Double Timer hails from the arts-centric Greenpoint in Brooklyn, honing their skills in the area's various coffee houses and dive bars. Kimmie's soulful voice is backed by her sister Stacey's guitar playing, and they've been equally prominent having a backing band (some local friends are their bassist and drummer), or Stacey grabbing an acoustic and going it alone.

They're lucky in that they have three arms, allowing Kimmie to be more expressive onstage while Stacey's hands play the guitar.
