If you haven't read any of the previous Ted's Dolls stories, you might want to start with Ted's Dolls 1: Jane. And if you haven't read Ted's Dolls 3: Gillian, you should read that part before reading this part.

Gillian was standing in Ted's bathroom, naked. Waking from the bliss of perpetual doll stimulation made her mind feel a little fuzzy. The vibrator pulsed and that shocked her back into reality. It had worked. The vibrator had sent doll her into a fugue state of infinite bliss. It was the perfect doll night. She did not have to watch as some pimply-faced freshmen jerked his load into her two minutes after he started. Instead the whole night had been one long orgasm. The vibrator pulsed again and she quickly removed it. She fumbled with her phone to stop the pulses so no one would hear the vibrator inside her purse.

As she stepped out, Ted asked, “Any problems tonight?”

“No, no, I don't think so.”

“Good. I was wondering if your renter had improved from their last rental.”

She did not know what to say.

When she got back to her dorm room, Aimee asked, “How was tonight?”

“Okay.” Gillian had noticed the better she said the night was the more Aimee would ask what happened. And as much as she liked Aimee, it felt odd telling her how much she enjoyed being fucked by random guys.

“Just okay? Too bad.”

“I didn't mind.”

“It's just I don't get it. If you don't really enjoy it, why do you do it every night?”

“Well, even a bad doll experience is still pretty good. When I said, 'Okay,' I just meant it wasn't anything special tonight.”

“I'm just worried about your grades. Do you keep up with your homework?”

“Yes, Mom.”

Aimee pouted. “Never mind.”

Over the next couple weeks she continued to use the vibrator, trying to find a pulse frequency where she did not completely zone out. But any of the times she remained fully aware as a doll, were nights that were not a “pretty good” experience. The guys who tended to rent the dolls were not dating material, in her opinion, obviously.

She eventually gave up on being aware. The fugue state of doll bliss created by the vibrator was much better than the reality of being jerked off on.

Gillian was starting to get use to finding herself standing in front of Ted's bathroom mirror as she came back to awareness. She froze in fear this time when she heard from outside the bathroom door a familiar voice say, “I hope she liked it as much as I did.”

That's was Aimee's voice, she realized. She had no idea what she was supposed to have liked or why Aimee was in Ted's dorm room. She could not remember anything that had happened after Ted sat her down on his sofa earlier. She didn't even know how much earlier. Had Aimee been her Renter? She had no idea who had rented her or what they had done with her.

Gillian had suspected that Aimee had a thing for her but she thought it was only Platonic.

“You dressed yet?” came Ted's voice from right outside the door.

“Almost. One minute,” she called back.

Quickly she put on her clothes. She was straightening her skirt when the door flung open and Aimee came in. “Wasn't that great?” She hugged Gillian tightly from the side.

“The best,” she said. “I need to finish dressing.”

“Sorry, slow poke. Fine, I'll leave.”

“No, stay,” she said looking at the crate. “I just have to get my shoes on.”

“Here. I'll help.” She took one shoe out of the crate and knelt down holding the shoe such that Gillian had to lift her leg into the shoe as Aimee wiggled it onto her foot. As Gillian pulled her leg back, Aimee's fingers trailed along the side of her leg. It felt too nice. After repeating with the other shoe, she stood up and practically skipped out of the bathroom.

Gillian followed her out.

“You two can leave now,” Ted said. “I don't let folks play with their dolls here.”

“C'mon, let's get back to our room,” Aimee said.

“In a minute, I'd like speak privately with Ted for a moment.”

“What about?”

Gillian gave Aimee a “duh” stare.

“Fine. But you will tell me.”

“Sure. Meet me out front of the dorm.”

“Don't take too long,” Aimee said and left the room.

Ted peeked out into the hall and then closed the door. “Problem?”

“Um, yeah, um...”

“Your phone beeped a few times while you were out. It said 'bullet battery low'. At first I was confused how a bullet had a battery. So I put those three words into my browser and I found a user manual for a certain sex toy.”

“Of course you know.”

“What was the frequency on the bullet?”

“Like 15 seconds.”

He laughed. “You don't remember anything from tonight do you?”

She hung her head down and muttered, “No.”

“You are a dead woman when Aimee finds out.”

“I know. What will I do?”

* * *

“So what did you say to Ted?” Aimee asked as they walked across campus.

“Um, I asked him for advice.”

“Advice? What do you need advice on?”

“Aimee, you know I love you.”

“You do?”

“Like a sister.”

Aimee's face went stark white, “Oh, no.” Tears started to form on her face.

“I'm not upset.”

“Stop. Don't say anything. Just stop.” Aimee ran off, heading in a direction away from their dorm.

“Aimee! Aimee!” Gillian burst into tears.

* * *

“You're back?” Ted said.

“She hates me,” Aimee said.

“What?” Ted said as he grabbed a box of tissues and handed them to Aimee.

“I thought we could be lovers,” she blubbered.

“And?”

“She said she thought of me as a sister,” Aimee said and blew her nose.

“Well, that does make the lovers thing a bit problematic.”

“And now I've ruined our friendship too. I should have told her my intentions before hand,” she said wiping her face. Half of her makeup seemed to have come off on the tissue.

“Probably. But what's done is done. And if she loves you like a sister, I don't think you've made her hate you.”

“She looked so upset.”

“Did she?”

“Like she wanted to say something that she knew would hurt me and she didn't want to do that.”

“If she hated you she wouldn't have hesitated to hurt you.”

Aimee blubbered something Ted could not understand.

“Why did you come to me?”

“Turn me into a doll.”

“Why?”

“So I can stop crying for one thing. Just set me on the sofa and leave me there for a day or two.”

“A day or two? Are you sure?”

“Yes, here let me go sit on the sofa,” she said as she sat down on the sofa with her hands on her lap. “Do it. And don't tell Gillian I'm here.”

“She comes here everyday. She'll see you.”

Aimee stared a Ted for a moment and said, “Can you shrink me down to like a figurine of some sort?”

“I could with a bit of prep.”

“That would be perfect. Set me down on that shelf next to the Velma Dinkley figurine. No one will know I'm here.”

“You know Velma's last name?”

She blew her nose.

“You realize you'll see her if you're here,” Ted said.

“Make it a week.”

The next night, Gillian returned from Ted's dorm late as usual. She had not brought the vibrator with her and Ted had told her he would not have made her a doll if she had it with her. The rental had actually had been a good one. The renter had put her into a fugue state twice while using doll her. She was disappointed as she had wanted it to be horrible.

She stepped into the room and immediately noticed that Aimee's bed was still untouched. She had not seen Aimee since she ran away the night before. It was a bad idea but she called Aimee's phone. It went straight to voice mail. She hung up without leaving a message.

In classes they shared the next day, she was asked about Aimee. She said she was sick and collected some homework assignments. In the afternoon it took all her effort to do some homework. She resolved to catch up on homework that night.

But after dinner time, she was in Ted's dorm. He checked the app and found the vibrator was out of range before turning her into a doll.

The doll was on the sofa. Aware. Fully aware. Bored. There were two other dolls on the sofa. The doll remembered when it use to spend its evenings alone on the sofa. The shelf, which had four crates in use, was directly across from where it sat. It noticed a pair of vinyl figurines on the shelf: Velma Dinkley on all-fours searching for her glasses and Daphne Blake in a tutu, arms folded in front of her, riding a unicycle. The doll could not remember seeing the figurines before. The doll realized it knew very little about Ted. Knowing he had Scooby Doo figurines seemed like an accomplishment.

The doll did not get rented that night. When she was restored, she checked her phone: no messages.

Gillian said to Ted, “Have you seen Aimee? She never came back to our room.”

“I haven't seen Aimee. And I suspect she's still upset with you.”

“I know.”

“Are you going to tell her?”

“I would tell her anything just to know she's safe. I'm so worried.”

“You would tell her you have no idea what happened that night as a doll because you were completely unaware.”

“I would not enjoy admitting that. It feels like I was completely ignoring her that night even though by the time she rented me I had no choice in the matter. That's what really hurts.”

“That you have no idea what she did, what she said, what she hoped you would say afterwards.”

“And that I lied about my feelings for her.”

“Why didn't you tell her that when you found out she was your renter?”

“She was so excited. How could I tell her I had no idea what had happened in the last four or five hours?”

“Because it was the truth.”

“It's easy to think like that in hindsight.”

“I suppose.”

“I should go.”

After she left, Ted picked up the Daphne figurine, “Did you hear all that?”. He set it down on the floor and twenty minutes later, Aimee was human again. As soon as she could move, she grabbed Ted and hugged him before running out of his room.
