Reading Notes:

This is the last time my descriptions will include a section for reading notes. It seems that with DA Eclipse becoming the only choice, we're no longer given as much freedom to play around with formatting and I can no longer tailor the nuances of the reading experience as I desire. I'll be posting stories here in this format anyway, but in the future I'll also include a downloadable PDF of the story formatted as I've intended for it to be read.

I've been struggling with a bad season of writers' block, and through the clouds a sudden ray of inspiration allowed me to start writing this piece. However real life unceremoniously got in the way, forcing me to stop the train halfway through the story. Instead of abandoning the project, I decided to force myself to finish it anyway, but I feel like the writing's suffered a lot from the interruption. The point where I had to stop glares at me, and I can't ignore the tone shift from that point onward. Hopefully it reads smoothly for the rest of you.

This is a small fantasy that I've had for awhile. I kept wanting to make it into a bigger thing, but because the gimmick is merely the gloves, it felt a bit over-the-top to craft something overly complicated to sell that idea. So I decided the best way to do it was to just do it. Isolating a story from any context and continuity makes it a lot easier to just sit down and write, but I worry that there isn't enough depth to it, and over time they'll all read the same. I guess we'll see how it goes.
