Leia lost her limbs to infant tuberculosis when she was four years old. Although she remembers what it's like to have arms and legs, she can't remember how to use them and the idea of having such long gangly limbs with additionally awkward fingers and toes confounds her. She gets along great without her limbs and has learned to balance and walk short distances (with much difficulty) on the tips of her thigh remnants--it's more of a party trick than anything else.

The growth rate of her stumps over time hasn't quite matched with that of the bones inside so the flesh at the end of her reduced limbs is quite squishy and flops around when she walks, or waves hello. Additionally, recent intense breast growth has unfortunately made the use of her short arm stumps next to impossible. Lena however doesn't feel it's a disadvantage. She says the tradeoff between self-sufficiency and loving attention her breasts have gifted her has been more than worth it.

Leia is grateful for her life, however, and says she would not trade it for anything. She both craves and loves the attention she gets from others. Her alluring charisma and helplessness have gained her several close relationships in her life with people who protect her, care for her, and love her.
