Chynna fought and struggled to get free.

She’d been left on her own, as far as visitors went, for days; her mother was only coming out very occasionally to feed her, and she hadn’t seen Alice at all…

Most of her time was spent pulling on her chain, trying to break it, or at least tear it away from her kennel. She couldn’t stay like that for the rest of her life!

Her mother came out one morning to feed her, just as the fitting attached to her kennel pulled away from the wall…

Moving surprisingly quickly on all fours, Chynna went barrelling up the garden and bowled her mother over. She then sat on her chest, glaring at her.

“Get off of me, you stupid, useless bitch!”, her mother cried. “What have you done to your kennel? You’ve pulled the ring out of the wall. I’ll have to get that repaired!”

Chynna just thumped her with a foreleg, then mmmphed that she wanted out of the suit.

“I told you, stupid; that suit is permanent. There’s no way of undoing it.”

Chynna just whacked her again.

Alice had seen from the back window what was going on. She came rushing down the garden and kicked Chynna in the side as hard as she could.

“Get off her! You lost the right to be treated as a human being when you killed my fiancée.”

She picked Chynna up in her suit and carried her back to her kennel.

“You’ve not shown one bit of remorse! All you’ve done is complain about the way you’re now being treated. This is your life now, and you can damn well get used to it!”

Tears ran down Chynna’s cheeks.

Alice threw her into her kennel. Chynna landed inside with a thump.

Alice then pressed a button by the door of the kennel. A set of bars slid across and locked into place.

“When you start taking responsibility for what you’ve done, I’ll think about unlocking the door.”, Alice said. “Seeing as you are quite happy to behave like a criminal, you’ll get treated like one.

“Mmmm! Mmmm!” Chynna wailed, bashing against the bars…

Chynna had sprayed her food all over the garden when she knocked her mother over, so she got nothing that day. When another day then went by without food or water, she realised how much trouble she was in…

She moaned and wailed as loudly as she could from behind her bars.

No-one came.

When it seemed that she was going to be a third day without food or water, she got really desperate. Were they just going to leave her in her kennel to die…?

She just weakly stared out from behind the bars as her mother eventually came to feed her…

Her mother just unlocked the door, then yanked her out by her chain.

She then opened the muzzle on Chynna’s suit, so she could eat and drink.

Chynna just lay there. She was too weak to feed herself.

Her mother just kicked her.

“Come on, you waste of space”, she said. “I haven’t got all night. Eat your supper.”

“I… can’t…”, Chynna croaked. “Too weak…”

“Well, that’s your problem”, her mother said. “Now you know what it’s like when people don’t give a damn what you think…”

“Please…”

“Why the hell should I? You don’t give a fuck about anyone. Alice nearly committed suicide herself after what you did. Still, you’re no daughter of mine anymore, you’re just an animal. A bitch.”

“I’m sorry…”

“It’s way too late for that. Still, if you’re not going to eat anything, you can go back in your kennel.”

Her mother went to fasten Chynna’s muzzle back up.

“Mum… please… I’m sorry…! I won’t last… another night…!”

“Pity”, her mum said. “I was enjoying torturing you, after what you did.”

Chynna’s eyes went wide as her mother went to refasten the muzzle and push her back into the kennel.

Chynna had finally realised how her choices had affected others; she was finally sorry about Alice’s fiancée; she was sorry about everything.

“Perhaps it’s better if I die…”, she said, quietly. “At least I won’t ruin everyone else’s lives…”

Her mother heard her, even though she said it so quietly.

“You really are sorry, aren’t you?”, she said. Chynna nodded, weakly.

“Alice, help me!”, her mother yelled. “It’s happened!”

Alice came rushing down the garden. The pair then gave Chynna food and water.

Chynna’s mother then pressed a concealed button on Chynna’s bitchsuit. The locks sprang open. The collar fell off as well.

“That was all we wanted”, her mother said. “For you to accept what you had done was wrong. Whether you were under the influence of drugs or not, you’ve still got to accept responsibility. Now you have, you can come back into the house…”

Alice and her mother peeled off the bitchsuit and untaped Chynna’s limbs. They then carried her back to the house…

Chynna never did drugs again. Indeed, she became a very strong advocate against them. She and Alice are firm friends again, now, as well; despite everything they are fiercely protective of each other, and their mother.

Once realisation hit Chynna, she understood exactly why people did what they did. It took a near death experience for her to bring everything home to her. It did her a lot of good, but she says she can’t recommend the experience to anyone…!
