If you haven't read any of the Ted's Dolls stories before, you should start with Ted's Dolls 1: Jane before reading this one. Mark is introduced in Ted's Dolls 7: Jane and Emily. The saga of Emily, Rhana, Lady Elswood, and Princess Mylya takes place in Ted's Dolls 4: Emily 2 and Ted's Dolls 12: Emily 3.

“So did you rescue the Princess?” Jane said.

“I'm the Princess,” Emily said. They sat at their usual table in the cafeteria. “Rhana is Lady Elswood. And no, we didn't even find her yet, let alone figure out what we will need to do once we do.”

“There were other players.”

“No, when I say 'we' I mean Mylya and her retainers, men-at-arms, and others. She is a Princess. She can't go off into the woods by herself without guards.”

“Of course not. What would Duke Ferdinand think?”

“Ha, ha.”

“Are you talking about our game?” A voice said from behind. Rhana was standing behind Emily who looked up. Rhana gave her a big hug. “Since you're talking about it, you must have had fun last night.”

“It was great. Have you two met? Rhana, this is Jane. Jane, Rhana, also known as Lady Elswood.”

“Charmed, I'm sure, M'Lady,” Jane said.

Rhana laughed. “Do you play or is Emily boring with her game stories?”

“If only you weren't lost and could rescue me.”

“If only,” Rhana said. “Well, I'll leave you to what you were up to. I just wanted to make sure Emily enjoyed herself last night. And I wanted to tell you: how you escaped from the kidnapper last night was perfection.”

“You didn't have a problem with that?”

“Not at all and judging by the way Jane looks, you didn't tell her the juicy parts of last night. I'll leave that to you.” She gave Emily another hug and walked away.

“Juicy parts?”

“This requires a bit of setup. The Princess was kidnapped. She woke up tied to a chair and I insisted Earl use the handcuffs that I know they own to hold me to the chair.”

“Kinky.”

“Not yet. The kidnapper had suppressed the Princess' magic abilities with a necklace. She convinced the kidnapper that he should work for her for special benefits including...” she lowered her voice “... a blow job as long as he came on her chest.”

“Frisky Princess.”

“Well, yes, so I gave Earl a blow job,” she said, still speaking softly.

“What?” Jane exclaimed.

“Keep it down,” Emily said looking around, well aware that all eyes within a few tables were on her. Ted was also standing nearby.

“What's this about a blow job?” He said without regard for whom may have heard him.

“Fuck,” Emily said as Jane laughed.

“Let me get this straight,” Jane said. “You gave a guy a blowjob last night while his girlfriend watched. And, just now, she hugged you and said she loved that you did it?”

“I suppose kinky was the right word.”

“You missed that she had her hands cuffed behind her.”

“This just gets more and more fascinating,” Ted sat down. “Do continue.”

“After the kidnapper came on the necklace, it disrupted the anti-magic and she was able use a charm spell to get him to untie her. She then smothered him to death with her massive breasts.”

“You don't have massive breasts.”

“Lady Elswood does.”

“It's true,” Ted said. “When Earl first requested a doll, it was well-endowed up top. And Emily was that doll.”

“Earl is a lucky man to have Rhana.”

“And now Emily apparently.”

“He doesn't have me. I'm on loan.”

They laughed.

“What brings you out of your cave?” Jane said to Ted.

“I have another weird proposal for you, Jane.”

“Didn't we do this a few weeks ago?”

“We did. But this time Mark is the instigator.”

“He called you?”

“What did I miss?” Emily said.

“You know I signed the papers after my lawyer looked them over,” Jane said. “Mark called me about a modeling gig that involved me being a mannequin and I told him I would need Ted for that.”

“Did he give you the specifics?”

“No.”

“Well, let me explain.”

* * *

Jane and Ted were driving across town the next morning.

“I can't believe Mark got me a gig as a mannequin.”

“Several mannequins, I was told.”

“But $2000 to be several mannequins for one day? Plus residuals?”

“Residuals?”

“I don't know. Mark said there would be residuals but had to hang up before I could ask him what that meant.”

“Odd.”

They arrived at an office building and easily found parking as it was a Saturday. They pressed the security button outside the main entrance. The sign on the door read, “Classic Castings.”

“Who's there?”

“Ted and Jane to see Mr. Zyznewsky.”

The door buzzed and the voice said, “Come in.”

A short elevator ride later they were greeted by a man in his forties wearing business casual clothes under an art smock. Jane immediately recognized him as the man who had been sketching her when she was in the boutique window as a mannequin.

“You must be Ted. I'm Stephen. And Jane, I must confess I've seen you before working at The Bluebelle Boutique.”

“I recognize you as one of my admirers.”

“Only professionally. See, when I saw you the first time in that window I had to find out where the boutique had found such a striking mannequin. And at first they would not tell me until I told them I worked here. They informed me that you were a rental but would not give me any more details. I came back a few times and noticed that your pose was totally different from the last time and not in a way that could easily be done without a different mold process, for a normal mannequin.

“I did some digging and found out about Ted's dolls. The next time I called the boutique, they told me you had a modeling agent and I called them. And they arranged for me to have time with you today.”

“And what are we doing today?” Jane said.

“Mark left the details a bit vague,” Ted said.

“Classic Castings wants to create a line of mannequins using Jane as the model. But instead of casting the mold from Jane. I want you to turn her into a mannequin and cast the mold from it.”

“That sounds less tedious from a posing point of view.”

“If I can take you apart and do the casting on the parts, it should be absolutely perfect. I want to do several different poses. It should be a great seller.”

“Is that why there are residuals?”

“Yes, didn't Mark explain?”

“No.”

“You'll get a $340 per hundred units produced.”

“And how many units do you typically run?”

“Probably 500 of each pose to start. If you're popular, we could be talking about tens of thousands of units.”

Ted whistled.

“On top of today's fee?”

“Yes. Mannequins are a niche business but getting them to be functional and attractive and inexpensive is difficult,” Stephen said. “Any other questions? Okay. Let's go into the workshop and get started. Time is money.”

In the workshop, there were several jars of a resin waiting next to several shallow tubs, though none were any larger than a couple feet in length.

“You can disrobe behind the curtain over there. There's a robe you can wear when you are ready. I need to explain a few things to Ted.”

Jane was soon standing on a platform in the nude. Stephen was using a laundry marker to carefully draw lines around her limbs, waist, and neck. Stephen then showed her one of his sketches so she would know how to pose. After adjusting her a few times, he told Ted to go ahead.

The next thing the mannequin knew, it could not move, which was to be expected. Ted assisted Stephen in taking the mannequin apart, including removing the wig from the head. This was new to the mannequin as its periods as a mannequin were usually only a day or two. It would put the clothes on that it would wear for the weekend before becoming a mannequin and remove them after no longer being a mannequin.

Stephen started with the mannequin's head. The top of its head was on the table as he did something with the hardware below its neck. The mannequin saw the hardware used to fasten the head to the torso set down beside it on the table. Stephen sprayed something on its face. He placed it face down in a tub of liquid the mannequin could not recognize. The mannequin could not see what was happening but something was sprayed on the back of its head. Then more liquid was carefully poured into the tub. The mannequin could tell that its head was fully submerged.

Though it could not see it, the mannequin could feel that a similar process was being performed on all of its parts. It guessed an hour passed before the parts were retrieved from the tubs starting with its head. Apparently the mold of the head took the longest to setup to accommodate the shape of the ears.

After the fastener hardware was reattached, the mannequin experienced flying through the air as just a head as it was placed back atop the rest of its body already waiting on the platform. Within a moment, from its perspective, the mannequin was once again human.

“That wasn't so bad was it?” Stephen said.

“Quite relaxing,” she said. “Why did you remove the hardware?”

“I wanted the mold to only be the mannequin's body. We will have to add the hardware to mannequin after the parts are removed from the mold. So there has to be space for the hardware. While the mold was setting, I was doing 3-D scans of the hardware since Ted's hardware isn't exactly the same as the hardware we usually use.”

“I tried to get it as close to the hardware you showed me,” Ted said. “Jane, I'm curious. Could you feel what was happened to the rest of your body?”

“You don't know?”

“I wouldn't ask if I did know.”

“Yes, I could feel when you were touching various parts of me. It was a bit muted compared to being a fully assembled mannequin. But I definitely could feel it.”

“Good to know.”

“Great. Next pose,” Stephen said.

The next pose was performed basically the same as the first one. Though the mannequin thought it spent more time in the liquid this time. When it was reassembled it noticed wrappers from a local burger joint on one of the tables. When she was restored, Jane said. “Did you save any food for the mannequin?”

“Are you hungry?”

“No, of course not. I haven't been alive all this time.”

“Didn't think so,” Ted said. “We humans did need to have lunch.”

“Humans,” Jane said, rolling her eyes.

Hours later, the last mold is cast and Stephen starts to reassemble the mannequin. Ted says. “Don't bother. I'm taking the mannequin to its boutique gig right from here. They can reassemble it once they know how they're going to dress it.”

“Does she know that?”

“Yes.”

“Okay.”

Ted goes out to his car and gets a large suitcase and loads the mannequin parts into it.

“Don't forget her clothes.”

“Right. I almost did,” Ted said and went to retrieve the clothes Jane arrived in. “It was good working with you, Stephen.”

“You, as well.” He held the mannequin's head up. “It was nice to meet you as well, Jane. I'll call you when we have samples of the mannequins ready.” He hands the head to Ted who walks out with it under his arm.
