Angela is a big fan of lateral thinking. There's a small cameo in the last panel.

Panel 1 – in the mall

Mommy: I can’t believe how much you’ve grown in the four months I’ve been… away.

Angela: I told Daddy I needed new clothes. He didn’t believe me.

Daddy: I wasn’t sure how to shop for you. I’ll leave you two to shop. I need to get a new keyboard for my computer.

Panel 2 – they smooch

Panel 3 – he walks away

Daddy: Mall closes in two hours. We'll meet here at this fountain at that time.

Panel 4 – Angela walking into a store. Mommy sees a dress.

The middle row of little panels - A montage of Angela in different clothes. Mommy is eyeballing the dress the whole time.

Panel 5 – Looking at the dress

Angela: Mommy, you’ve been staring at that dress the whole time we’ve been here. You should buy it.

Mommy: When would I wear that dress. It’s too dressy.

Angela: You and Daddy should get dressed up and go somewhere fancy to celebrate your return.

Mommy: Yes, we should. That does mean I shouldn’t buy a dress like that? It can’t possibly fit.

Angela: Yes, it can.

Panel 6 – at the fountain, Angela sits waiting

Daddy: Why are you sitting here alone with all those bags? Where’s your mother?

Angela: Trying on a dress.

Daddy: And you walked away.

Angela: I’ll take you there.

Panel 7 – at the store, a gate bars the entry

Daddy: Why is your mother a mannequin?

Angela: She’s trying the dress.

Daddy: Angela, the store is closed until tomorrow. Even if you restored her, she would be trapped in the store.

Angela: I guess we’ll have to come back tomorrow.

Panel 8 – walking away. People can be seen in looking at Mommy mannequin

Daddy: Did you plan this?

Angela: Now that she had a beautiful dress, you should take her out to someplace nice.

Daddy: You didn’t answer my question.
