Out And About
Near the end of the second month of Leah pretending, Sara came into Leah's room to begin her morning routine. They had again discussed Leah staying in even longer and she was leaning towards it.
“So, what do you think?” Sara asked as she began Leah's morning routine. “Do you want to stay in another month?”
“Yes, I … do,” Leah replied as she felt Sara's gloved finger insert her suppository into her rectum. “It's so … easy and comfortable … to be in my … iron lung. For a while … now I haven’t just been … breathing in sync with … my ventilators but … allowing them, in … fact needing them, to do… almost all of the work … of breathing for … me. I’m sure I could no … longer draw enough breath … on my own and… have truly become ventilator… dependent. I love how … thin and frail … my limbs look because … my muscles are actually atrophying… since I haven't moved … voluntarily for nearly… two months. My hands are even beginning … atrophy and take on the … curled look of a quadriplegic. I … enjoy having you take … complete care of feeding, exercising … and bathing me. I love… being incontinent and … wearing diapers. I love that… I haven’t consciously urinated … let alone even felt the urge … since we started. I don't … even mind having my bowels… manually evacuated any … more. Honestly I’m not sure I … remember what the urge … to urinate or defecate on my own… even feels like and I’m not sure … if I remember how to or even if my… body would respond if I … tried. I love how crippled I am… becoming.
“Excellent,” said Sara. “ “In that case I have a surprise for you, but you'll have to wait until tomorrow!” Leah was excited as she couldn't imagine what it might be.
The next day, after Leah's morning routine, Sara left and returned with Leah's surprise. It was a motorized wheelchair.
“Surprise!” sang Sara, grinning. “I think it's time we stop being confined to the house. There is a brand new van in the driveway equipped with a lift! Let's go shopping!”
“Oh wow,” said Leah. “I'm … not sure I want to … go out in public like … this.”
“Come on,” Sara replied. “It'll be fun.” Leah was apprehensive, but decided to do it for Sara.
“All right,” Leah agreed. “Let's… go.”
“Excellent!” Sara exclaimed. She flipped the switch and removed Leah from her iron lung. She unstrapped her, though truthfully the straps hadn't really been needed for awhile. While Leah lay on the bed, Sara put a new bra and a cute top on her. Out of her iron lung and with no cuirass shell on her diaphragm muscles had atrophied so much Leah could manage no more than a slight wheeze when she tried to inhale. Thankfully Sara was fast and quickly finished putting Leah's top on. Her new motorized wheelchair had a battery powered ventilator attached to it like her transfer wheelchair. Sara fit the cuirass shell to Leah’s chest and turned it on. Air rushed into Leah's lungs. She changed Leah's diaper and then added a cute skirt and thigh highs to the ensemble. Thigh highs instead of pantyhose would make it easier to change Leah’s diaper when they out and about should the need arise. Sara used the lift to move Leah to the wheelchair, strapped her in and then slipped Leah's feet into a cute pair of heels and for the first time in two months Leah was dressed.
Sara explained that the wheelchair was controlled with her tongue similar to her iPad. Leah hesitantly gave it a try, and the wheelchair moved forward a bit. After a bit of experimenting, she began to get the hang of the controls. She caught a glimpse of herself in the mirrored closet doors and marveled at what she saw; an attractive, young woman who, to all appearances, was a complete quadriplegic and whose thin, frail body was strapped securely into a motorized wheelchair; her chest covered by the shell of her cuirass ventilator and her diaper slightly visible up her skirt. Sara came up and stood behind her.
“Thank you,” Leah said. “When … you brought in my surprise … I was apprehensive, but … after seeing myself like this, I … love it.”
“I'm glad you like it my dear,” Sara replied, smiling. “Well, how about we go do a bit of shopping?” With a bit of difficulty, Leah maneuvered her wheelchair out of her bedroom, it was the first time she had left it in two months. She guided it out the front door and down the new ramp that Sara had had installed. There, sitting in the driveway was their new lift-equipped van. Sara opened the side door and lowered the lift. Leah drove the wheelchair onto the lift and Sara strapped it down. Sara hit the switch and the lift rose up and into the van and Leah was secure in her wheelchair in the back of the van.
Sara got in the front and drove them to the mall. This was the first time Leah had been out in public since she had entered her iron lung two months ago. They shopped for several hours and Leah caught a few pitying looks cast her way when people thought she wasn't looking. She found it exciting; little did they know that she was just pretending to be completely helpless and dependent on Sara and her ventilator and that she enjoyed being like this. After a quick bite to eat in the food court, Sara drove them home. When they arrived home they went through the usual evening routine and Leah fell asleep to the comforting whoosh of her iron lung. They added in occasional outings to their routine now and Leah decided she liked pretending in public. It was thrilling to have people believe that she was actually a ventilator dependent quadriplegic.
