When I was 15, I saw The Incredibles in the cinema. I think it was there that I became interested in women with the power to stretch like Reed Richards or Elastigirl.

But more than the film itself, what piqued my interest was an advertisement that played before the film. It was about a woman who stretches her arm like Elastigirl to take part in a promotion to win $250,000, and despite never seeing the ad again either in the cinema or on television, it stuck with me. I was determined to find a copy and share it with others, but had little luck for the next 15 years, and it didn't even turn up on Youtube when Incredibles 2 came out. I was ready to give up hope of ever finding it again...until recently.

On July 2nd of 2020, History Me's TV Archive uploaded a video of adverts that aired on the 30th of December 2004, and there, at the 3:58 timecode, was the ad (youtu.be/ZRHywnCT47Q). It was a VHS rip that was faded and covered in static, and I wasn't even sure if it was the exact same ad I saw in the cinema at first...but I had finally found a copy. Naturally, I shared it around with other like-minded people, and it would no longer prey on my mind the way it did for the last fifteen years. That said, I still hold out hope that someone finds or uploads a better copy of the ad, but it's a relief to have evidence of its existence.

This story is based on that ad, and will most likely continue with other stories of Tanya's new powers. To all those who wanted to see the ad since I first mentioned it to them...thank you for your patience.
