People had started ordering more of the 'servant robots' that Shan and her team had been demonstrating around town.

The problem, however, was that the original demonstration version had only been a 'prop', operated by one of the college girls...

After a lot of thought, and seeing how far the computer brain project was lagging behind, the decision was taken to permanently seal one of the college girls inside a metal case, sealing her mouth completely shut and arranging for a pack on her back to convert the ‘battery modules’ into food and water, whilst processing any waste products.

The girl would be controlled by electrodes implanted in her breasts, vagina, and head.

Also, if she caused any trouble, Shan would just stop supplying the ‘batteries’…

The girl was chosen, dragged into the medical bay, and strapped face down on the metal table.

She screamed once, then passed out, as her metal suit was screwed on to her…

When she next awoke, she was standing upright in the corner of the room.

When she tried to move, she was given a shock, and Shan’s voice told her to keep still.

She gradually learnt what she could and couldn’t do. When she was in ‘standby mode’ i.e. not serving anyone, the eyelids of her helmet sealed shut, locking her into darkness.

At one point, she was allowed to move for a short period. Her metal hands immediately flew to her head, and she started frantically scratching at the blank place where her mouth should have been, trying to find it, sobbing as she did so (the tears were captured by special lenses and tubes, so no-one was ever aware she was crying).

Shan carried on programming the girl, and eventually she gave up all hope of being normal again. She was then shipped to her new owners…

Six other girls were given the same treatment as the first. All of them followed their owner’s instructions to the letter. One even ended working in the same house as her own family…
