I figured it was about time to start sharing Photoshop resources. The original idea was to share layer styles, but there were so many different layer styles in this file that it made more sense to share a slightly edited version of the file (logo/watermark removed). I figured I should leave the preview huge to show all the elements in the PSD file.
The layers are not ordered according to their names, because they were moved around after they were named. In order, from top layer to bottom, the PSD file contains:
Coming soon: "Coming soon" with Bevel&Emboss and Stroke
Layer 5: "Charlie's Sweatergirls" also with Bevel&Emboss and Stroke
Layer 3: white spotlights with yellow Outer Glow
Layer 1 copy: white highlights for Layer 1, with yellow Outer Glow. Layer 1 was copied to add highlights without blurring the original layer
Layer 1: silhouette of three girls highlighted in Layer 1 copy. No Layer Style
Layer 4: gold glow from spotlights in Layer 3, with a layer mask to fade the glow at the bottom
Layer 6: Black layer two pixels wider and higher than the black area of Layer 8, because stroking the layer had almost no effect
Layer 8: the heart of the file. The black base for the poster, with a drop shadow and a Bevel&Emboss metallic frame
EDIT: If you're seeing this on a phone it's possible this might look very different than it does on a PC monitor or a tablet. Seems every system shows transparencies a little different; ditto with different file types (the preview file is PNG rather than JPG). But I intend to adjust the downloadable PSD file so the layer names do reflect their placement in the file. Soon.
And thanks to BstTeddy for faving!
