Intro - The Mysterious World of Gemma Sparks
“That one right there!” a slender female finger reached up pointing into the cool night sky at a distant star.
“Aw! No Fair! That’s the 3rd one in a row! You have to be cheating... are you reading my mind? Oh snap, tell me you can’t read my mind!” Rich looked deep into Gemma’s big beautiful blue eyes, a worried grin plastered across his face.
“Relax, I know you always let me win.” Gemma giggled, her dusty blonde hair fluttering in the wind. Mockingly she lowered her voice to impersonate Rich, “Oh Gemma, betcha can’t guess which star I’m thinking ‘bout. Oh wow, you got it right, you win a kiss.” Gemma shook her head laughing.
“Geesh, if you were any more cheesy I’d need some ham to go with ya. You know I know what you’re doing, and you know I just play right along.” Gemma wrapped an arm around Rich, leaning up for a kiss.
Rich leaned over and met Gemma’s lips with his own, a small spark bridged the gap as the two touched.
Temporarily dazed, Rich took a breath, “Wow, that spark. So intoxicating.”
Coming back to his senses, Rich grabbed Gemma’s hand in his own. “This time you really did point to the right star, every time Gemma. How?”
“We’re alone, in a field, at midnight, on my 21st birthday...” Gemma pressed her body against Rich, reaching around his body to pull him in tight, “and all you want to do...” she slid down his body, pausing at the bulge in his jeans to give a gentle kiss, a spark jumped from her lips to his zipper and invaded his jeans, teasing around his member like a tiny wet tongue, bringing him to full attention, “is talk about your cheesy pickup lines?”
Rich went to his knees as the two of them collapsed onto a blanket in a flurry of passionate kisses.

“Momma! I found a naked man!”
Rich groggily sat up, hearing the laughter of a small child and feeling sunlight on his bare bottom. Slowly opening his eyes he saw a young boy pointing and laughing at him. Rich quickly grabbed for his pants to cover up. The boy just laughed and ran off.
“Gemma?” Rich looked around trying to find any trace of her.
Seeing a flash of light in the corner of his eye, Rich swung around, his heart jumping a few dozen beats as a burst of lightning exploded by his side. A split second later Gemma was standing next to him, looking down groggy and puzzled.
“Did you just see that?” Rich stuttered in fear, his heart still racing.
“See what?” Gemma yawned and looked genuinely confused at Rich and his panic stricken sweat covered face.
“That flash of light...” Rich paused, “Wait, where did you come from?”
“Dang, last night must’ve done a number on you. We spent the night out here, together. Don’t you remember?” Gemma gave Rich a swift punch.
Confused, Rich slowly got dressed in a daze. Looking up he noticed an insulated foil cup in Gemma’s hand. “Where did that come from?” he motioned to the odd little cup.
“What?” Gemma looked down at the unexpected item in her hand. “What the...”
Startled, she immediately dropped it. As it fell she impulsively reached back out to grab it. A spark dancing from her fingers lept out to the falling cup, entangling both the cup and hot black liquid that had spewed out. In a moment of total unpredictable absurdity, the items simply froze in place mid fall.
“Woah.” was all Rich could manage to mutter, wide eyed, staring at the liquid frozen in mid air as it had spewed out the top of the cup.
Reaching out, he plucked the warm cup from its space and moved it around. It remained in suspended animation, floating wherever he positioned it.
Gemma stared in a state of shock, her hand still outstretched as she watched Rich play with the shiny foil cup. A feeling of energy tingled across her fingertips. Slowly retracting her hand, her fingertips touched, a spark exploded between them as the cup and liquid resumed their fall and splattered onto the blanket below.
In a daze, Gemma plopped her butt down next to Rich, rethinking the last few moments.
“I dreamed I was on a space station at a cosmic coffee shop called Ground Control. When I woke up I remember wishing I could just snap my fingers and have some of that coffee.” Looking down at the unusual cup, Gemma read the words, “Ground Control to Gemma Sparks” scrawled across foil tape on the side. “Celebrating 600 Years of Space Exploration” flashed across the cup, animated with a shooting star and an astronaut raising a toast to the sky.
“Oh my, that wasn’t a dream? It had to be a dream, right? Of course it did...” she paused, contemplating if she were going insane. “I mean people don’t just make a wish and snap their fingers and it happens, right?”
Rich could see energy beginning to dance across Gemma’s fingers again. He quickly grabbed her hand tight before she could bring them together.
“Maybe you should clear your head before you do something... dangerous.” he kept her hand in his, holding her shaking fingers as she fought off her confusion.
“Aw dang it!”, Gemma suddenly shot up, using her free hand to pull at her dress and unstick it from her wet bottom. “I sat in that stupid imaginary coffee! I wish I had another dress to wear.”
Rich felt his arm hair stand on end as a surge of energy pulsed across his body. With a burst of light, Gemma was suddenly holding a new dress in her other hand.
“Rich?” she looked around then down at the new dress.
Grinning mischievously she giggled, “Oh, this is going to be fun.”
Raising her free hand and staring for a moment in wonder at the glow dancing across her fingertips, she closed her eyes tight and smiled. A loud “Snap!” echoed across the empty field.
