When I was finally ready to go, we left the apartment complex and headed to the mall.

“So”, Ben asked, “how did you like your first morning with one arm?”

“It’s more challenging than I thought”, I replied. “But you know how much I love a challenge.”

He smiled at that.

“I don’t regret my decision from yesterday. I know this is temporary and that makes it fun rather than terrifying.”

“I think I understand what you mean.”

“I can’t wait for you to see the shop. I have a feeling we’ll be doing this sort of thing more often from now on.”

“I’m looking forward to it.” Ben chuckled.
