"Good evening," the Head of the After School Magic Club announced from the podium above her audience. "As you are all aware, I am the head of the Club, and the Master of Ceremonies for this invitational event." She smiled at the applause from her audience. "Now, before we begin, I have to remind you all of the rules. First, by entering, you grant consent. This is a blanket thing, and you refuse the right to enforce your ability to reject any advances made on you. Please do not abuse this privilege. This means that you may find yourself the target of an unwanted advance, please consider just going with it. There will be no long term consequences, unless I have to address you directly."

She waved one hand to the side of the lobby. "Over here we have our restoration chambers," she indicated the dozen coffins against the wall. "If you feel that you are in a position where you wish to start fresh, simply will it, and you will be restored to the condition you were in when you entered in one of the available coffins, whereupon you may emerge and return to the party."

"Identity is also secured. Only those whom you wish to identify you will be able to do so. You are all strangers here, so there is no need to worry about what someone might think about you or your choices while at this event. This is standard for all my Halloween events, so it is a well established part of the trade."

"If you enter into a room, and there are instructions, do follow them. They are there for your enjoyment. Safety... not assured."

"Now, I have to inform you all that yes, there has been a change in the name. Apparently, people aren't scared going into this any more, so I can no longer call this a Horror show. Instead, it is now a Macabre show, to emphasize that part of the event." She sighed. "Legalities and Technicalities."

"Again, you are all here to enjoy yourselves as much as you want, and you are free to leave at any time. However, once you leave, you cannot return. At least, for this year," she winked under her half-face mask.

"As always, the members of my Club will be available to run events, to assist you in any way, or to do their own thing. Public announcements will be made of any special occasions, so do listen out for them. Other than that, you will find every tool in this building to be of use to you, as well as everyone else."

She paused for a moment, as though something crossed her mind. "Ah, yes. One more change for this year with the name updating as well. You were all given tags when you entered. They can switch between Green and Red. Have them visible at all times, they will clip onto anything. If you display Green, then that means that you are not interested in the more grotesque offerings. If you display Red, you are interested. A person who is, say, sawn in half while Green will not have their guts spill out, instead having a coat of skin or some other thing in place to keep them intact. A person with the Red tag on display who does the same thing will naturally be truly divided. You may switch at any time, and no one can coerce you into forcing a change."

She stepped back. "Now, normally I would start off with a demonstration of what we offer," she flicked her hair back over one ear, showing off the red tag, "but I think instead I can trust you all. Instead, I will play a little game. I will dismember myself, and the members of my club will scatter my pieces about the event. The first person to find all my parts will be rewarded," she promised with a flourish.

The Club Head bowed, and then vanished into a pillar of smoke. "Have fun!" her voice carried away into the depths of the Macabre house, and the partygoers began to scatter.
