Story 3: The Severing
Chapter 14:
"Hello!" I screamed, shocked. "Please!" Someone had to be doing this to me.
I felt all around me desperately looking for a seam of some sort. This space was even tighter than my own cage. I could feel my body pressing heavily against all six sides. Were there any air holes? I started to hyperventilate. "Hello?" I cried.
I heard a series of clanging sounds - a hammering of some sort - a mallet on metal. Then I felt a shift in the darkness. I felt a certain sense of vertigo that made me almost throw up.
With a sudden, ear shattering bang I felt my weight shift to my back. My steel box had been turned. I was now lying with my doubled knees above me.
I heard a rattling sound and a loud click, then my prison began to rumble and shake. The sound of metal dragging across a rough surface was deafening. I drew my arms up around my head as best I could.
I was relieved when the box stopped for a second and prayed that my journey was over. Unfortunately, I felt my world begin to tip again and a second later I was slammed onto my right side. The metal scraping sound resumed and the bumps began to increase in severity. There was a loud bang that forced my body forward against my folded legs. Then my vertigo kicked in again. I was weightless, spinning, falling.
I must say that I thought of death in that moment. I thought of how painful it was going to be broken and bleeding inside this suffocating, steel prison. My box hit something which seemed to slow my speed drastically. A few more clunks and the box settled to a stop. I was on my back again. I felt a stream of cold liquid dribble past my right foot and begin to pool underneath the small of my back.
Oh, shit! I've been thrown into a pool of water or something. Would drowning be less painful? I could only hope so.
Soon, though, I felt my box begin to move and I was jostled around for a while. The water no longer dripped past my foot. The banging of my box on the ground continued for a number of long minutes. When it finally stopped, the rattling continued to echo in my head.
Suddenly, the plate that pushed down on my legs lifted away. And the dim light of a dark room poured into my box. I was in such pain that I could not move immediately, but it did not matter because two featureless faces appeared over me and began to pull me out.
Doll Monsters! I had had enough of these bitches. So, as soon as I could I started thrashing about, trying my best to hit or kick one of them. They simply held me by my shirt and shook me until the fabric ripped and I fell to the hard stone floor.
I jumped up cursing, but they grabbed me by my underwear and bra, and soon those were torn away as well.
"Relax, subGrrl! You have no choice here," one of the faceless said. Another squeezed some sort of container which sprayed a gooey gel into my eyes. As I reached up to wipe the shit away, I was poked in the ribs with a prod and a painful electric current began to course through my body.
"This will help you see," a Doll Monster said over my screaming.
I fell to the stone floor writhing in pain. Every orifice through which fluids may flow in or out of my body was on fire. And when the crackling finally stopped I was too stunned to move a muscle. Three of the Doll Monsters stood over me for a moment, perhaps trying to determine if I was still alive. When I started to finally get my muscles to react to my commands to move, the Doll Monsters turned away and left me where I lay on the lumpy stone floor.
By the time I had gathered the strength to sit up and look around the room, the Doll Monsters were gone. I was in a room that looked like your classically cliche dungeon with dark stone walls illuminated by burning torches. I knew that it had to be a dream world, but I had not found that fact to make any difference when it came to my physical comfort. My only question was how to get the hell out.
There was an open door directly in front of me. I started to stand, but as I did I felt a strange weight pull down on me. When I looked for the source, I screamed and fell to my knees in rage and horror.
