I lay in the cool shade of the back garden as I hear my owners busily moving around inside, I'm sure whatever they're doing is fine and close my eyes and enjoy the slight summer breeze over my body and the sounds of birds singing in the trees above me. I open my eyes as one of my owners walks quickly out to the shed and I watch curiously as he carries out a large bag and moves it into the house. Having left the door open I get up and move over to the large wooden structure and poke me head inside, seeing a mess of various things, all covered in dirt, dust and spiderwebs, I vaguely knew what some of the items are, like the loud lawnmower but even before becoming a full time dog I was never any good at gardening or DIY, I'm sure that my owners would know what everything is though.
"Out of the shed." Understanding that I'm not supposed to go in I back away slightly, my owner giving me a quick ruffle on my head, wanting to acknowledge me but seemingly also busy. I know not to get in the way when they're in that mood, best to wait till they come to me. I sit on my knees and watch curiously as he makes several trips back and forth, each time carrying another bag into the house. This is very confusing behaviour and makes me feel slightly concerned, or maybe they're going on holiday again, which makes me feel both sad at them leaving me but also excited as it means that I get to spend time with my friend rex, although part of me does wish that I could go with my owners. I look at my owner as he closes and locks the shed and lowers himself down to me and gives me a few loving strokes.
"You excited to go camping?" Camping? What does he mean? This throws all my thoughts about what is going on out of the window. Although any thoughts I do have suddenly disappear as I'm scratched behind my ear and I'm lost in a world of happiness and I begin panting.
"I bet you'll love camping." I feel slightly sad as my scratching stops and then confused as my owner picks up my doghouse and takes it inside, leaving a small square of yellow grass on the ground. Why was he taking my kennel with him?
Completely confused i walk back inside and find my owners packing a bag with dog food and whine at them.
"What's up boy? You can't be hungry, you only ate an hour ago." Trying to communicate my feelings I bury my head between their legs as if hiding.
"Are you nervous about camping?" He lowers himself down and strokes me reassuringly, which does make me feel better.
"It's alright, you'll be with us the whole time and you'll enjoy being outside, we've got your little doggy house to sleep in and if you're scared you can sleep in the tent with us." I pant happily and give him a lick to show how much I love and appreciate them.
"Aren't you a silly boy for getting so worked up over nothing?" I continue to pant as he fusses me.
"Now then I've got to finish getting everything sorted for our camping trip." I watch as my owner stands and begins walking around the house gathering up different items and placing them into various bags. Trying to stay out of the way I wonder over to my bed in the living room where everything is quiet and lay down and wait excitedly for my holiday with my owners.
I raise my head as my owner enters the room, seeing my lessh I get up excitedly.
"There you are. Are ready to go camping?"
"Woof!" I stand on all fours patiently as he clips on my leash.
"Now before we go I'd better take you outside for the toilet." I obediently follow them to the back garden and reaching the grass I spread my legs and release a stream of piss onto the ground, before shaking my small limp cock and happily following the tug of my leash to the garage. The boot of the car is already open and as my owner helps me climb into my cage I see that it is full of the dusty bags from the shed and several other bags and boxes and my dog house. Through the thin bars of my cage I see my owner walk away, thankfully leaving the boot door open, allowing for some air to flow in the warm weather while I wait for them to return. I don't have to wait long as both my owners quickly return and the boot is slammed shut and the engine roars to life. I watch as my home disappears into the distance and happily watch the world wiz by as we travel to camping.
As the car stops I see a huge field, dotted with small homes of different colours, seeing all the open space makes me feel energetic and I can't wait to get out and play. I hear the window being rolled down and a familiar voice.
"Welcome to the campsite." It's Jack and Fifi's owner, I wonder if I'll see my friends while I'm here?
"You're in section 9X, it's a special private area a bit out of the way from the reat of the campers, so that your pets can be safe. Your friend is already there on the plot next to you." Friend? I wonder who it could be, I like friends.
"Thanks, make sure to stop by at some point, I'm sure he'd be happy to see Jack and Fifi." The car moves on again and as we travel deep into the campsite, passing tent after tent, each full of people happily enjoying their holiday, vague and fuzzy memories surface to my mind as I recall my childhood and camping with my family. I don't remember much, nothing of detail, I try not to think about my human life before becoming a puppy, I prefer not to as if starting again, but I remember being happy, I'm sure I'll be happy camping with my owners as well.
The car continues on and moves away from the mass of tents and drives around a large wooden wall and into another campsite, this one different form the other. Looking out I see other pets like me, some puppies, each in various stages of modification, some with none, a couple like me, some only with one or two that I've had, some naked and some in suits, which must be hot in this weather. I also see a few ponies, again in various stages of modification and dress, one walks by the car, completely naked except for a harness, pony boots and armbinder, pulling their owners in a cart, the bells on her nipples jingling as they passed.
As the car pulls up and the engine stops, I see a familiar face, it's Rex's owner. I excitedly wait as the boot opens and I'm let out of my cage and helped to the ground, my owners still holding my leash, which is a comfort in a busy and new environment, although part of me does want to go and explore and make new friends. I watch as my leash is handed to Rex's owner.
"You go say hi to Rex while we put up the tent." I excitedly follow the tugs of my leash, every now and then getting distracted by people and pets walking passed me. Reaching a tent I see Rex rise to all fours excitedly at seeing me, as I walk up to him he gives me loving licks as I nuzzle him affectionately and take in his scent, while my leash is attached to the same pole as his. Having greeted each other we both happily lay down together, although I have a feeling that Rex would like to do more than lay next to me.
In the distance I can hear my owners putting up the tent but it sounds like they're struggling a bit.
"I suppose I better go and see if they need a hand." Rex's owner looks at us with a knowing smile.
"It should give you both plenty of time to catch up." I watch as he walks off, almost immediately after he leaves our sight I feel Rex getting excited and knowing what he wants I rise to all fours and raise my ass up in the air. As I feel the weight of his warm body on my lower back we both start panting happily as we catch up with each other, not caring that other campers and their pets can see us as they walk passed.
I awake resting against rex and close my eyes not wanting to leave him. I open my eyes again as I suddenly feel my owner's hand stroking my body.
"Wakey wakey. Do you want to see where we'll be camping?" I feel my leash get unhooked and know that I'll be shown regardless. As I stand I give Rex an affectionate nuzzle goodbye and follow my owner to our tent, as I do a few campers, who I'm guessing saw me with Rex, give me funny looks but I don't care, I've long ago lost that aspect of humanity, I'm an animal, if I have need to do something then I do it, whether someone sees it never enters my mind as something to worry about. We arrive at our tent next door to Rex, it has a small fabric wall around it creating a sheltered area around the tent extending at the front, in that section I'm am shown my dog house and bowls, which I quickly empty of water after the long car journey and catching up with Rex.
"Shall we have a walk?" I look up at my owners as I hear the word and move over to them, one of them looks down at me and smiles.
"I guess the decision is made, come on." I feel the tug on my leash as we walk out of our tent and into the campsite. As we walk I see many people, each with their own pets, the number making me feel a bit overwhelmed, while in our own area it was fine but now it's a bit to much stimulation. My nerves are calmed though by the feel of my leash, I always feel safe knowing that my owners have hold of it, I trust them unquestioningly and know they'd never do anything that would cause me harm, so long as I follow my leash and do as I'm told everything will be fine.
After a few minutes we reach a path bordered by bushes away from the campsite and begin to move away from all the noise and movement and I start to relax more and enjoy my exercise with my owners. As we go I stop and sniff interesting things, like flowers, dropped litter, a snail and a post which I think was recently marked by another dog, every time my owners allow me a few seconds to investigate before gently tugging on the leash to remind me to keep moving. As we continue the path starts to get a bit stoney and uncomfortable, noticing my owners slow their pace allowing me to avoid stepping on anything to painful.
Suddenly I hear a jingling sound in the distance and stop trying to figure out what it is. I feel a sharp tug on my leash and understanding I move to my owners who are standing on the side of the path. Hearing the sound of wheels and hooves over the rough ground I tuck myself up against the leg of my owners and sit patiently. As I wait I see a male pony pulling their owner in a cart, like me this pet had modifications done to their body, specifically the removal of their arms, their feet are locked in uncomfortable looking boots that end in hooves and their cock is locked in a tiny metal cage, from which one of the jingling bells rings from, two more hang from his pieced nipples, ringing with every stomping step and deep sweaty breath. The owner waves hello as they pass and quickly disappears into the distance.
Feeling the tug of my leash once more I begin to walk on the stoney dirt path once again, thinking of the pony I feel like I have it good in comparison and willingly move faster and deal with the stones. As we walk my mind wonders as my owners talk about something and I hear the birds singing, feel the wind lightly blowing over my body as it rustles the leaves, the ground beneath my legs, the smells of the plants, dirt, wildlife and other things fill my senses.
The sunlight shines brightly and warms my back as we enter a large field, on the far side I can see the male pony being given some water and start to feel a bit thirsty myself. I suddenly hear a playful barking sound and turn my head, as I do I see a male pup racing over to me. He slows as he nears me and pants excitedly as he sniffs my ass. Realising that he is friendly I happily sniff his ass in return, as I do he inspects my back legs which end where my ankles and feet should be. Unlike me he doesn't seem to have any modifications except for being neutered.
"Oscar!" The pup turns to his owner as she comes over.
"Sorry about that. He's a bit to friendly sometimes."
"That's alright, he's used to being around other pets." I feel a reassuring stroke telling me to be nice to the other pup, which I planned to do anyway, he seems like he'd be a fun friend.
"Do you want to play with your new friend for a bit?"
"Woof." I feel my leash unclip from my collar and we quickly begin playing, chasing each other through the field, both panting away happily, while our owners have a conversation.
Hearing our names we both race back to our owners, I come to a stop panting hard as I take deep breaths as my owner clips my leash back on, Oscar quickly following behind me. I feel my owners giving me a loving stroke on my head and feel happy to be back with them.
"Did you have fun playing with you new friend?"
"Woof." Tired my bark comes out quieter than usual.
"I think it's time that we head back. It was nice meeting you." I take one last look at my new friend before I follow the tug of my leash and slowly walk back up the path the way we came. As we do head back to the campsite I hear the jingling noise once again and move to the side with my owners but the instead of passing us the cart comes to a stop.
"Excuse me but I was wondering if you wanted a lift back to the campsite." I look up tiredly at the cart and the pony pulling it, his muscular body must be getting exhausted pulling that thing and now he might get three more passengers. Although I don't feel to sorry for him, like me he chose to be an animal and as such should be viewed as one, his role is to pull carts, i doubt he expects people to think it wrong to treat him in such a way, just like how I wouldn't for people treating me like a dog, we both willingly gave up our humanity and being treated as such.
"That would be great, thankyou." I wait patiently as one of my owners climbs in and I'm guided and helped to climb in, as I'm sat on the chair between my owners the owner of the pony reaches over and gives me a friendly stroke, which reassures me. With a crack of the whip against the pony's ass the cart begins to move and quickly picks up speed. I pant happily as the fresh air blows into my warm and tired body, relieved that I don't have to walk all the way back.
Reaching the campsite the cart stops near a small block of stables, some are empty but I can see a few ponies locked away inside their small homes, some male, some female, all with a variety of modifications and state of dress. I'm helped down from the cart and onto the concrete floor.
"Thanks for the lift."
"No problem." As I walk away back to the tent I see the owner lead their pony into one of the stables by its reins. Reaching our tent I feel my leash unclip and immediately go to my water bowl and lap up my water, having quenched my thirst my tired legs give out and I collapse onto the grass and quickly fall to sleep.
I awake to a growling noise as my stomach rumbles and groans at me. Yawning and stretching I slowly get to all fours and crawl over to my food bowl and stare at the empty shiny surface, a small whine escaping my lips.
"You hungry? I suppose it is your dinner time." My owner gets up out of a camping chair and opens a bag pulling out a tin and opening it tips the contents into my bowl. I watch as the cold chunks of meat held in jelly drops into my bowl, this isn't normally what I'm given for dinner but when cooking and storing my special puppy food isn't practical or in an emergency my owners can feed me regular dog food. It's not as nice as my regular food but I've had it enough times to be used to it, good thing that I'm not one of those fussy pets and instead one who just appreciates being fed. Hungry and needing to quiet my stomach I lower my head to my bowl and take a bite of the jelly covered meat.
Finishing my meal I raise my head and lick my lips, I didn't particularly enjoy it but I don't want to be ungrateful to my owners and it did do the job of getting rid of my hunger. As I try to decide what to do next I see Rex and his owner walk into our area. I quickly go up to Rex, always happy to see him, and give him an affectionate nuzzle and quickly lay down with him while our owners sit in their chairs and chat. It's great that Rex is here as well, I always enjoy being with him, he clearly enjoys being with me, I can tell that he wants to catch up again, the old romantic.
"Hey guys." I look up at the voice and see a familiar face and alongside him Jack and Fifi. I get up and greet them excitedly, Fifi seeming more confident and also much more connected to Jack since I last saw her, although she doesn't seem to know what to make of Rex as he comes to say hello. Jack sensing her concerns steps between the two, Rex though only looks scary and intimidating, he's actually a huge softy and he quickly backs down to Jack and settles back on the ground. After saying hello I rejoin Rex, partly to show the other two that he's a friend and nothing to worry about, Jack and Fifi quickly settle down together near to us, as they rest the two nuzzle each other.
"I should really get me one of those pets." Part of me feels jealous at the idea of Rex having a full time pup living with him.
"Well I will have some more in the near future but you'd hqve to wait 18 years." I had feeling that her and Jack had bonded, she seems a lot more happy and confident now.
"When getting a pet you must make sure to do the right checks, some people will deal in some dodgy and sick stuff, anyone who does that should be locked up. Fifi was very careful when looking for an owner for that reason, cause not many would do what she wanted but she said that if she was going to be Jack's partner then she wanted to do it properly. I was a bit hesitant at first as I've never done that before, Jack is the first one I haven't neutered, the lucky boy, but she was very clear about what she wanted." I'm glad to hear that Jack and Fifi's owner has such views, I'm sure that her pups will be safe with him but you do get some disgusting people out their, Fifi must really trust him.
"But fifi's contract says that I can't give them away. She wants me to never be alone, I can only give them away if I can no longer look after them." I can understand that, human pets don't have a super long lifespan, what with our diets and how our joints ware out, my own contract states that after 25 years of being owned I can be put down for any reason, like if my joints start to get so bad that I can't move around or I develop health problems or other things that my owners may consider reducing my quality of life to much or if my owners can't look after me due to their own age and health, with a few reasons being allowed before that timeframe, like a serious injury or cancer. It also has instructions about rehoming me if they are unable to look after me anymore, a day I hope never comes and fear far more than the former, I'm fine with being put down if that's what is best, I wouldn't want to put my owners through watching me slowly suffer but I'd hate to be separated from them or something bad to happen to them that would mean we have to part ways. Part of me wonders if they should get a second pet, one a bit younger than me but I'm not really sure how I'd react, I think I might get jealous sharing the attention and affection of my owners, on the other hand I might view them more as a younger brother and playmate, this is why my owners make the decisions, I'm just not able to think through all the complexities, if I do ever get a brother I'm sure it will be fine.
"I'm sure I can find a respectable trainer who can get you a pet if you want and know a few social groups with those looking for owners who can adopt them."
"Yeah, that would be great, definitely something to think about. As you can see Rex is great around them, although I wouldn't want to affect their relationship." As if on cue Rex gives me a small affectionate lick and I nuzzle him back in response.
"They do make a cute couple." As the owners move onto other topics I focus on Rex and enjoy spending time in his presence, part of me hoping that his owner doesn't get him a friend who will take him from me.
"What time is it, I'm suddenly feeling hungry." My ears perk up at the mention of food, while I have eaten already the dog food isn't as filling as my regular meals.
"Is their anywhere nearby where we can get food? I don't really feel like cooking."
"Yeah I know a place. We can head there if you want."
"Sounds good to me." I stand as our owners do, the sudden movement making me unsure of what is happening. I feel my leash clip to my collar and I'm led to a pole along with Rex, Jack and Fifi, who are all hooked to it.
"We're just going out for dinner, we will be back soon, behave." With that I'm given a few loving strokes before they turn and leave us alone.
Fifi seems a bit worried by the situation and quickly curls up with Jack burying her head into him for comfort. Rex on the other hand seems happy to be left with me and as if on instinct I raise my ass into the air for him not caring if my other puppy friends can see, even if it reminds Jack of his chastity as he watches us.
All four of us wake in the dark as our owners return, torch lights blinding us as they use them to see as they unhook us from the pole.
"It was good seeing you, best be off. Come on Jack, Fifi." I watch as they leave, a small part of me missing their company.
"I should probably head back as well. Come on Rex." I feel even sadder as Rex leaves, my owners giving me loving strokes as they sit back down in their chairs, I sit by them and enjoy their loving attention as it takes Rex off my mind.
"Time for bed I think." My leash is picked up.
"Let's quickly take up for the toilet." Led by my least and torch light I follow my owner, dodging the my tent pegs and to a bush behind the tents and have my usual bedtime piss, the feel relief as I empty my full bladder and shake before going back to our tent. As we enter our outside area I'm led to my kennel and my leash is hooked to the outside wall, securing me in place and preventing me from being able to wonder off or stolen.
"You be a good boy and get some sleep." I lay down in my dog house, with my head poking out I watch my owners unzip the tent and step inside before zipping it closed, leaving me alone in the dark. I lower my head to the ground and close my eyes. I jump as I hear someone walk passed and wait until they're gone, I must keep guard of my owners. I relax again and try to go to sleep but strange noises fill the night, voices, footsteps passing by, the fabric blowing in the cool summer wind, so many new sounds, it is hard to relax as each sound is a new threat. My owners wouldn't bring me somewhere dangerous and I must remember that they're just behind the tent wall, I'm safe here. I lower my head down and continously remind myself of my loving owners as I eventually drift off to sleep.
I awake to the sound of someone walking passed and the deafening bird song, I don't know what time it is but the sun is up but still low in the sky. I stretch stiffly and crawl out of my kennel, feeling pressure in my bladder I find a spot in the corner and relieve myself into the damp grass. My body cold from sleeping outside, I find a sunny patch and lay down in it to absorb its warmth, although used to being naked and sometimes cold, the night air here was a bit cooler than I'm used to, the feeling of the hot sun warming me though is enjoyably pleasant. As I lay in the sun with my eyes closed the world around me slowly comes to life as more and more campers wake up and start moving around, filling the air with noises and smells. I raise my head as I hear the sound of the tent unzipping behind me and turn to see my owners slowly step out. One of them walks up to me and gives me a good morning fuss before walking off towards a building in the distance, as they disappear I hear a strange clicking noise followed by a sizzling sound and a wonderful smell. I get up and walk over to my owner as he stands by a small camping stove and he looks down at me.
"I guess you want breakfast." He stops what he's doing and quickly empties a tin of dog food into my bowl, although it's not as nice as what he is cooking I hungrily eat it up as my rumbling stomach tells me to. By the time I finish my bowl my other owner returns smelling fresh and clean. I watch as they place some delicious smelling food onto plastic plates and sit in their chairs and drink their morning drinks. As they eat one of their sausages rolls of the plate as it shifts on their lap, landing in the grass. Still slightly hungry and attracted to the smell I move over to it.
"N... oh go one then." I happily bite into the warm sausage, accidentally pulling up a blade of grass with the bite, before taking the second half into my mouth and happily eating it. My owners are so kind to share their food with me.
I watch as my other owner leaves and I sit by my owner as he reads a book and absent mindedly strokes my head as I rest it on their lap, I always love these moments of just existing with my owners, doing nothing but being with them. My other owner soon returns also smelling clean.
"Shall we go for a morning stroll?" Taking my leash I follow my owners as we head off for a nice walk into the outdoors. I love camping.
Epilogue:
I sit in my cage looking out the window as familiar landmarks pass by, seeing my home I feel happy, while I enjoyed my holiday I do miss my home and its comforts. Pulling up inbthe garage I am helped out of car and excitedly hurry to the door eager to return to my safe, warm and special home, my world where my dreams came true and where I always feel lived and safe. As the door opens I'm greeted with the familiar smells and race indoors.
"Here boy. I think someone needs a bath." Following my owner up the stairs I wait patiently just outside the bathroom as he fills the bath. Picking me up he lifts me over to the shallow pool of warm soapy water and begins to wash my body, removing dirt, mud, bits of grass and whatever else I'd collected over the past few days. I stand obediently still and enjoy my owner lovingly taking care of me.
Now standing on a towel I feel my owner rub me dry with another warm towel, I love this feeling as I'm rubbed and stroked all over. Feeling clean I shake my damp head and pant happily, happy to be home and happy to have such wonderful owners who love me and look after me.
