Zoe stared at the machine on the ground in front of her. “Are you sure this will work?”

Scarlett tightened one last bolt on the strange machine in their back yard. It looked more like an olympic torch sized bowl than something meant to turn toons into clouds for an afternoon in the sky.

“I guess? I’m good with tools but the science here is a mystery to me. Sonia said her friend tested it, right? Her boo loved it, so it’s up to you if you want to try it.”

Zoe shrugged and stepped in. “Might as well try it.”

Scarlett powered on the machine.

“Oooooo that feels nice.” The heat hit Zoe immediately. Her legs sank fast, melting up to her thighs immediately. Tan goo splashed up against the sides, making waves within the bowl. She leaned back against the bowl, making waves in herself. Drops of herself were falling from her chest as she felt her back spreading into the growing puddle. The feel of the hot metal on her aching muscles was wonderful! Zoe let the knots in her back from the week literally melt away to goo. Layers of her pooled in the bowl, her butt and boobs reduced to goop by the device. She only wished this could last longer.

The last few drops of her head splashed in, but the machine wasn’t done. Her smiling face on top bubbled away and mixed into the murky dark grey pool of herself. Zoe was burbling with joy. She hadn’t had a proper hot massage like this in years, and this machine completely puddled her in seconds?!

As the machine kept going, Zoe realized it wasn’t just her bubbly personality. She actually was boiling in the container. Her goop was feeling lighter, and she could fell less of the bowl touching her.

More interesting to Zoe was the wind rushing through her.

Scarlett was amazed. Zoe’s melt was fast and spectacular, but now there was a tan cloud of her hovering above it, and the rest of the grey goo was bubbling vigorously. Before she knew it, none of Zoe remained in the bowl.

The steam above the bowl coalesced into Zoe’s figure, wisps of color seemingly steaming away with the breeze, but not ruining her figure.

Zoe felt herself to make sure it wasn’t a dream, and realized her hands could go right through her body. “Hey! This is weird!” She jammed her hands into her chest, turning her assets and her arms into poofy clouds until she pulled them out. “Hah! That tickles!”

Scarlett walked over, and ran a hand through her team mate. Zoe’s got shape distorted, like an image at the bottom of a pool, but snapped back together. “Whoa...”

Zoe smiled. “How long do I have like this? I know I joked about being an air elemental in the game that session, but I didn’t think this was possible.”

Scarlett scratched her head. “Going by Sonia’s story and the instructions, you’ve got about a half hour, but you could rain down sooner if you wanted to.”

“Only that long? Then I’m off! See you soon!” And Zoe flew away.

She flew over the town to the park. Trees waved in the wind, and Zoe flew right through them. Her figure burst into puffs of smoke as branches batted her, but she always swirled back together. The feeling was amazing.

It didn’t feel like a half hour, but she could feel herself getting heavier as heat left her. Zoe looked around for her second reason for choosing the park. It didn’t take long to find them.

Jess and Amber were out for a long run, training while she and Scarlett played with strange toys.

Zoe snagged some leaves from a nearby tree, juggling them inside herself, and flew in front of them, leaning back as if on a couch.

“Hello ladies. Nice run?”

Jess nodded, not immediately comprehending the situation. “Yeah Zoe, it’s pretty nice out and...wait...how?”

Amber and Jess slowed to a stop, staring at the cloudy girl in front of them.

“You complain about toys, I try to see opportunity. And Amber, tell Jess to be more careful about tornado warnings.”

“What?”

Zoe flew at Jess, and spun like she imagined wind elementals in their game would. She turned into a small whirlwind of herself, but she wasn’t quite as solid as the real thing. Her power level was closer to the whirlpool in a bathtub; you could see it, but it was harmless. She did, however, manage to  mess up Jessica’s hair.

“HAHAH! Zoe, stopHAH! That tickles! Wait until we get home!”

Zoe floated up above Jessica. “Okay, we’ll get Scarlett to help do this again later...but I think that was all the energy I had in me.”

They watched Zoe float up, her cloud shape wobbling and appearing more shiny and wet.

Jess scratched her head. “You okay Zoe?”

Zoe responded, “Yeah...just tired...” before her wobbly liquid body fell out of the air, directly onto her head.

*SPLASH*

Jessica stood there, covered in Zoe goop. The look on her face suggested she wasn’t completely upset about being doused with her girlfriend, just happily confused. She raised her arms, letting dark grey goo drip to the ground. She sloughed more Zoe off her shoulders and turned to Amber.

“Uuum...Do you have a spare water bottle to carry her home?”

Another beautiful piece from Samarkana :iconsamarkana: ! Taking inspiration from Dust Bunnies - Rolls and Relaxation, we have Zoe the Wind elemental. Wisps of her blow in the breeze, but she'll be okay. Better watch out for her tornado form though...at least once she gets some practice.
