Waking up in a strange bedroom was a shock.
Waking up wearing a school pinafore dress and white blouse was even more of a shock. I was an nineteen-year-old boy…
I’d been out celebrating with my mates at the local bar; Andy had just got the job he’d been after for ages. We were just thinking about packing up when this cute redhead had started really hitting on me…
“Haven’t seen you round here before”, she said. “I’m sure I’d have noticed…”
Andy signalled to me, ‘go for it’, and he and the others drifted off. I ended up going back to her flat…
That was the last thing I remembered. Now where was I, and what the hell was going on…?
I heard noises outside the room, and the door opened. To my amazement, there was two people there, a WPC and the redhead.
“See, the room’s empty”, she said. “I just use it for storage, occasionally.”
“Hey! I’m here!”, I yelled. “It’s not empty!”
They completely ignored me, went out and shut the door. How the heck hadn’t they seen me?
I walked forward, trying to get to the door. Something stopped me short…
The door wasn’t directly into the room; it opened into a short corridor, that led into the room. Something at my end of the corridor was blocking me. It seemed to be a thick sheet of something, almost completely inflexible and transparent from my side, at least. Judging by the other people’s reaction, it must look different to them.
Walking over to the window, I found the same material around the windows. I could see out but, probably, no-one could see in…
I went back and sat on the bed, after a quick look in the cupboards. All the clothes were for a fourteen-year-old girl, still at school. I then caught sight of myself in the dressing table mirror.
A young girl stared back at me. Also a redhead, with glasses. The uniform seemed to fit me perfectly, and there were definitely curves…
I undid the top buttons of the blouse. Breasts met my gaze, tucked neatly under a bra. A quick prod showed that they were definitely real. Shivering, I did the blouse back up. How had this happened? How come I was now definitely a girl?
There was a noise at the door again, and the redhead came in on her own. She pressed her hand against the wall in a certain way, and a transparent door slid open, letting her walk in. The panel then slid shut behind her.
“Hi, Carla!”, she said. “Sorry about that, sis, didn’t mean to disturb you. You were still sleeping when I left you. How are you feeling?”
“How the fuck do you think!?”, I exploded. “One moment we’re getting to know each other at a bar, and I come back to your flat, the next I wake up here as the opposite sex. What the hell have you done to me?”
“You said you’d do anything for me”, the redhead said. “Absolutely anything. I thought you were really cute; trouble is, I’m a lesbian, and what I really wanted was a girlfriend. Not for sex, really, but as a companion. So, I decided to take you literally. You’re now my younger sister, Carla. I hope you like the hair; it’s still yours, I just dyed and styled it. It was one of the things about you I really liked, as well as the fact you’re smaller than me.”
She walked over to me and, before I could stop her, kissed me.
“Oh, my names Cassie, by the way. Welcome home.”
“You can’t just keep me here like this!”, I cried.
“Oh, I can”, she said. “As far as your friends are concerned, Carl Andrews has just been killed in a car crash; his bike went off of the road, crashed into trees and exploded. There’s a few bits of DNA at the scene; just enough to identify you. All your friends saw you drinking; it’s already been put down as one more instance of a drunk driver killing themselves.”
“Oh, just in case you get any ideas about escaping”, Cassie said, “there’s a chip embedded in the back of your head. It completely blocks you from using your original name, or any reference to you as male. If anybody calls to you as ‘Carla’, you will answer them, you also have some implanted fake memories that have replaced your childhood ones. I’m very good with electronics and computers; I’ve had government contracts in the past doing this sort of work. I decided it was high time to take something for myself, and that something is you.”
I just wailed and sank back on the bed. Trouble was, despite everything she had done, I still fancied her. Pathetic, isn’t it…?
That was why, when she sat down next to me and rested a hand on my shoulder, I kissed her…
Cassie stared at me, surprised.
“Wow. I didn’t expect that…!”
“It’s what you wanted, isn’t it?”
“Well, yeah. But…”
“But nothing. This is obviously what you’ve been turning me into, you maniac. The girlfriend you’ve always wanted but never found. Well, now you’ve got it.”
“But… how do you feel about me?”
“Doesn’t matter, does it? You’re in charge.”
“Don’t be like that…”
To my amazement, there were tears in Cassie’s eyes.
“I didn’t want to hurt you! I just took what you said to me a little too literally. You said you’d do absolutely anything for me, and this is what I wanted you to do. Be my girlfriend.”
“Oh, just shut up and kiss me, already…”
