Born in California's Bay Area to an American dad and a Korean mom, the girls were nurtured in their youth to appreciate both cultures. Thanks to their mother's family exposing them at an early age, they were always excited and eager to follow the K-pop trends, even before they took hold in the US.

After gathering some early exposure singing English versions of songs their mother helped translate, they began to find their own voice, with thousands of listeners flocking to their SoundCloud page every week.
