Angela: Does Bethany seem a bit off to you?
Tish: You mean because she’s happy?
Angela: She isn’t as happy as she let’s on. I thought she was doing good. But something isn’t right.

Jenny: Have you tried talking to her?
Angela: That’s the other thing. I think she’s avoiding me.
Jenny: Why would she do that?
Angela: If I knew that I wouldn't be worried. I can feel it. Something is wrong.
Panel 3 – Bottom row. Bethany descends into a storm shelter. Tish’s and Angela’s bubbles at the top of the panel don’t imply they are nearby. Just that their conversation wasn’t quite finished yet.

Panel 4 – Bethany fearfully opens the door at the bottom of the stairs
Voice: Are you afraid of me, Miss Wilson? You have nothing to fear from me. I just want to be your friend.
Bethany: I have other friends, now.
Panel 5 – full shot of demon in a spell circle.
Demon: That’s wonderful. But, that doesn’t mean you can discard me?
Bethany: Stop resisting the banishment.
Demon: Friends do things for one another. I did something for you. You promised me a soul to get rid of your mother. Is she not gone?
Bethany: You didn’t do that. I hid her myself.
Demon: Are you sure? All I can see is you wanted her gone and she is gone. Now, pay me.
