Mary and Sue had been planning this trip for a long time. A fair amount of the delay was the cost. Largess Resort was fairly exclusive and exceptionally expensive. It had beautiful beaches, state of the art accommodations, and top-tier service. It also had to pay exorbitant penalties, licenses, and legal settlements thanks to some of the more common activities the guests sought out when visiting.

Once the money was squared away, though, there was still the issue of actually convincing Sue to make the trip. She wasn’t adventurous at the best of times, seldom straying from her favorite foods and even reluctant to take a chance on new TV shows of film franchises. Largess was so far outside her comfort zone she probably wouldn’t have even learned about it if not for Mary. Once she found out what went on there, she planted her feet and categorically refused to even consider a visit. Six long months of constant pleading, begging, nagging, needling, and other coercion finally eroded her will power and she relented.

Now the pair, best friends since pre-school, were walking along the pristine beach on the island’s tropical northern shore with cameras and assorted beach accessories. They were each dressed in their new bikinis, bought just for the trip. Like virtually every other part of the trip, Mary had insisted they take this trip as an opportunity to work on their tans and show off their bodies. Sue was, not surprisingly, not fond of the thought. Upon their arrival, however, she discovered that the place had almost no other guests, so she could don her bikini without having to be too self-conscious.

Of the two, Sue was the more petite. She was quite lean, with a swimmer’s body in both its lean muscle tone and its near complete lack of curves. Mary, on the other hand, had a luscious body and knew it, packing her bountiful chest into a top a size too small for it and threading a spaghetti string bottom between two of the loveliest cheeks one was likely to see. To put the icing on the cake, and to illustrate her dedication to appearance over practicality, she made sure to buy a pair of high-heel sandals to show off her dynamite legs all the more effectively.

Sue looked back along the path, which was bringing them to a quaint little pier.

“I don’t know if we should go much further. We’re almost out of sight of the hotel,” Sue fretted.

“So? They own the whole island. It isn’t like we’ll be arrested for trespassing. And the further we get from the resort, more likely well get to see some of the animals!”

“That’s what I’m afraid of…” Sue said, looking nervously about.

“Oh, come on, Sue. Largess Resort is here because of the animals.” She rummaged through her bag to reveal the brochure. “See, Largess Resort boasts some of the largest naturally occurring wildlife in the world, with Largess subspecies of many well-known creatures appearing often many times the natural size of their conventional counterparts. It was for this reason the resort was given its name, as it’s native species enjoy the peerless generosity of its natural bounty.

“I know there are lots of big animals here, Mary. That’s why I’m scared! They could be dangerous.”

Mary cleared her throat and consulted the brochure. “For the safety and comfort of our guests, care has been taken to isolate the more dangerous animals to the southern half of the island. The only exceptions are a handful of species that have proved impractical to contain, including some species of bird, assorted fish, and the occasional amphibian. There, see? Nothing to be afraid of. Just get your camera ready and be sure to snap a picture when one comes along.”

Sue was unconvinced, but brandished her DSLR as though it would protect her from the unexpected.

They rounded a curve of the beach, placing a substantial stand of tropical trees between them and the palatial resort grounds. The pier had a nice, aged patina to it, which made for a very picturesque setting. They wandered along it, snapping pictures of the sparking waves and feathery white clouds. Sue’s anxiety was slow to ease, but by the time they reached the edge of the pier she was genuinely enjoying the scenery.

Her relaxation vanished with a flurry of feathers, as an example of the island’s megafauna made an appearance. Sue squealed in fear and nearly stumbled off the edge of the pier as a massive white bird, taller that either herself or Mary, landed on one of the pylons.

“Oh! A pelican!” Mary proclaimed.

She held up her camera and snapped some pictures.

“Mary! Get away from there!” Sue said.

“Why? It’s just a bird.”

“It’s like nine feet tall!”

“And?” She snapped another picture.

“It could eat you!”

Mary turned and looked at her in disbelief. She once again retrieved the brochure. “Our famous wildlife. Let’s see… Here! Our native pelican species, Pelicanus onocrotalus Largess, has one of the smallest apparent size differences from its foreign counterpart, reaching a length of 10 feet. See? It’s barely bigger than a regular one. It is characterized by its wider bill and more spacious gular sack. It principally eats the native fish and frog species. Nothing to worry about.”

“Well how big are the frogs?”

Mary grumbled and flipped through the brochure. “You’re making me to homework here… FrogsAn average of 85 lbs. There, we’re too big for it to eat.”

“You’re only like 115 lbs. That’s not so different from a frog.”

“I’m 107, thank you very much.”

“That’s even closer! And I’m only 95 lbs. I might as well be a frog as far as that thing is concerned.”

She gritted her teeth. “But you’re not a frog. You’re the wrong shape. You wouldn’t be able to fit down its throat. And besides, the thing is practically tame! It’s sitting there watching us argue. Does that sound like a bloodthirsty woman-eater to you?”

“I don’t want to give it a chance. Let’s go!”

Mary sighed. “Look, I’ll prove it to you.”

She handed her bag and camera to Sue and walked up to the pelican, which looked at her curiously.

“Hey there pelican! I know I look like a completely inedible lady, but actually I’m a tasty fish and/or frog, so eat me if you dare!” she proclaimed.

The pelican was unconvinced. Mary turned around.

“There, see? No danger whatsoev-eeek!”

Perhaps seeing her shapely bottom helped the pelican find its appetite, because once she had her back turned it pivoted its head and snapped its beak on either side of her waste. With a slow, difficult shift of its head neck, it threw its beak wide and jutted its head forward. Mary’s butt plopped snugly into the beak. She struggled and tried to climb out, but all she managed to do was twist so that she was facing front and her legs were dangling on either side of the beak. Her knees were hooked over the edge of its bill and were pressed almost against her chin. The upper bill sat on top of her head like a hat, and her butt stretched the skin of its pouch lewdly.

“Mary!” Sue squealed, to petrified to move.

The exclamation startled the pelican, who attempted to take off. All it succeeded in doing was fall from the pylon and thump down onto the pier. The sudden motion caused Mary to slide further backward toward its throat. When it finally recovered, the pouch was wrapped snuggly around the whole of her thigh and calves. Her body was folded into jackknife position. Only her feet remained outside the mouth.

“What do I do? What do I do?” Sue said.

“Hang on. Hang on,” Mary said, wriggling. It made her swing like she was sitting rather uncomfortably in a hammock. “I’m on top of this. I know exactly what I’m doing.”

The pelican begged to disagree. It jutted its head forward, causing her feet to slip inside, then snapped its bill shut. Mary struggled a bit more, her tightly wrapped form sliding around in the pelican’s mouth until her legs were folded in front of her. The pouch was pulled so tight Sue could see the curves of Mary’s breast where she leaned forward toward the front of the beak. Then, with a bit of effort, she worked her fingers out from in between the bills and lifted her head. This levered the bill open, giving her the look of Oscar the grouch peeking out of his trash can.

“There. See?” she said, smirking. “The bird can’t swallow me. I’m too big.”

It jiggled her and jutted its head some more, but all she did was bounce a bit. The tight ring of its throat was against her butt and refused to stretch enough for her to slip through.

“Get out of there!” Sue said.

“I will, but first, get a picture!” Mary said, shifting to raise her head a bit more.

“Are you crazy!?”

“Come on, it’s the perfect vacation photo from Largess Resort!”

“Just get out!”

“Not until you take a picture. The faster you take it, the sooner I crawl out.”

“F-fine!” Sue said, fumbling with the camera.

Mary shifted a bit, feeling the most flesh against her almost bare skin. If she could forget the source of the snug embrace, she would have almost enjoyed it. Sue raised the camera and snapped a picture.

“Now get out of there!” Sue said.

“Let me do a few poses, Jeez!” Mary said.

She worked her way through the standards, including duck lips and peace sign, before sliding herself forward to let both her breasts plop out over either side of the bill. Sue just barely had time to get the picture before the pelican, perhaps a photography critic, jutted its head forward again to gulp her breasts back inside. It tried hard to squeeze its bill shut, shoving her entirely inside once more, but as soon as it was through she was able to push her head back up to open the bill.

“Okay, that’s enough. I’m climbing out now,” Mary said.

She slid her feet under her and made ready to stand. The flesh was more slippery than she realized, and her toes slid back toward the throat. Now with all of her weight pressing on just the balls of her feet, her feet slipped easily through the muscular ring of its throat. Her legs straightened and she felt the much tighter muscular tube of its throat slide up her thighs until the throat popped over her hips and cinched tight around her waist.

“Oooh…” she said with a shiver, wriggling her legs to the degree she could within its neck. “That feels weird.

Sue’s mouth hung open. Her friend’s magnificent legs were now tightly outlined in the neck of the giant seabird. She was now standing at her full height, almost fully hidden within the bird. Her feet were visible as an angular bulge in the sagging belly of the bird. Her weight had forced it so far down that Mary was effectively standing on the pier. The neck cocooned her lower body, and her upper body was pressed tight against the front of the neck pouch. The bill was pointing straight up, and Mary was holding the top and bottom apart like some sort of a cartoon character trying to avoid getting eaten by a crocodile.

“It’s okay,” she said, peering out the side of the bill at her friend. “I’ve got everything under control. There just isn’t enough bird to eat me. I’ll be just—“

*SHLRP* *SNAP*

The pelican simply stretched its neck to its full length, allowing sliding its throat up over Mary’s midriff and breasts. They stood proudly outward, bulging the pelican’s throat enough to show some pink between its feathers. Now with the ring of its throat up over her breasts, and thus with plenty to hang on to, it retracted its neck again.

Mary tried to remain standing, but evidently the inside of a pelican’s stomach doesn’t make for very good traction. Her feet slipped, her knees bent, and she shlorped right down its throat. For a few moments most of her body was a beautiful bulge in the pelican’s neck, struggling and writhing but not making any progress. Finally, it successfully squeezed her entirely into its stomach. Her body curled up inside the bird, every detail of her body visible in its downy white covering.

“Um… Sue?” Mary said, her voice extremely muffled.

“Y-yes Mary,” Sue said, her brain more or less frozen in disbelief.

“I think maybe it might be time to go get the resort staff.”

“Right!”

She dropped the bags and ran.

Unfortunately, wild animals have an innate awareness when the local predators are likely to be a problem. After a big meal, antelope have no problem approaching a lion. And apparently after a pelican has gulped down a meal that leaves it pinned to the pier under its own weight, its prey has no problem showing up. Thus, Sue got all of three steps when she felt something gooey slap painfully into her back.

She turned to find the gooey thing was a tongue, and it led a few yards back to a frog nearly as large as her. Her eyes widened as it planted its feet and retracted its tongue. The yanking motion easily pulled her off her feet, and the momentum drove her butt first into its gaping maw. She came to a stop with only her flailing arms and legs outside of its mouth, and a few forceful gulps and mashing shoves with its webbed feet forced her inside.

If Sue’s wits were with her, she might have remarked just how educational the day had been. She’d learned that pelicans, as she’d surmised, could eat women. She’d also discovered frogs could eat women too, even if those women were larger than the frog in question. And now she was learning that when a frog ate something larger than it was, the stretching necessary to contain it actually left its bloated belly partially transparent.

Sue looked around, her body crammed tightly into the slimy innards of the frog like she was stuffed into a wiggling green balloon. Her body bloated its stomach so much its forelegs didn’t even touch the pier, and its hind legs flapped uselessly, unable to do much more than scoot her an inch or two along the pier.

“…Sue?” Mary called, her voice barely audible a few feet and two stomachs away.

“Y-yeah, Mary?” Sue replied, her eye twitching and her expression manic.

“Did something bad happen?”

“I got eaten by a frog, Mary.”

“…Oh… Well we’ll just wait here until someone finds us, I guess.”

“Mary?”

“Yeah, Sue?”

“This was a terrible idea for a vacation!!!”

“I don’t know… It brought us closer to nature.”
