It was a pleasantly sunny day in Westfield. The residents didn't think anything of it since the town had such a steady weather pattern that, in June, days like this were simply taken for granted. But to Mariah, the sun's warm light shining off of her red hair, balanced by the light breeze brushing across her smooth skin made her feel alive. It was certainly something that took her thoughts away from her red SUV being refueled by a money-hungry pump a few yards behind her.
Nice days like this weren't common back at Blackhouser College, or if they were, they all happened while she was in her dorm room or a classroom. Blackhouser was the main college in a city about four hours north of Westfield, and Mariah was interested in the wide range of business classes and degrees the college offered. She stayed there for four years taking the necessary courses she'd need to work as a business secretary, and she spent half a year applying and working for those kinds of jobs.
On the downside, she never developed much of a social life outside of the classroom and eventually, the office. Whenever she'd feel a bit lonely, she'd delve herself deeper into her work. Her employers just saw this as her going the extra mile, and their compliments inadvertently validated Mariah's reasons for not being very social.
However, homesickness wasn't nearly as easily ignorable. Time and money constraints kept Mariah from visiting her old friends and family, but she tried her best to stay in contact. That turned out to not be enough for Mariah, though.
Starting a month ago, Mariah consistently found herself thinking about her life back in Westfield while lying in bed, which was also something that seeped into her dreams. After much deliberation, Mariah decided to move back home. For the past two weeks, Mariah had been going through all of the pre-moving stresses (she didn't have to deal with a moving van, though; all the stuff in her dorm was either pawned off or stuffed into her SUV), but now that she was finally in Westfield, she could finally relax.
When her car finished filling up, Mariah paid for the gas and drove off. At a red light, Mariah pulled out her phone, preparing to call her mom and surprise her with the good news. But before she could tap her mom's name, the name right above it caught her eye: Maddie.
"Oh, yeah.” Mariah mumbled as the memories came back to her. She met Maddie in 10th grade. Although they had algebra class together, they didn't really talk much until the theatre students performed a play in front of the entire school. About a quarter into the play, Mariah recognized that the leading lady was played by “that girl from algebra class”!
After that, most of their conversations at that point consisted of Mariah asking Maddie about acting/theatre, and Maddie asking Mariah about algebra homework. But they didn't really become friends until Mariah joined the theatre crew as the props' understudy. Maddie was in this play as well, and their friendship grew and lasted for the rest of high school.
Mariah kind of felt bad for not contacting her sooner, they had maybe hung out for lunch a few times in the freshman year, but since they went to different colleges it got harder to make time. Mariah looked up from her phone for a moment to check the traffic lights, which turned green almost instantly. Looking at her phone one last time, Mariah quickly tapped Maddie's name, followed by the call button. She waited out the dial-tone until she heard Maddie's voice: "Hello?"
"Hey, Maddie, how're you doing?" Mariah asked.
"Um, I'm sorry, who is this?"
"Mariah Kingsley."
"Oh! Hi Mariah! How's it going? It's been forever!! Are you still in that college up north?"
"I'm doing well." Mariah said, grinning at Maddie's joyful tone. "I'm not at Blackhouser anymore, I graduated! I'm moving somewhere else."
"So where tooo this time?"
"Oh, it's a little town. I don't think you've heard of it."
"Aw, come on, tell me!" Maddie insisted.
"It's this tiny place called Westfield."
"Wes-OMYGOD!!" Maddie yelled loud enough that, even with the phone away from her ear, Mariah could still hear Maddie. "YOU'RE MOOOVING HERE?!!"
"Yes," Mariah chuckled. "and I was wondering if I could stop by and say hello. You're home, right?"
"Yep! Let me give you my address! It's 355-!"
"I'm sorry, I'm driving right now, can you text me your address?" Mariah interrupted.
"Sure! See you soooon!"
A minute later, Mariah got a text from Maddie with her address. Upon entering the address into her phone's GPS, Mariah found out that she was actually closer to Maddie's house than her parents'.
"I'll just be there for a bit." Mariah reasoned as she drove to Maddie's house. A short while later, Mariah pulled up to a white, single-story house and knocked on the door. After a bit of waiting, Maddie opened the door, and her eyes lit up at the sight of her old friend. Mariah's eyes, on the other hand, were wide as saucers.
"It's so good to see you!!" Maddie squealed, coming in for a hug. Suddenly, Mariah felt the ground pulled out from under her as her body was pulled upwards which sent her face first into Maddie's chest which felt like big, warm pillows.
Mariah lifted her head to kindly ask Maddie to let her go but froze for a moment. Maddie's face was very pale with some dark --almost black-- splotches here and there, especially around one of her eyes. Her lips were big and full, and her nose was…a different shape, but she couldn’t exactly tell how.
"It's good to see you, too, Mads. Can you please let me down now?"
"Sure, sorry." Maddie sheepishly apologized. Once on her feet again, Mariah stepped back and took in Maddie's figure. "So what's been going on with you?" Maddie was never skinny, and she was always followed around by a big butt. But now she definitely looked like what some might describe as a “BBW’… or a fertility idol. Maddie thought to herself.
"Nothing much, but... geez..." Mariah mumbled, as things were dawning on her about Maddie's appearance. Those big "pillows" she fell into were Maddie's massive breasts, each one had to be bigger than her head. The rest of Maddie's skin was pale like her face, except for a doughy belly that had looked flushed pink, set in contrast to her oversized black shirt. And there were these two pink things barely sticking out of from the hem of her shirt, were they attached to her belly? Oh god, was Maddie a...?
"Did you say something?" Maddie asked, either oblivious or unperturbed by Mariah's staring.
"What? Oh, I just said ‘nothing much' but what about you? You're um…” Mariah wanted to say 'a cow,' but since that would sound so blatantly rude, she opted for something a bit nicer. “…different."
"Yeah, I’ve changed a bit.” Maddie remarked, as if she had gotten her hair dyed a different color. Well, it was blue. "Say, how about we go inside? I can make you some cocoa." Some might call her fat, but some might also be surprised that Maddie enjoys her physique. Her muscles were less obvious, now hiding deep in her soft body. She’s no more or less physically fit now, but less visibly toned than she was before— much softer and plump. Her thick, yet strong-looking thighs tapered from her wide hips to toned, thick calves, ending in totally normal human feet.
"Uh, sure." Mariah said, following Maddie inside. What the hell was going on?
