Previous:&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="http://fav.me/ddgsfag">Koneko - Part 3</a><br /><br />Okay, confession time. This is the sequel to&nbsp;<a href="http://fav.me/d7quhlm">The Lucky Cat</a>, a collaboration between yours truely and Jonny Schweer. Jade Vesta and Akemi Adachi are Jon's OC's, and the others I'm not altogether sure which one of us thought them up. The Lucky Cat was Jon's brainchild, but once I had the general idea I did quite a bit of the writing.<br /><br />I further disguised this work by changing Akemi's original name, who, in the Lucky Cat, Jon had named Aurella Anders. As I have mentioned previously, I leaned heavily on my Japanese friend, <span class="username-with-symbol u"><a class="u premium username" href="https://www.deviantart.com/sudo5348" target="_self">sudo5348</a><span class="user-symbol premium" data-quicktip-text="Core Member" data-show-tooltip="1" data-gruser-type="premium"></span></span> , for assistance with everything Japanese related in this story and together we discussed appropriate names that might better reflect the Lucky Cat's Japanese heritage. I have changed her name in the original work already. In the original story, Jon had used the term Koun no Neko as meaning 'The Lucky Cat'. Sudo has assured me that when spoken in his native language it is <i>Maneki Neko</i>, so I went with that, and changed it in the original as well.<br /><br />After the intial reactions to this story have died down, I'll be changing some Author's Notes in both stories to point out that this is a sequel.
