In an attempt to find a cure for the common cold, science inadvertently created a new virus - one that had bizarre consequences for anyone who caught it.
Those who catch this virus become immune to the common cold, but undergo five stages of metamorphosis.
Stage 1 - The infected person looks outwardly normal, but has an acute sense of smell, on par with that of a bloodhound. Those in stage 1 of this virus have been known to have a more nasal tone to their voice.
Stage 2 - The infected person has a larger-than-normal nose, while their mouth is visibly smaller. As the nose gradually increases in size, the mouth gradually decreases.
Stage 3 - The infected person no longer has a mouth, and their nose has grown to take its place. The nose is now responsible for oral functions as well as olfactory functions, and in addition to an even more acute sense of smell, has increased muscular capabilities. As such, those in this stage of the virus have been known to chew food by flexing their nostrils. Eyesight also gradually decreases during this stage.
Stage 4 - The infected person's eyes have disappeared, and their nose has increased in size even further, taking over their face. Those in this stage of the virus are completely blind, but their sense of smell has increased to ten times that of an African elephant. As such, those in this stage been known to function just as well as if they could see or speak.
Stage 5 (not pictured) - The final stage of the virus leaves the infected person's head as one large nose. Those in this stage are deaf, blind and mute, but have the greatest sense of smell of any organism on earth.
Sadly, there is no known cure for the Big Nose Virus. Fortunately, it's not a very contagious virus, and can only be caught in very rare circumstances.
