"Gah, I just have no clue what to get you, darling," Jenna pouted into the receiver.
"You don't have to get me anything," reassured Alex, "all I want is to be able to look at your face all day, every day, even when I'm away."
"Oh, I just wish there was some way to do just that!" Jenna responded as she tied her brown hair into a ponytail in the back.
Alex pondered for a moment. "You know," he said, "I was just looking through the pictures I have of you, and none of them really do you justice."
"What do you mean?" Jenna replied curiously.
"Well, all of these pictures are either at some weird angle or with some friends or just show a part of you. I want something that encapsulates your entire, sexy body that I can keep around. Like a pin-up in a magazine, with your entire beauty forever immortalized."
"Hmm," thought Jenna, "Oh well. Hey, did I tell you what Erin was talking to me about? Apparently at her dad's factory they just put in this huge machine that can make anything into a poster. Weird, huh?"
"Jenna, that's perfect!"
"Huh?"
"I wanted a huge picture of you, your friend just got a machine that makes posters, what a coincidence!"
"...I don't get it."
Alex let out an exacerbated sigh. There was no denying that Jenna was hot, with her lithe, slightly tan body, her cute nose, her dreamy eyes, her luscious lips, and her devoted personality. However, Jenna was not always the sharpest tool in the shed. Alex often found it a pain to explain everything to her, but in the end he considered it an endearing quality.
"Well, with that machine you could make a poster of yourself," explained Alex patiently.
"Ooooooh, you're so smart baby!" Jenna excitedly squealed in response. "I'm gonna go right now to make a poster of me so I'll be ready for your birthday! Love you darling!"
"Lo-" Alex started before being cut of by Jenna hanging up out of anticipation for her gift to him.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Wow, so cool!" Jenna called out in excitement.
"I guess," Erin responded coldly.
The two faced a tall, metal machine in the back room of Erin's father's factory. It was fairly simple, consisting of two metal plates, one above and one below, connected to each other by poles that went through each plate, not unlike a bunk bed. The top plate was connected to a bundle of wires, which were in turn connected to what appeared to be a control panel.
"So that thing can make a poster of me?" questioned Jenna excitedly.
Erin quietly smiled to herself. "Yep, I'll use that to make you a poster," she said with a subtle hint of nefarious intentions that was lost on Jenna. "Basically, this machine uses magnets to-"
"Fucking magnets, how do they work? Am I right? What do you think magnets are made of? I bet science can't explain that, huh?" Jenna blurted out.
Erin had been having doubts about going through with her plan when Jenna told her the situation, but now...
"Anyway, I'm so happy that you're helping me even though I started dating Alex despite the fact that you were totally into him. That was probably pretty sad for you, but he and I are like the cutest couple ever so that probably makes up for it!"
Erin was left without a doubt of what she was about to do.
"Enough chit chat!" Erin said with a feigned friendliness. "Let's get this thing started!"
"Alright, what do I have to do?" Jenna impatiently asked.
"If you're ready, just lay down on that lower plate."
"Oh, I'm ready," Jenna said as she happily climbed onto the lower metal plate of the machine. "I picked this outfit out especially for him, he loves to see me in this sort of stuff." She donned a red and black plaid button down shirt, which she wore with the buttons open to reveal a graphic t-shirt underneath. This was complimented by a pair of short jeans that showed off her lean, tan legs. Jenna's outfit was completed by her pair of white Converse shoes that she adored wearing.
"OK, now strike whatever pose you want to be immortalized in," Erin called to Jenna from the control panel of the machine.
"Are the magnets gonna take my picture now?"
"...Something like that."
Jenna posed, placing one hand on her hip and her other arm bent at her side. "You can take the picture now," she called out as she smiled for the camera.
Erin smiled to herself as she lowered a lever on the machine's control panel. The top plate of the machine was jarred awake, and it slowly descended along its bars toward the metal plate.
"Uh, is that supposed to happen?" Jenna asked nervously.
"Yeah, it just needs to get really close to take the picture. Just don't move!" Erin said back.
As the top plate got closer and closer to Jenna's body, she started to wonder where the on the machine actually was. As the top plate touched the tip of her nose, Jenna found herself very confused as to how this machine worked. Then, suddenly, Erin pulled the lever of the machine down as hard and fast as she could. The top plate accelerated its descent, quickly reducing the space between it and the bottom plate to a mere 2 millimeters. A squishing sound could be heard from where Erin was standing as the plates were rapidly brought close together.
Erin smiled to herself. She slowly lifted the lever to separate the plates, as she walked over to the machine to see her handiwork. As she walked up from her control panel, she saw the thin object that the plates had left behind go from a sliver of colors to a life-sized Jenna poster.
The weight of the machine had completely crushed Jenna's body in her pose. Her arms were still in the same position, her outfit was perfectly pressed in place, her legs were slightly apart, and even her white Converse had been preserved just as how they were. Of course, they would look preserved only when viewed from the top. Jenna found herself unable to move her face. Her mouth was still smiling, though her eyebrows had raised slightly in confusion.
"Mmph? Mmm-mm-mmph?" Jenna managed to make some noise through her now much thinner mouth.
"Oh, would you look at that," Erin mockingly said, "You've made such a cute poster. I'm sure Alex will just love you."
Jenna managed to move her eyes to get a better look at her betrayer. "Mmmm?"
"Oh, I just knew that when you said you wanted to be a poster that this machine would do just the trick," Erin taunted Jenna as she ran her finger over her victim's lips, "Yes, the best way to get an accurate picture of something is to use the real thing."
Jenna tried to talk to Erin, but in her state it was no use, all she could do was let out a few muffled moans.
"Posters aren't supposed to make noise you know. I suppose we'll just have to squeeze the ability to vocalize out of you," Erin said with a smile as she returned to the control panel. She once again pulled her favorite lever all the way down, but this time left it down for few minutes. Jenna felt the pressure of the plates all across her body as they steadily crushed her form, making her even thinner than before. By the time Erin released the plates once again, Jenna's body was as thin as a piece of printer paper.
"So, how did it go this time?" Erin sarcastically asked her poster. This time, Jenna was unable to even push a sound through her lips or move her eyes; she had been completely immobilized. Erin, satisfied by the lack of answer from her former acquaintance, peeled the paper thin girl from the bottom plate.
"Well gee, you're so thin now you're libel to rip apart!" said Erin sarcastically. "We had better get you some protection!"
Erin walked over to another nearby machine, though this one was familiar to Jenna. As her flat body flopped around in Erin's grasp, Jenna recognized the machine as the same type of laminator that was at her old school's office. Erin placed Jenna's head into the machine and pressed the start button. Jenna felt her head feed into the machine, as she soon felt her face and the back of her head get covered with warm plastic. If it weren't for the peril of her situation, the heat of the sheets of clear plastic might have been relaxing, but as things were, Jenna was unable to relax. The pin-up shortly emerged from her trip through the machine, now feeling even more squished as she felt her entire body being constantly touched by either the thin layer of plastic surrounding her or her clothes which had been squished into her.
Erin was waiting at the exit of the laminator with a pair of scissors. The plastic had formed a rectangular sheet around her project. As she cut an outline around her Jenna poster, she said, "You turned out really perfect and all, but you know, now that you're a poster, you might not make the best girlfriend. You wouldn't mind if I took over your girlfriend duties with Alex, would you?"
The poster girl was unable to make a response. "Good!" Erin said with a wide, smug grin as she finished cutting off the extra plastic. I guess I'll get you to Alex and we'll be all set!"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Erin walked out of the shower and into the bedroom with nothing but a towel on. Before going to get her clothes, she stopped by a familiar face on one of the walls of the room.
"Oh, hey there Jenna," she said in a chipper tone. Jenna hung up on the wall, still making the same face and the same pose that she had been making since that day in the factory, still encased in a thin layer of plastic, and still just as flat as before.
"You still enjoying your job up there on that wall? Oh, you don't have to answer, I know you are," taunted Erin in the pin-up's face. "You know, I was thinking, maybe someday I'd let you out..." she said as she traced her finger from the tip of Jenna's nose down to one of the Converse at the end of her left leg. "Not any time soon of course. You really are just so much cuter as a poster than as an actual girl. Besides, I wouldn't want you to get in the way of Alex and I like you did before. He's pretty happy with me, and he loves this poster form of yours, so I think it's best if you just stay like that for a while. Anyway, I need to get ready for work. Unlike some people in this house, I don't just lay around all day."
Erin got into the clothes she had packed for Alex's house, and exited the room, leaving Jenna to hang in Alex's bedroom for yet another day.
