Carrie, who had been on ‘work experience’ as a carer slowly awoke...

She sat up tried to rub her eyes, then looked down at herself...

She screamed once as she saw what she was wearing and tugged frantically at the chains that held her. She was wearing a completely transparent PVC version of her carers uniform, and some kind of padded boots, also clear. Her hands were fastened into transparent ‘globe’ mittens.

What really scared her was the padlocks swinging from the straps round her arms, legs and body, joining the chains. She struggled to get free and then caught sight of her reflection in a mirror, perched on a nearby dressing table.

She screamed again as she saw the transparent helmet that she was wearing, as well as the thick leather collar round her neck held shut with a padlock, with a metal tag swinging from it.

Looking around through tear filled eyes, she realised she was in someone’s bedroom, sitting on a bed. She also saw that the door was open...

Listening, she heard a knock at the front door. She then heard voices. Two police officers had called, asking about a missing girl...

“Up here, I’m up here!”, she shouted. “Help me, please!”

She carried on shouting, so much that she was steaming up her helmet with the effort.

To her amazement, the officers thanked the woman downstairs for her help, then they left. Sobbing, she heard the door being shut, and the car doors, then the car driving away...

Why hadn’t they heard her cries for help?

Shortly, a woman came through the door.

Carrie was pounding the bed with her mittened hands, but because the mittens were padded she made hardly any noise. The same was true for her boots...

The woman sat down next to her, and slowly ran her hand down Carries’ dress, fondling her breast.

“What’s the matter, little one?”, she asked. “Don’t you like your new home?”

“Let me go!”, shouted Carrie. “I want to go home! Help!”

“You can shout as much as you like”, the woman said. “No one can hear you. Your hood allows people to talk to you but blocks any noise you make. It’s one way...”

Smiling, she stood up and started to walk out of the room. Carrie got up and tried to follow, but the chain attached to her collar was fastened to a ring bolted to the wall.

Carrie collapsed in a heap, sobbing...

---------------------------------------------

A few days later, the woman came back into the room.

Carrie was thirsty, hungry, scared and tired. She’d been sealed in her suit for three days, and she was beginning to smell, both from the sweat and the fact that she had wet herself a few times. Most of the urine had gone down the tube into the waste bottle, but the smell was travelling back up the tube and filling the suit.

Carrie twitched as she was given an injection, and slumped unconscious.

“Time to get you ready...”, the woman said...

The unconscious Carrie was bathed and cleaned carefully.

Using the techniques learnt at the care home, Carrie was silenced, and all her hair was removed. The woman then started sorting out everything for Carrie’s new ‘life’...

Carrie slowly awoke.

She felt a lot better than she had, and a lot cleaner. However, something felt very wrong...

She looked down at herself. She was wearing a pearlescent white cape, that covered her from neck to foot, and it had a pixie hood on top.

She could feel her hands under the cape, but something tight was around her wrists, so she knew she was still chained. It also felt like she was wearing gloves...

Carrie suddenly realised that she was no longer wearing the helmet, and she tried to cry out. Nothing happened, except for a quiet hiss...!

“You look beautiful...”, the woman said, coming back into the room. “Anyway, we’d better get going. We don’t want to be late...”

Carrie found herself walking alongside the mystery woman, down the stairs and out of the door.

Carrie was quickly helped into the passenger seat of the woman’s car, and the seatbelt was locked shut and the passenger door quickly closed.

Carrie tried to climb back out as the woman got into the car, but she was locked in. She struggled hard...

“Don’t do that, dear, you’ll make your cape untidy”, said the woman. “And I worked so hard to get you ready...”

Putting the car into gear, she drove off...

After a short drive, the car pulled up and parked outside a church.

The woman got out and crossed round to the passenger door. She unlocked it and reached in and unlocked Carrie’s belt. She then pulled Carrie from the car.

“Hurry up, you’ll be late...” she said.

Just before the pair went in to the church, the woman started unfastening Carrie’s cape.

“Better get you ready”, she said.

Carrie tried to gasp as the woman opened the cape...

She was wearing a wedding dress, with matching opera gloves. There was a wide belt around the dress, of a similar design to a wedding cake band, and her wrists were fastened to this with what looked like ribbon bows (but the fasteners were infinitely stronger; Carrie had been trying to get her hands free since the cape came off, with no effect at all).

The woman fitted Carrie with a veil and pinned it on with a metal tiara. Then came the most frightening part...

Even though Carrie couldn’t talk any more, the woman showed her a decorated metal muzzle. This would be a panel that covered her mouth completely and locked shut under her chin. The straps going up fastened onto the tiara, and two more straps locked behind her head. Carrie tried to pull away, but the woman expertly fastened the muzzle on, and locked it shut.

Cassie was now in real pain as the muzzle very tightly clamped her mouth shut and squashed her lips flat against her face.

Making sure everything was secure, the woman then led Carrie down the aisle...
