Scarlett shivered through her bright blue bubble jacket. "Brrrr! It's cold out here! Couldn't we just stay inside? I know it's the first snowfall this winter, but did we need to go to the park?"
Amber rolled her eyes under her pink snow cap. "Please babe, you won't turn to ice in that jacket. Just watch your step, it's beautiful in the park today. Just look at the snow lining the trees! Breathe the clean air!"
Scarlett pouted. "Okay, it looks nice. But let's make sure we don't freeze out here! I don't want to be an ice sculpture over night again."
"Okay Scarlett, I promise we won't go near the stream."
Scarlett breathed a sigh of release. "Whew!"
Amber muttered under her breath. "Shame. The frozen lake looks gorgeous."
The continued their walk, enjoying the scenery. They even saw a few birds, and a chipmunk that Scarlett couldn't help but giggle at.
"See Scarlett, the park is great any time of year! There were some snowfolk in sweet scarves and top hats, I think we saw a little bird, and...oh wow what's that!"
Scarlett followed Amber's point to a spectacular deep blue flower. "Oh wow, what is this thing?"
Amber was already jogging past Scarlett to the rare flower. "It's an Icy Neptune Bloom. But These haven't been seen here in years. I thought we lost them."
Scarlett raised her eyebrows, thinking about it. "Wait, they've been missing?"
Amber was kneeling in front of the flower, snapping a picture with her phone and studying it. "Yeah, it hasn't been seen in these parts for a long time, we thought this region was devoid of them now. I've gotta show this to Jess and Zoe. This a great find! We need to make sure it stays here and gets a chance to spread for next year!"
"Rare flower...in the snow...at your favorite park...something doesn't feel right about this. Amber, hurry and take that photo, I've got a bad feeling about this."
Amber kept snapping photos. "Oh calm down. You and Jess play too many strategy games and-ACK!"
*PMMFFFF*PMMFFFF*PMMFFFF*
"GET 'EM!"
Yuki and Lily came charging over a snow drift, pelting Amber and Scarlett with snowballs.
Amber managed to get away from the flower, but was already getting covered with snow. Her yellow snow clothes were already coated with white.
"AMBER I HATE-AAACK!"
Scarlett wasn't faring any better. Her red hair was speckled with snowflakes, her face was turning a ice blue as she ran, and Yuki had rolled a giant 4 foot snowball running straight for her.
"See ya melty face!"
"AAAAH!"
*KRRRRRRSH!!!"
The snowball exploded on Scarlett's back, and she felt her body stiffen. She was surrounded by enough snow though, that instead of turning to ice, she felt her body expanding. Her legs grew into each other, rounding out. Her stomach grew into a sphere as well. And she felt her lips splitting into little dots.
Yuki stopped in front of her, still laughing playfully. "Hah! Lily, I did it! I made a red headed snowfolk! She even has a coal smile with her blue jacket!"
Meanwhile, Amber was fighting back against Lily. Most of her left side looked like it was made of snow, but she kept returning fire. Lily was doing her best, but Amber kept hitting her in the legs. Lily's black pants were slowly fusing together, turning into large a gray snowball, ruining her mobility.
"Yaaah! Stop gloating and give me a little help Yuki!"
She flung one more snowball at Amber.
*PWOOMP*
Amber felt her body giving into the snow too now. Everything except her head and her right arm were made of snow now, but she wasn't frozen yet. "Nice shot Lily. But you should have finished what you started. Now...UUUUGH!" Amber grunted loudly, forcing her snowy body to move, "don't get frost bite!"
Amber rolled forward, letting her body completely turn to snow and ice. Still, she had enough momentum that the giant pink snowball was hurtling towards the helpless Lily.
She slumped, knowing what was coming. "Yuki, you better clean me up after-ACK!"
Lily disappeared into the growing Amber snowball, which only picked up more snow as it rolled. Yuki ran after it, but it was rolling towards the wall of a service shack just off the trail. She could only watch.
*PWOOOOOMF*
Amber braced herself, but was still knocked out from the intensity of bursting apart into snowflakes. Pink snow exploded into the air, swirling around the wall of the 10 foot tall shack. Amber enjoyed as much as she could, flying everywhere and feeling everything in the breeze. At least once she was snow, the air felt great. Soon though, her scattered body settled on the ground, a snow fort sized hill pink in the snow, giving her time to relax and focus on reforming.
Lily's experience was less chaotic. She was flattened by the snowball, turned completely to snow by Amber, and was on the forward facing edge of the giant snowball when it hit. While Amber poofed and would be able to collect herself relatively soon, all of Lily's snow was caked on the wall in a huge flattened disk. Rings of Lily's colored snow, from her purple jacket to her black pants, surrounded her snowy beige face and spiral black eyes.
Yuki eventually did walk over to survey the damage. "Oh wow...Sorry Lily! But hey, Amber's just powder, and we have a Snow Amber!"
Lilly only groaned in response, frozen in place on the wall.
Yuki rubbed the back of her head, embarrassed. "You just hang in there, I'm sure I left a flame thrower around somewhere!"

Jess sat in the passenger seat of Zoe's car. "I can't believe Amber let them get iced AGAIN. They couldn't even make it one snowfall."
Zoe made another turn towards the park. "You know that girl. Loves her nature walks and weird flowers. At least we know where they're frozen."
Jess drummed her fingers on the dash. "True, but now we need to figure out some friendly revenge. We can't let those two prank the rookies like that."
Zoe laughed. "I suppose you are right. But we can think about that after we melt them back to normal."
"So we walk up to Scarlett and say melty time?"
They both laughed at the red head's expense, and continued the drive. It was slow going through the snow, even without traffic, but in a few blocks they had to pull over.
Jess leaned forward, staring at the incredulous site. "Wait, who the hell would be standing in the middle of the road?"
"Bella. That blue highlight is very distinctive."
Zoe finished parking, and they got out of the car to see why she was standing in the cold.
Zoe waved until she turned around. "Hey Bella! You okay?"
Bella turned around. The light tan skinned woman still had mostly black hair above her soft red eyes, except for a single long blue locke. She wore a black winter coat, and a longer thicker skirt than usual, this one down to her ankles, but still wore her usual red chain and blue half skirt over it.
"Hmm? Oh, hi Zoe, hi Jess! Yeah I'm doing great! How are you?"
Jess scratched her head hard, angry and confused by their stop. "Why are you out here in the cold? I'm glad you're dressed for it, but still. Did your car break down or something?"
Bella smiled warmly. "Oh no, I'm just waiting for someone to pick me up."
Jess almost screamed. "What?! Here?"
But Bella's response didn't phase Zoe. "Is he late again?"
Bella nodded once. "Yeah. One day that guy will learn to be on time."
Jess looked back and forth between them. "Wait. You're dating a guy that perpetually leaves you out in the cold to wait for him?!"
Bella giggled. "Yeah. He makes up for it though."
Now Zoe did turn to Jess. "He's a swell guy. We should grab dinner together sometime." She turned back to Bella. "Hey, if the snow gets much worse I might ask you two for help. Scarlett and Amber got reduced to piles of snow in the park and we were just going to dig them out, maybe literally. Can you help us out when you're done?"
Bella put her hand to her mouth. "Oh no! I hope they're okay."
Jess laughed. "Oh, we'll just melt them near a fire at home if they're not. They're tougher than they look, just clumsy."
Bella nodded one more time. "Sure. We just had one thing to do and...Oh, there he is!"
A rather large truck with bright headlights came into view a down the road, easily speeding through the snow.
Zoe laughed. "Johny still has the same old truck?"
"Yeah, but he got new snow chains for this season. It's a new model, we've been waiting to try them all year. He went first last year, so now it's my turn."
Bella visibly blushed, her face twisting into a wry smile when she finished. Her eyes now had the twinkle of insanity in them.
Jess looked at the two women baffled. "Wait, what are you two?"
Zoe gave Jess a gentle shove towards the side of the road. "I'll explain later. You might want to get out of the way."
Bella looked at Zoe, still wearing a crazy smile. "Just Jess? Did you want to join me?"
Zoe shrugged and held Bella's hand. "Well, you always said I should try this sometime."
Jess looked at the two of them, then looked back to the oncoming truck. With it closer, she could see the oversized tires, wrapped with big thick chains for the snow.
She smacked her forehead, and walked towards their car. "You two are nuts. I'll get the shovel."
Zoe beamed. "Thanks Jess!"
Bella took a deep breath. "You ready?"
"Yup!"
"Good, because here we OOOOF!!!"
"ACK!"
Bella's boyfriend Johny's truck never slowed down. It sped straight into the two women in the street, chains tearing into them. Both felt their bodies get pinned to the snow, squished and pleasantly spread atop the crushed snow by the heavy vehicle above. That along was nice, but before any ice effects could claim them, the chains dug in.
Zoe cried out gleefully. "OH THIS IS-"
Bella agreed. "YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH-BRLBRLAHBRRRBLEEEEEEEH!"
The chains pierced their bodies easily in their floppy malleable states. Zoe felt all the usual effects of mass pushed up her body by a good squish, but she was surprised how good the chains felt molding her around. She practically melted into the snow when her sensitive areas were chewed up by steel. What she didn't anticipate was mixing with snow, leading to a spray of Zoe colored slush everywhere. Entire globs of their black, tan, and some blue slush got kicked up by the truck, the only sign they were ever there at all.
At this speed, all Jess could really see was one moment her friends were standing there, the next there was an explosion of Zoe and Bella colored slush splattering all over the road. Once Johny was clear, stopping maybe a few hundred feet down the road, she ran over to the Zoe slush.
"Hey babe, you okay?"
Zoe's body was slowly oozing back together, but it was slowed by the cold. Still, two silver eyes appeared on the surface, and looked at Jess.
"Agaaaaain!!!"
The eyes tried to rise up, on a misshapen Zoe head tendril, but the chains really did a number on them. She splooshed back into the snow, quickly freezing into a black block of ice.
Jess picked up her shovel. "Welp, I guess I load you into the car for now. You need any help Bella?"
The blue and black slush quivered and sat there. If anything, it was getting hotter and steamier the more Bella thought about her body's recent obliteration.
"Right...I'll just get Zoe then. Thanks again for agreeing to help us dig out Scarlett and Amber!"
A tan arm briefly rose out of the Bella puddle, giving a quick thumbs up, before it splashed back into the rest of her.
Jess just shook her head and looked at the ice block in her hands. "Zoe, your friends are weird."
