Alannah woozily woke up, and tried to shake her head.
To her horror, she found she couldn't move at all.
She tried to call out, but all she could manage was a quiet whisper.
A door opened, and Shan walked into the room.
"What's going on? Why can't I move? What...?"
"Sshh...", said Shan, gently resting her hand on Alannah's shoulder. "You're only just out of surgery, you really should be resting..."
"Surgery! There's nothing wrong with me. I was just walking home from work..."
