I first started using a bit on my wife during a punishment session, when I decided to go a step further than usual and turn her into a pony-girl. The first bit I used was an improvised one, made of a cut-off wooden coat-hanger, with a piece of rope tied to it at either end. It worked well enough, but its main purpose was to humiliate her, and that it did quite well.
It did it so well, in fact, that I resolved to learn more about these tormenting devices, and my first stop the following day was in a riding equipment shop, where I picked up an inexpensive bridle and bit set, complete with leather reins.
This worked beautifully. My lovely wife was blushing scarlet as I strapped the contraption onto her head, buckling it securely and forcing the chrome bit into her mouth. She gagged on it at first, but quickly learned to adjust her breathing. Her only difficult moment came when I told her that I had bought the bit at a used equipment store, and that it had seen lengthy service in the mouths of countless horses. It seemed as though she was about to be sick, so I admitted my joke, but ever since then she has been very much against my using this device on her.
So, since I do love her, although I may tie her and punish her, and I have no desire to cause her any suffering which doesn't provide her with an equal amount of pleasure, we tried numerous other styles of bits, and finally settled on the one we use to this day, which I like particularly because it can be used for more than one function.
When I want to ride her — symbolically, of course; I never let my fairly substantial weight rest entirely on her slim body — I use it as a bit, with ropes tied to the ends of the solid wooden dowel rod, which I use as reins. How-ever, it can be equally effective with the reins used to lash the bit to her head as a most efficient gag. It not only silences her, but be-cause of the way in which it holds her mouth open, it causes copious amounts of saliva to drool out of her mouth and down her chin, which any devotee of gags can tell you is a wonderfully humiliating situation.
Of all the devices we have tried, the simple wooden dowel and ropes is the most practical, the least painful, and very often the most humiliating. I find it the best way to do the job. My wife, if she could speak, would definitely agree.
