A year ago, in order to improve my skills as a writer and story teller, I set off to write the greatest erotic bondage novel that I could conjure. The central character in that story is Laysan. I want the story to be about a fairly everyday woman, although she has an unbounded degree of empathy for others. In this ultimate fantasy where no one can resist falling in love with Laysan, an entire society of women who need to keep her hidden, decide that the only way they will succeed is to allow themselves collectively to fall for her. Indeed, this is a tale of bondage where the thickest steel is made of love.
In Laysan, I fantasize of creating a character that everyone including the reader can love. I do not know if I will be successful in doing so, as flawed as I am, but we must have goals.
In order to learn to write one must read. Writing, after all, is the act of stealing ideas, styles, whatever, and making them your own somehow. Sometimes, for me, this act of "stealing" devolves to an act of "aspiring to be like". This is the case for me when I read the works of
. There are a number of experiments that Ms. Morrison played with which I immediately leapt upon and tried to shamelessly copy. I would describe her work as rich, passionate, bold, beautiful...
So, I can not accurately express how honored and humbled I am to have found that :atfirstdawn: has written a vignette featuring, my love, Laysan. She has allowed me to repost her work here. I'm certain that you will enjoy this as much as I.
When the Singularity arrives, I will push my way to the front of the line in order to be able to translate myself into 1's and 0's and slip across the fiber optic highway to a more green and pleasant shore. I will download myself into a small stone room and wait gagged an in chains trembling in anticipation for a moment of Ms. Morrison's attention.
