”
“I had no idea I screwed up so badly. How can I possibly make it up to her?” Sean asked. “I can’t imagine that flowers and an apology are going to be anywhere near enough.”
“You’re right; they’re not, but it’ll be a good start,” Tammy replied. “You probably can’t fix this quickly. Showering her with expensive gifts isn’t going to help and might make things worse, so don’t go there. Trust and respect must be earned slowly, but you’ve now seen they can be lost very quickly. I probably know that better than anyone. You’ve just lost both, and you’re starting from scratch to earn them back. You’re going to have to convince her, over time, that you’re worthy of both again. I can’t tell you how to do that; you’re going to have to figure it out.”
Sean finished his cup of coffee and stood. “If Alex gets up before I’m back, tell her you got me to see what a complete ass I was, and still am, and that I’m very, very sorry. I love her more than she’ll ever know and I hope she can find it in her heart to not completely write me off.”
“I’ll tell her, you big ass,” Tammy said, joking.
Chapter 18 – Looking the part
A while later, Alex emerged from Tammy’s room and came downstairs. Tammy was on the sofa reading her Bible, but there was no sign of Sean. Tammy looked up and greeted her daughter. “Mornin’, Mom,” Alex replied. “Thanks for listening last night. Where is he?” She couldn’t bring herself to say Sean’s name.
“He didn’t say where he was going, but he did tell me to tell you he realizes he was and still is a complete ass, that he’s very sorry and loves you, and hopes you won’t write him off.”
Alex smiled faintly. “I’m not going to write anyone off. But I’m glad the ass knows what an ass he is.”
“You can thank me later for explaining it to him,” Tammy replied. “Men can be so tone deaf, even the best of them.”
Alex thought about what her mother just said. Even the best of them. As ticked off as she was at Sean, she still had to admit that he was one of the best of them. Maybe even the best.
Meanwhile, Sean was on a quest to find something, anything, that would help to appease Alex. A flower arrangement with a dozen long-stemmed red roses was a given, so he first headed to a florist. He got there just as they were opening and was their first customer. “This is an emergency,” he told the woman behind the counter. “I really screwed up bad with my girlfriend and she’s royally pissed.” He then told her what he wanted and that he needed it ASAP.
The woman just smiled; she’d heard the same story a thousand times before. Clueless men who’d upset their women were a big part of her business. She told him she could have it ready for him in a few hours. But that wasn’t good enough; he offered to pay whatever was necessary to get the flowers as quickly as she could assemble the arrangement. This guy must really be desperate, she thought, as much as he was spending. She told him it would still take an hour, and he said he’d be back then.
Sean thought hard about what else he could do. Tammy warned him not to buy Alex expensive gifts, though the flowers were apparently an exception to that rule. He knew that she was right; Alex was not at all materialistic and wouldn’t appreciate them anyway. Besides, he didn’t want to inadvertently turn her into a spoiled, entitled bitch like some of his past girlfriends had been.
He looked to see if there was a costume store anywhere in town, and discovered there was one that stayed open year round. He saw they wouldn’t open for almost another hour. He then searched for a store that sold top line candies, and found a confectioner’s shop that opened in twenty minutes. He headed there and again was their first customer. He didn’t know what to get her, so he told the clerk the same thing he told the flower shop woman, and she helped him pick out an impressive assortment that anyone who liked candy would surely appreciate.
Next, Sean made a beeline to the costume store, and got there just as they were unlocking the door. He told the clerk the same story, and asked if they had a costume in his size of a pig or a donkey or something along those lines that he could rent for the weekend. It turned out that they had both, and Sean thought about it for a minute and chose the donkey costume. He tried it on, not so much to see if it fit, but because he intended to wear it home. When he went to the counter to pay, still wearing the costume and carrying his clothes, the clerk advised him that he’d have to take off the head in order to drive a vehicle. Sean would have realized that as soon as he got into his car, but he appreciated the warning.
He drove back to the florist and went inside, wearing the costume without the head. The woman working there laughed when she saw him, and asked, “What are you supposed to be?”
“A jackass,” he replied. “I left the head in the car.”
“You must have really, really screwed up bigtime,” she replied. “Not that it’s my business, but what did you do, cheat on her?”
“No, nothing like that. I took her out to dinner last night and we were discussing getting married. She probably thought I was going to propose to her, but instead I told her I wanted her to sign a prenup.”
“No offense, sir, but you really are a jackass of the highest order.”
“Yes, I realize that now.”
“Anyway, I hope your lady appreciates your efforts to win her back.”
“Thank you. I hope so, too.”
“I just have a small favor to ask, if you don’t mind,” said the woman. “Would you please go get the head and put it on, and then pose for a photo holding the flower arrangement? If you would do that, I’ll waive the fee for the rush order.”
“Sure, why not?” Sean replied agreeably. He retrieved the head and posed for several photos in front of a sign showing the name of the business. A short time later, they started using one of the photos in their advertising, and that particular flower arrangement became known as ‘The Jackass’.
Alex heard the garage door go up and knew that Sean had returned home. Her mother Tammy had gone to work. Alex had locked herself into shackles and chains, because she somehow felt comforted and soothed by being restrained. She quickly went to the sofa and pretended to be reading something on her phone. When she heard him enter the house, she intentionally didn’t look up. Sean said her name to get her attention, but it sounded strange – muffled, somehow. More out of curiosity than anything else, she glanced up, and immediately began laughing, despite her best efforts to stifle it. Sean was wearing a ridiculous donkey costume and carrying an enormous flower arrangement and a bag from a candy store.
Sean crossed the room over to her. It was obvious from his movements that he couldn’t see very well out of the mask. He got to the coffee table and set what he was carrying down on it. Then he kneeled in front of her and looked her in the eye as best he could. Alex was now giving him her full attention and had a wryly amused expression on her face, both of which were good signs.
“My dearest Alex,” he said, “I knew I’d messed up last night, but I didn’t know how badly. It’s since been brought to my attention what a complete and utter giant ass I was. I realize now that I deeply offended and hurt you, and for that I’m profoundly sorry. I would never intentionally do that to you. Please know for all time, if I ever offend or hurt you, it must have been unintentional on my part. But good intentions don’t excuse my callous, boorish behavior.
“I bring these tokens of my love for you as a peace offering, to show my sincerity. Beautiful flowers, which are mere weeds in comparison to your beauty, inside and out. Sweet candy, bland and tasteless compared to your sweetness. I can only hope that you’ll find it in your heart to accept my apology and give me the opportunity to earn back your trust and respect.
“If there’s anything else I can do – anything – to win back even a little of your affection, please tell me what it is.”
Alex quickly considered everything Sean had done and said since he’d come home that morning. He really seemed to understand what a douchebag he was the previous evening, and was really going the extra mile trying to make amends, with the donkey suit and all. She felt her anger toward him melting away. How could she stay mad at a man who was so self-aware he was a giant ass that he actually made himself look the part?
She thought about all they’d discussed at dinner prior to him bringing up the prenup. If he’d proposed then she would have said yes without hesitation. She didn’t love him any less now than she did then. She didn’t want to spend the rest of her life with him any less. Yeah, he was a douchebag, but he was her douchebag.
“Well, I can think of one thing… Propose to me,” Alex said in response.
Sean couldn’t believe his ears. That was the absolute last thing he expected her to say. “What? Right now?” he asked incredulously.
“Yes, right now, in the donkey suit. You’re already down on your knees anyway,” she replied. “But only if that’s what you really want.”
Sean struggled to regain his composure. “Alex, there is nothing in this world I want more,” he managed to said clearly. But then he started getting a big lump in his throat and felt himself getting emotional. “Alexa Marie Givens, you’re the most amazing girl I’ve ever known, and I want to spend the rest of my life making you happy. Will you marry me?”
“Yes, you big ass, I’ll gladly marry you,” replied Alex. “But just so you know, I’m still mad at you about last night.” In reality, she wasn’t, but she wasn’t ready to admit that to herself, let alone Sean.
“I promise, I’ll do everything I can to make it up to you,” he told her. “Can I take off the donkey head and kiss you now?”
“I don’t know; I kind of like you like that,” Alex replied, teasing him. “At least this way I know what I’m getting. But I would like to be kissed and have some other things done to me, too. I’ve heard that donkeys get absolutely massive boners. Why don’t we take this to the dungeon and find out? Once you’ve properly restrained me, I’m all yours. Make it good, because I’m still getting over being mad at you. Just no subspace today, because I have to leave for work in a couple of hours.”
The donkey costume included hand coverings with hard plastic ‘hooves’ which precluded the use of fingers, but Sean had Alex lean forward, and he was able to get his arm between her body and the chain running from her metal collar to her wrist shackles. Still fully costumed, he then led her to the dungeon by the chain.
As soon as they got to the dungeon and closed the door, Sean took off the donkey head and hooves, and Alex puckered up for a kiss. But Sean just said, “Not yet,” and proceeded to remove the chain connecting her wrist shackles, move her hands behind her back, and then reattach the chain. “Okay, now,” he said, and they passionately kissed for several minutes.
Sean then said, “I probably haven’t yet re-earned the right to tell you what to do, but please consider my request. I don’t want you to ever hug me with your arms again. From now on, when you want to hug me, I want you to instead put your hands behind your back and snuggle close to me. That will be your new way of hugging. I’ll still hug you the normal way.
“I’d also like you make more of a determined effort to learn to do things without using your hands. You don’t have to be cuffed or restrained to practice this. But when we’re home together and you want to be in mobile restraints, I’d like you to have your hands restrained behind your back in some manner. Even when you’re not in restraints, I’d like you to try to keep your hands behind your back when you can.”
“Obviously, you still need to use your hands when working or driving any other number of things, and that’s fine. But at home, I want you to use them as little as possible.”
“May I ask why? Is there something you don’t like about my arms or hands?” Alex asked in reply.
“I don’t know, really. I just find it to be a major turn-on, that’s all,” replied Sean. “At least please agree to the armless hugging request, and consider the other things I said.”
“You’re right, you haven’t re-earned the right to tell me what to do. But I’ll agree to hugging request on a trial basis, keeping in mind that I might forget until I get used to it. Feel free to remind me if I do, assuming I haven’t decided to going back to hugging the normal way. I’ll consider the other things. I might do them off and on for a while.
“Now let’s get on with it, shall we? If I recall, you were going to ravage me.”
Chapter 19 – Transitions
From that day on, Alex never again hugged Sean with her arms. She found it pleasurable to instead do what he asked, to put her hands behind her back and snuggle against him. It became her own special way of showing affection to him that she did with no one else and no one else did with him. Sean always seemed to genuinely enjoy receiving affection from her in this way. He always imagined her with her hands cuffed or otherwise restrained behind her back when she did this, even when they weren’t.
Alex had sporadically had Sean bind her with her arms behind her back when they were home together, but at his request she began doing it consistently. In order to become more proficient accomplishing tasks when restrained this way, she also worked at doing them without using her arms or hands even when not restrained. Sean didn’t even want her to use her hands when they were behind her back, so she stopped doing that. Her shoulders got more and more used to her arms being behind her and no longer ached when they were restrained that way for an extended period.
It didn’t take much further discussion for Alex and Sean to agree that they’d get married in May after she graduated from community college, by the justice of the peace at the county courthouse. Alex hadn’t decided whether she’d wear a white wedding dress or just a nice regular dress. Sean wanted to take her on an expensive honeymoon, which Alex insisted she didn’t need. Sean had her apply for a passport immediately in hopes she’d get it in time if they decided to go somewhere outside the country.
As far as the prenuptial agreement went, they worked that out, too. Alex wasn’t stupid; she’d always realized that she’d probably need to sign one with Sean due to their huge difference in income and assets. It was most unromantic to have to think about and do, but it still needed to be done. But Sean insisted that she have her own lawyer advise her so she could be assured of being treated fairly, and the lawyer told her she’d never seen such a generous prenup as this one. Sean was certainly protecting himself early on, but the longer they stayed married, the more she’d become entitled to.
It dawned on Alex that if their marriage ever got into serious trouble, Sean wouldn’t have any incentive to stick it out hoping things would improve, and every incentive to end it as quickly as possible. She asked to have a clause added to the contract that specified they’d have to be in marriage counseling for a year before he could file for divorce unless she also agreed to end the marriage before then. Sean agreed to that, but only if it worked the other way as well. Clearly they both intended for the marriage to last a lifetime.
They talked more about what they wanted their wedding to look like. It turned out, they both wanted Alex to be in restraints during the wedding ceremony, which pretty much ruled out either a courthouse wedding or a wedding with invited guests. To make it legal, all they needed was an officiant and two witnesses. The only problem was that the only person who knew about their mutual bondage kink was Alex’s mother Tammy, who lived with them. Well, her and the cop who had done the wellness check on Alex that time. There was no reason why Tammy couldn’t be a witness, but they’d need to let at least one other person in on their secret.
The couple discussed asking Sean’s cousin Kate to be the other witness, but of course they’d have to explain to her in advance what she was getting into. Sean was really uncomfortable with doing that, and they abandoned that idea. Among their family, friends, and acquaintances, besides Tammy, absolutely no one knew Alex was into bondage, and the only people who knew Sean was were his exes. Alex vetoed having one of Sean’s exes witness their wedding. There was no one else either of them felt comfortable enough with to share their secret.
They returned to the courthouse wedding idea and decided it was their best option. Any restraints or other bondage-related items would either have to be hidden under Alex’s dress or be subtle enough that no one would think anything of them, but they’d be free to choose the witnesses most meaningful to each of them and invite a few other people they were close to.
Alex didn’t care where they went for their honeymoon. She’d never been more than 50 miles (80 km) from where she was born and raised, so anywhere would be new and exciting. Sean wanted to take her to a unique, world-class destination, but every time he’d suggest somewhere even remotely exotic she’d shoot it down, saying that it was too expensive and that certainly there must be amazing things to see and do much closer to home and for a lot less money. She wasn’t even crazy about going to a mainstream European city with famous tourist attractions such as Rome, Paris, or London.
Sean did an online search for world-class destinations in the western hemisphere. Many of the places high on the list were U.S. cities that he’d been to and weren’t anything special in his opinion. A few natural attractions were also listed. One in particular looked like it had some potential – Yosemite National Park in California. There were enough spectacular sights there that they could spend a week and not get bored. Spring was apparently the best time to visit, as the many waterfalls were quite full from snow melting in the mountains. And it literally was a world-class destination; people came from all over the planet to see the natural beauty that could only be found there.
The nearest major city to Yosemite was San Francisco, and Sean knew it was also a world-class place with many iconic landmarks. He’d been there, but only for a business conference that didn’t give him any time to explore the city. So Sean floated the idea of a trip to Yosemite, with them flying into San Francisco and spending a couple of days there as well. This was the first suggestion he’d made where Alex actually smiled as he described it to her. He knew he’d found a winner; something that they’d both appreciate and enjoy.
May was shaping up to be quite the eventful month for Alex. She’d quit the fast food job she’d had since she was 16, graduate from community college with an associate of applied science degree in dental hygiene, marry Sean at the courthouse, fly for the first time, go with him on their honeymoon to Yosemite and San Francisco, celebrate her 21st birthday, and begin her new career as a dental hygienist.
In the courthouse, heading to the room where weddings were held, Alex and Sean encountered Judge Jublinski in the hallway. He was the husband of Sean’s ex-girlfriend who they’d met on the night of their first date. All three immediately recognized each other, especially since the couple were intentionally wearing the same outfits they’d worn that evening two years earlier.
“It looks like you two are here to get married, I’d say,” observed the judge. Alex and Sean looked at each other lovingly and smiled, and Sean responded to the judge affirmatively. “I wish you better luck than I had with Jessica,” he replied. “It cost me a lot of money to get that gold-digging bitch out of my life.”
“It’s a shame you didn’t figure her out until after you married her,” Sean said. “I realized she was bad news pretty quickly. But no worries; Alex is the least materialistic girl I’ve ever known, and we’ve been together for over two years now.”
“That’s good, but you still got a prenup, right?” the judge asked. “You can never be too careful.”
“We have one,” replied Alex, “but neither of us have any intention of giving the other a reason to need it.”
“Well, I hope you’re right. In any case, congratulations, and good luck,” said the judge.
Attending the courthouse wedding were Alex’s mother Tammy, Sean’s cousin Kate, and more of Sean’s family from out-of-town, including his parents and his brother. Having no family besides her mother and no close friends, Alex asked Kate to be her witness, and Sean’s was his brother. Alex wore the royal blue dress that she’d picked out with Kate’s help and the necklace Sean had given her, both of which she’d worn for their first date. Under her dress she wore a padlocked chain around her waist.
The honeymoon trip to Yosemite and San Francisco was everything Sean had hoped for and way better than Alex could have imagined. She’d never been on a vacation in her life, and it just seemed like a dream come true to be able to devote all day, every day to just doing fun things with Sean in such beautiful places.
This included their time both in and out of their hotel rooms. Sean had brought a whole suitcase full of portable bondage gear, some that he already had and some that he purchased for the occasion. By mutual agreement, Alex spent all of her time in the hotel room naked, chained, and shackled with her hands bound behind her back, unless she were in some other bondage device that required otherwise. Neither of them had had so much sex in such a short time in their lives.
Whenever they left the hotel room, Alex wore the chain padlocked around her waist that she’d had under her dress during the wedding. Every bite of food she ate the entire trip she was fed by Sean. He really had a thing about her not using her hands any more than necessary, especially in his presence, but both of them found this to be surprisingly romantic as well as arousing. This caused them to get some funny looks in restaurants and other public places, but neither of them cared a bit.
During the honeymoon, the two talked more in depth about having children. Both were in agreement that they wanted at least two, and potentially a lot more than that, depending on how things went with the first two. Sean was inclined to start relatively soon, both in consideration of his age, and to allow for the possibility of Alex having lots of pregnancies before she became too old. Alex, though, was about to start her career as a dental hygienist, and wanted some time to become established in that before she began taking maternity leave.
They agreed that they’d wait a year and would revisit the question of when to start trying to get pregnant on their first wedding anniversary. Neither of them had strong feelings whether Alex should continue to work or become a stay-home mom once they had kids. There were simply too many variables that they couldn’t yet anticipate. They agreed that that was a decision they could defer until the time came.
The first day they were in San Francisco was Alex’s 21st birthday. Sean encouraged her to have a glass of wine or a cocktail with dinner. It would be the first time alcohol had ever passed her lips. She’d been so repulsed by alcohol from how it had affected her mother that she’d never wanted anything to do with it. On the other hand, she had Sean’s example of how to be a responsible, occasional drinker. Alex was torn.
“I’m going to have to pass, I think,” she told Sean after thinking about it. “I still have very strong negative associations with alcohol thanks to my mother. Besides, there very well could be a hereditary component to alcoholism. And,” she said with a twinkle in her eye, “if our plans come to fruition, I might be spending most of the next twenty years either pregnant or nursing or both, and alcohol will be off-limits. So why even get started?”
“I can respect that,” replied Sean. “Forget I ever suggested it.”
Alex thought of something else. “Also, if I do want to escape reality for a while, I can do it completely naturally by having you take me to subspace.”
“Quite true, that,” agreed Sean. “Which reminds me, we should do that when we get home. We’ll both have a few days before we have to go back to work.”
The following Monday morning, Sean returned to his stockbroker job and Alex began her first day as a dental hygienist. Although she was brand-new at this, she couldn’t believe how adult she felt. Fast food jobs are for teenagers and for adults with no hope, no future. Now she worked in a dentist’s office. She treated patients. It didn’t get any more professional than that. Besides that, she was now a married woman, and she had the ring on her finger to prove it.
Alex couldn’t be happier with how her life had turned out, and couldn’t be more excited about what the future held for Sean and her. All because some perv had tried to grab her on the street one night and a good Samaritan passing by interrupted his life and made it his business. In a strange, twisted way, she was indebted to that creep. She wondered what had become of him.
