The seams were starting to show.
For years, this place had been my second skin—a familiar fit, snug in all the right ways. But time changes things. What once felt like home now clings in all the wrong places, stretching thin, restricting movement. I hesitate to say I've outgrown it, but I think it’s time for something new.
If you’ve followed me here on DeviantArt, you’ve probably noticed my posts have slowed down (understatement of the century, I know). There are a lot of external reasons and excuses I could make, but I think the closest to the truth I can get is... I guess the platform no longer feels like the right fit for my work.
Between algorithm changes, AI scraping concerns, and the friction of maintaining my archive here, I’ve decided to make the leap to Substack.
There’s already a collection of fresh stories waiting for you there—pieces never posted here, waiting to be unzipped and explored.
I’ll also be carefully porting my old stories over until the archive is complete. I'm going to take the time to revisit them, even the ones that now make me cringe. If they can be improved, they might be. If they deserve continuation, I'll consider it. I think they're still a part of me, and I will eventually give them the reflection and commentary they deserve.

I’ve already uploaded a number of new stories that aren’t available on DeviantArt, and I’ll be slowly porting over my older work, with new commentary reflecting on how my writing has evolved, as well as links to download PDFs showcasing the story in its intended, original formatting. My goal is to post at least once a week as I build this new space.
