Sandy was still worried about Megan…

It had been a couple of weeks since she started ‘wearing’ her new uniform. She had lost some weight, but the doctor had said it wasn’t enough. She was at her wits end.

Stacey, desperate to get back into Shan’s good books, had suggested a viable solution, that Shan and Sandy were both really interested in…

Stacey had found a latex exercise outfit, for Megan to sweat some of her weight off. There were, however, a few ‘additions’ that she thought might help…

Like most joggers, Stacey had whipped up a plastic strap on pouch for Megan’s arm. In this was a mobile phone, which Megan didn’t know the PIN code to. The phone was coupled by Bluetooth to a collar round Megan’s neck.

A low bleep meant turn left. A high bleep meant turn right. A double bleep meant rest break of five minutes, and the next double bleep after that meant get moving again. In an emergency, a triple bleep meant abort exercise and head straight home.

If Megan stopped any time except for a rest break, the collar would shock her. If she tried to go into a shop, the collar would shock her. If she stopped to talk to friends… well, you get the idea. The phone would monitor her health; if she was in any physical problems, the phone would double bleep. If she was still having problems at the end of that, it would triple bleep and send her home.

Sandy was explained all of this, and she explained it all to Megan as she fastened the squirming girl into the outfit. Giving her a good smack on the backside, Sandy told her to get going and pushed her out of the door.

Megan couldn’t believe mum could be so mean! At the same time, she had really taken what the doctor had said to heart, and did realise she was trying to help, but why did it have to hurt so much…!

Megan was already panting when she got to the end of the road, and the phone signalled a rest break. She had just had the second double bleep when a couple of her friends came up to her. Megan had to ignore them and jog off…

Cindy ran alongside her.

“You’re really serious about losing weight, aren’t you?”, she said.

Megan nodded, panting, but she kept going.

“Can’t stop, have to finish my route”, she said. “Hopefully, I’ll see you later, at college.”

Cindy went back to her friends, with a wave. What Megan didn’t know was her trying to lose weight was getting a lot of respect from her friends and some of the staff, especially the ones that knew how Megan was suffering…!

There was a double bleep. Megan stopped, completely out of breath. The phone, detecting that, decided that she had done enough for one day and generated a triple bleep. Megan immediately headed home.

Sandy was waiting for her, pleased with her first effort. She had monitored Megan’s progress using her phone, which was tied into the one on Megan’s arm. She was also very pleased with the way she had dealt with Cindy.

“There’s hope for you yet”, she said, pleased…
