The three boarded the train and set off back to the house. Roxy, however, was concerned; after that initial swat on the behind from Janet, she’d gone very quiet. Even Rowan had noticed.

“Mistress; are you ok…?”, Roxy asked, hesitantly.

Janet said nothing. However, her eyes had gone wide, and she seemed to be twitching, almost as if she was having a fit of some kind…

“Damn!”, cried Rowan. “Help me with her; she’s having a seizure…!”

Roxy and Rowan helped Janet to lie down, and they made her comfortable. By now, even the train had picked up something was wrong; they were racing down the track, as the train tried to get them back to the house as quickly as possible.

The pair quickly exited the train as it arrived back, carrying Janet between them. They took her straight to her bedroom and laid her out on the bed.

“Do we need a doctor?”, asked Roxy.

“No”, said Rowan, “I know what it is, and there’s nothing a doctor can do. Her body is rejecting the new personality and the control. I’ve seen it once before; now, if only the collar does what it’s supposed to…”

“What do you mean?”, asked Roxy, looking on anxiously.

“If the collar detects the rejection is life threatening, it should release. After all, a dead slave, especially one of Janet’s status, is no use to the house. It would rather have a live, if maybe unwilling, participant to a dead body to deal with. Ah, yes, there we go…!”

There had been a click as the collar round Janet’s neck unlocked, and it fell free.

Rowan and Roxy quickly stripped off Janet’s clothes and the bodysuit and soon, a normal-looking Janet was lying on the bed.

“It won’t try again”, said Rowan. “It will find other means of controlling Janet. After all, even though she’s our Mistress, the house is the Master…”

With a groan, Janet sat up on the bed. She looked at Rowan. When she looked at Roxy, the memories of what she’d done at the stables came flooding back. She started wailing…

“Those poor women! I had their arms taken off…!”

She sobbed hysterically. Janet was back in control, but she almost wished she wasn’t…

Roxy couldn’t help it. She got on the bed with her and hugged her.

“How am I supposed to live with myself now…?”, she asked, quietly.

“You weren’t yourself”, said Roxy, trying to comfort her.

“There is one thing I did that I don’t regret at all”, she said, kissing Roxy…

Roxy managed to cheer Janet up. She and Rowan both explained that Janet was just part of a narrative, now.

“You may be mistress of this house, but you’ll be surprised at how little control you actually have”, Rowan said. “Some things have been going on here for years, even before your aunt took the place over. She was just as helpless as you now are.”

Somehow, that made Janet feel better, knowing her aunt wasn’t as depraved as she had thought.

“Unlike you, however, your aunt chose to embrace it. That’s how come Terri ended up as a teddy bear. She was feeling particularly vindictive that day, and the house finds ways to make urges turn into reality. Even Sheena found that out the hard way…”

“Sheena?”, asked Janet.

“Yes. She was a maid here. One of your aunt’s favourites. Then she scalded her in the bath…”

“Let’s just say you need to visit the water garden sometime…”

“Ok. No time like the present!”, said Janet, now feeling herself again. She got up and got dressed, walking past Roxy to the wardrobe completely naked.

Roxy went all hot under the collar…!

“Are you all right, Roxy?”, Janet asked, with a cheeky smile.

“Just the latex, ma’am”, she said. “It’s making it rather warm in here…!”

“Come on, you two”, said Janet, heading for the train…

Janet still stroked the train; this time, however, she thanked it for rushing them back to the house earlier.

The woman in the train was shocked. She’d never been complimented before!

“Water Garden, please”, said Janet, pressing the appropriate button.

With a purr, the train set off. It was really liking the new mistress…

The train went past the gym and the stables. It then seemed to be turning back toward the house…

“The water garden is on the opposite side of the main garden to the gym”, Rowan explained.

Shortly, the train pulled in and stopped at a station. This one, however, looked dingy and tatty, almost disused.

“People don’t really come here anymore”, said Rowan. “You’ll see why soon…”

With trepidation, Janet got off, Rowan and Roxy either side of her.

Roxy was really scared, and she hugged Janet’s arm, shivering.

Rowan beckoned them forward.

“You need to see this…”, she said.

The whole garden looked derelict. Overgrown, mould and mildew everywhere.

“Why on earth should I see this?”, Janet asked. “It’s disgusting!”

“Not this… this…” said Rowan, pointing.

There was a fountain in the middle of the garden. Despite all the devastation around it, it was a vision in marble. A woman, kneeling, in a position of supplication, arms outstretched. Water was slowly spraying from her mouth, running down the statue itself.

The veined white marble was exquisite. The detail in the woman was as well; Janet could swear that she could see every detail of her. She was examining the woman’s face as she blinked…

Janet jumped back in shock. It shouldn’t have surprised her, considering the things that she’d already seen, but it still did.

“She’s alive in there!”

“Of course,”, said Rowan. “Janet, meet Sheena.”

“There must be some way to get her out of there!”

“I’m sorry, it’s not possible. The marble is partly organic; it’s replaced the top layers of her skin, then set. We used a flesh-coloured version to make dummies for your upper wardrobe. There’s about six women sealed in there…”

Janet gasped with shock at the matter-of-fact way that Rowan told her this.

Janet cried as she tried to hug Sheena.

“I’m so sorry…”, she cried.

Somehow, Sheena seemed to realise. She managed to smile with her eyes, which were the only part of her body that she could still move. Everything else was set solid by the marble.

“If nothing else, can we get this garden tidied?”, she asked. “After all, you all keep telling me that you want to be used. How can Sheena be properly used and seen if the place is like this? The same goes for the station. Tidy it up!”

Furious, Janet stomped off back to the train, quickly followed by Roxy and Rowan.

“I can’t do this! I can’t be what this place needs!”, she wailed. “Why did you have to show me Sheena?”

“Your gesture of kindness towards her will help her no end”, said Rowan. “Stop knocking yourself. Besides, once the place is tidied up, you’ll find it’s a very relaxing place to be…”

“Only if you completely ignore what’s in the statue, and I won’t do that!”, said Janet. “I care about all of you too much to disrespect any of you.”

“That includes you, train”, she said, patting the dashboard…
