I lay in the middle of the living room floor, enjoying the warm sunlight on my body, lazily relaxing as a gentle breeze blows through the open window, carrying various interesting smells, flowers, food, rain in the distance, the warm tarmac of the pavement in the summer sun and freshly cut grass. I lick my lips as I smell the food, part of me wondering what time it is and when my owner will get up, the various clocks in the house not informing me as I am unable to read them, or anything else for that matter, my disability making me like any other pet, I like to think of it as enhancing the experience. 
I hear a faint sound from upstairs, the sound of an alarm clock, I listen intently as my owner turns it off and I hear the springs bounce slightly as he rolls over. He must have decided to have a bit more sleep, still I excitedly get up, he'll be up soon, I can't wait to be with my owner again. I feel my stomach rumble, and also be fed my breakfast.
