Amber parked the car in the park's gravel parking lot on the outskirts of town. It was a clear sunny morning, a welcome sight after the storms overnight. The trees were still covered with raindrops, gently swaying and dripping in the breeze. The paths looked a little muddy, but that was part of Amber's plan. There were always less people in the park after a rainy night, so she and Scarlett would have the park to their selves. They both climbed out of the car, and took in deep breaths of the crisp morning air.

Amber wore one of her running outfits, a dark yellow tank top and short pink shorts that hugged her hips. Neither left much to the imagination. Even if she wasn't the curviest woman in the house, Amber liked to show off for her girlfriend.

Scarlett was not a serious runner, and wore generic gym clothes for their morning jaunt. She wore a light blue nylon t-shirt variant of her usual one, featuring an unhappy melting snowman instead of an ice cube. She contrasted it with equally short yellow shorts.

Amber stretched towards the sky smiling, before declaring "This is the place!"

"Your big race is next month?"

"Yeah. This is the fifth year in a row they're having it here. It's a nice park for a 5K. I think it's actually bringing attention to the fact the park even exists. Maybe they'll even raise enough money to make the renovations."

While Amber started stretching, Scarlett hopped in place a few times before walking up to the gate. "Renovations?"

"There are some spots on the trail that aren't really made for a lot of people running side by side all at once. The first year it took an hour to untangle the first batch of runners. THEN they started on the second human knot. Even Jess would have had trouble getting out of there."

Scarlett knocked on a sign. It was clearly new, not showing the same wear and tear from being outside that the others did. "It looks like you might have your wish hon."

Amber continued stretching her arms and neck while approaching the sign. "What is this...Renovations underway for next month's 5K race. Visitors are advised to bring a friend along for restorations, and use caution."

She looked up to the sky in disbelief. "Of COURSE they're fixing the trail right before the race. And here I thought I might stay normal for a day on a hike with my favorite girl." She put her arm around Scarlett's shoulders and squeezed for emphasis.

Scarlett blushed and smacked Amber's back. "Did you really think that babe?"

Amber grinned and looked at Scarlett. "I'd personally rather be the squisher than the squishee on these hikes. I have no doubts you're going to fall into something conveniently placed in the woods and take me with you, my squishy one." She gave Scarlett a quick kiss on the cheek. "You're practically a magnet for that stuff."

Scarlett blushed. "Aw!"

"Come on now, no melting on the trail...yet"

The couple laughed, and started their morning run along the dirt path.

The ladies jogged along the same trail that would host Amber's 5K in a few weeks. The dirt path wound through low rolling hills, lined by more and more oaks and elms and other trees as it went further from the main road. The sparkling blue water of a lake was visible through the trees. The scents of wildflowers and the sounds of woodland creatures welcomed them.

About 300 meters in, they came to a steep slope. There were caution barriers marking a winding patch of fresh grass, and a wide rocky path leading straight down the hill along a 60 foot slope into the woods.

Amber smiled. "Well, at least they're finally making a straight path for the race." She pointed to the new grass. "That used to be the path. This is where someone always trips and takes out half the race. Hopefully they make this less treacherous soon."

She started down the hill, trying to avoid holes and stray rocks.

Scarlett was a little more tentative. "Maybe, but they could have made this a little less steep."

"Yeah, I'll call the race organizers tonight and tell them to work on this more before-"

"WHOOAA!" Scarlett stepped on one of the golf ball sized rocks, lost her balance, and tumbled forward.

Amber turned and saw Scarlett sliding towards her. "Try to grab me!" She opened her arms and tried to catch her love before anything happened, but she was moving down the hill too fast.

"OOF!"

Amber got in Scarlett's way to absorb the fall, but the momentum was too much. They started tumbling down the hill together, limbs flailing, getting stuck on the ground, and tangling up with each other. They were spinning fast and wrapping around each other, their bodies disappearing inside the other's overstretched arms and legs. By the time they reached the bottom, the ladies were one giant tangled rubber band ball of toony limbs with two heads.

Amber focused on the good part of their fall. She loved the feeling of Scarlett getting wrapped around her. Her soft squishy body was one of her best features. Even if she was getting just as stretched out, that was just more of herself to wrap around her love, getting mashed together with every bounce.

Of course, she also hoped they stopped soon.

So did Scarlett. "AAAAAAAAAAH SOMEBODY STOP US!"

They rolled another 20 meters before the trail turned around a maintenance shack. Unable to control their bouncing body, they bounced straight into its wall.

"Not sure this is what I UUUUUURK!!"

Amber and Scarlett collided with the wall, flattening against it. Their giant flat heads were in the center, surrounded by the impossible tangle of peach ribbons that was once their bodies.

Both ladies were slow to regain their senses. "Uuuugh..."

Amber was focused on the practical, her flat head staring at the slope. "I need to tell them to fix that slope."

"Uuuuuh Amber?" Scarlett's voice sounded half dazed from getting smooshed, and half caught up in her current shape.

"Yeah babe?"

"How tight are we squished together?"

Amber grinned at their ridiculous state. She felt around for her hands, and tried to flex her fingers. She couldn't move much, but she was pretty sure she had two good handfuls of Scarlett. As much as she would rather not to be squished, she couldn't deny this felt nice.

She squeezed Scarlett.

"Ooo!!! Is that you?"

"Yup. Where do I have you?"

"Mmmmmm soooome...wheeeeere...blblblbllbb..."

Where ever Amber was squeezing Scarlett, it had the desired effect. She felt Scarlett going slack, getting goopier, and her own ribbonny body sliding down the wall. The gaps between Amber's ribbons started to fill with smooth Scarlett goop. Her squishy melty body always felt great, surrounding her and with warmth. Amber almost got lost in the feeling, and had to refocus herself to make sure she stayed solid.

Eventually Amber's tangled body flopped to the ground, into a puddle of warm gooey Scarlett. "Hey, can you pull yourself together?"

The pool of Scarlett bubbled. "Mmmm...you could I guess."

Amber sighed. "One of these days Scarlett." Amber felt around her celtic knot of a body to get a feel for where each part of her was. Once she was confident she could get her arms loose, flat Amber started spinning. She focused on freeing her arms, and they started flying in the air above her like streamers. The force created a small whirlwind, not strong enough to disturb the rocks and trees, but enough to splash bits of Scarlett into the air around her.

Soon Amber was a windy tangle of limbs with streams of Scarlett circling her, siphoning her into a shimmering orb of goop above her.

Amber eventually restored herself, and came to rest in her normal shape. "Alright! You feeling up to moving again babe?"

She looked up at the floating, shimmering ball of melted Scarlett above her. She hovered for another second before collapsing back into a puddle of Scarlett wish a loud SPLASH.

Scarlett's eyes appeared on top of the layers of her goop. "The was fun Amber! Do it again!"

Amber rolled her eyes. "Come on goopy girl, we have a trail to finish walking. Pull yourself together so I can squish you later."

Scarlett's eyes faded and she bubbled. "But I don't wanna get up..."

"Uuuugh Scaaaarleeeet." Amber sighed, sat down, and ran her finger through her girlfriend until she got up.

Once Scarlett finally returned to solidity, they got back to their jog. A few more renovations were happening out here, but they were mostly minor bridge repairs rather than changes to the trail itself. The wide path went into the woods, winding through trees and natural rock formations. Large groups of flowers lined the path here, leaving a sweet scent hanging in the air.

"Amber, look at all these flowers!"

"I know! They always plant fun flowers out here. It gives the bees and butterflies something to do too. The beekeepers next door are where I get all of our honey."

Scarlett slowed down. "Wait Amber, how many bees are out here?"

Amber slowly turned around a few steps ahead, jogging in place. "A few, just like any park."

Scarlett walked to a tree on the side of the trail to rest. "Aren't you a little allergic to them?"

"Scarlett, I've been running out here for years and I've never-"

Something under Scarlett's foot went *CRUNCH*
"BZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!"

"AAAAAH!"

Amber and Scarlett ran as a swarm of angry bees flew out of the next Scarlett accidentally crushed.
"What should we do?!"
"Get in the water!"

Amber got close to the stream that ran beneath a bridge under repairs. It wasn't too deep, but it helped her avoid troublesome insects in the past. She was about to belly flop into the water when she heard Scarlett skid on the ground.

"Oooof!"

Amber looked back and saw Scarlett tripping and sliding on the dirt. Scarlett turned to the swarm nervously, trying to push herself further away. "Uuuuh, hi bees? Sorry about your house?"

The swarm of angry insects was taking some sort of attack formation, making a giant fist to attack Scarlett.

Amber closed her eyes, annoyed but not about to let her get stung. "Ugggh, damn it Scarlett." She sprinted over and grabbed her out from under the swarm, and threw Scarlett towards the water. "Hide in there!"

"What about you?!"

"I'll mana-OW!" Amber held her cheek after it was stung. It puffed up to ridiculous sizes instantly.

"Amber!"

"Just stay hidden! I'll be oka-OUCH!" A bee stung Amber's butt, causing it to inflate. Her pink shorts strained to contain her billowing rear end, creaking and stretching with it to ridiculous beach ball proportions and beyond.

"OOOF! AAACK!"

More and more bees stung Amber. With each sting, her body reacted by puffing up. Her tummy billowed out from under her running shirt. Her boobs stretched the top of her shirt and threatened to escape the top. Her legs went from a trim runner's to massive creaking balloons.

Amber was an uber inflated mess, starting to float away on the breeze.

Scarlett was hiding in the water, not quite sure what to do for her girlfriend. "Amber!"

Amber's voice was twisted by her puffed up body. "Stay hidden Scarlett!" They'll lose interest in me once I-"

The swarm took a formation looking like one giant bee, and delivered one final sting to Amber's inflated body. Amber's body scrunched around the point of the swarm's stinger, eyes and curves bulging out further as her body turned transparent, struggling to contain itself.

"AIEEEEEEEEEEE!!"

*BANG*

Amber popped, exploding into tens of scraps of rubbery flesh. She swirled in the breeze, but as she suspected, the bees seemed satisfied their home was avenged and left.

Scarlett slowly got out of the water, watching Amber flutter down to the bridge. She was drenched, wet red hair covering her face. "Wow...Amber babe you didn't need to do that. Are you okay?"

"I'm stuck in something! Get up on the bridge!"

Scarlett hopped over the rails, and discovered the bridge was under construction. There were several large sidewalk tile sized chunks missing, and a wheelbarrow of some thick grey substance next to it.

Naturally Scarlett didn't see it while jumping over, and knocked it over. "Ack! How is that stuff still wet cement?"

As it spilled out, Scarlett saw the mixture swirl into place. As it filled its empty space, rubbery scraps of Amber sank into it, changing the cement's color to match shades of Amber's clothes and light brown hair.

"Amber! I need to, uuuuum..." Scarlett looked around nervously, realizing she did not have a way of retrieving Amber from the cement without getting herself stuck in it.

The cement swirled briefly, before the loud cracking sound of it drying echoed through the woods. Scarlett's shoulders sank looking defeated, waiting for Amber's eyes to appear on the tile.

"Ooooof what happened? Did the bees leave?" The large tile in front of Scarlett finally blinked and started talking.

"Uuuuh Amber? I think the bees did you in more than we thought."

Amber's cement tile shook in place. "I fell in bridge cement didn't I."

"Yup."

Amber's eyes narrowed, angry at herself. "You know, when I said I wanted to stay solid today, this isn't exactly what I had in mind." Amber's tile shook, trying to stand. "Uuuugh I can't get up. I'm wedged in here too tight. Scarlett, can you carry me until I shake this off?"

Scarlett tried to get a grip on the sides of the dirty blond cement block. "Uuuuh are you sure you want me to try that?"

"It's either that or we're going to be even later getting home."

"Oooookaaaaay...HRRRRRRN!" Scarlett's voice was full of uncertainty as she grunted and pulled Amber out. Unfortunately, she was pretty heavy as a giant block of cement. Scarlett stumbled backwards a few steps, trying to stay balanced, before falling backwards.

*SPLAAAAAAAT*

Amber forced Scarlett's body to the ground. She could feel Scarlett's body spreading under her, going from her normal shape to a squishy sheet with a satisfying sound. Amber could even sense the extra squishing from her curves splatting out. As long as she was stuck as concrete, this was fun, but...

"You know, it's muuuuuuch more fun squishing you when I'm normal enough to enjoy it. Can you wiggle out and just shatter me? Just throw water on me to reconstitute?"

Scarlett groaned. Scarlett's hair, hands, and feet were still visible around the edges of the block, twitching from the shock. They were going to be here a while.

Over the next half hour, Scarlett squirmed out from under the cement block. She stretched and struggled, eventually slipping completely out after reaching ten feet of length. She snapped into a small tube and rolled a few feet before stopping against the side walls with a soft *Thunk!* and popping beck to normal.

That left the cement. Scarlett was stuck long enough that Amber was starting to carve herself out on her own. She was shaking and trying to pop back to normal, but she was mixed into the concrete pretty well. She was surrounded by yellow and pink cement dust from her efforts. Her slab body looked less like a solid tile at this point, and was starting to have Amber's features etched into it.

Scarlett admired the forming Amber statue. "Still want the fast way?"

Amber's face looked at Scarlett from the surface of the tile. Her face was actually moving in the stone. "I think I could actually break out of here if you gave me a few more minutes."

Amber waited for Scarlett's mock disappointment face before continuing. "But I guess I owe you one."

"YAAAAY!" Scarlett tossed Amber into the air before quickly stepping out of the way.

*CRSSSSH*

Amber winced upon feeling her body shatter apart. Even if it stung a little, it felt freeing to have pieces of her fly apart in all directions, but the real fun was getting mixed back together. The chunk with her mouth on it smiled at the feeling of Scarlett piling her in one place.

Amber felt water pour across her body, and then Scarlett's hands digging in. She felt bits of her mixing and merging back together, the natural sensations of reforming making her smile, but Scarlett's hands swirling in her goopy body was the best feeling. She wasn't sure exactly where any of her was in Scarlett's hands, but as long as she had to get shattered, she was going to enjoy this. She felt Scarlett forcing her arms through her, stirring and swirling her up into the air over and over again, before letting her collapse back into a gooey blob of her colors. She was lost in ecstasy.

Eventually she felt Scarlett lifting all of her into the air, and pouring her to the ground. Her body instinctively knew how to take its normal shape as it landed. Once she was back on her feet, she gave Scarlett a big hug.

"Mmmmm thanks for mixing me back together! You know I love that you're squishy babe, but maybe we should work on your lifting later so that doesn't take so long."

Scarlett blushed. "Oh, you just want to squish me more."

Amber squeezed Scarlett a little harder, briefly pinching her body enough to squeeze mass away from her waist and expand the rest for the hug. "Maaaaybe. But let's finish this run first."

After some brief stretching, featuring Amber's knees creaking like loose rocks and shedding more cement dust, the ladies continued. The trail continued through the woods, passing a dense patch of trees providing some welcome shade from the morning sun. Scarlett giggled and pointed as they jogged past squirrels and other woodland creatures, some hiding and some singing in the trees. Another few turns in the woods, the trail took went up a hill on the far side of the lake, before turning back towards the parking lot they started in. The ladies stopped at the path's high point, where the trees were clear enough to give them a good view of the water sparkling in the sunlight.

Scarlett needed the break anyway.

They stood on top of the hill, arms around each other's shoulders while taking in the scenery. It was a nice peaceful moment.

"Isn't it beautiful Scarlett? Can you feel that cool breeze from the lake?"

"Yeah, it's great!"

Amber turned and cracked her neck, still working the cement's stiffness out. Her eyes caught a log pile on the side of the road. It looked like the park staff already cut down some of the older rotting trees that didn't survive recent the storms, and piled the logs here for collection later. Some of them looked pretty big and heavy.

Looking back and forth from the logs, to Scarlett looking at the lake, and remembering their recent conversations, Amber decided she did want to squish Scarlett some more.

She gently took her arm off Scarlett's shoulder, and slowly backed away towards the logs. Once she was in position, she called to Scarlett.

"Hey babe, remember you said I just wanted to squish you more?"

"Huh?"

Amber gave the log pile a good kick, sending them rolling towards Scarlett.

"AMBER!"

Scarlett started fleeing down the hill, laughing and playing the part of the terrified runner. She was no where near fast enough.

"HAHAHA! WAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!"

The logs caught Scarlett by the ankle, tripping her. The first logs rolled her flat against the ground, smooshing her legs and her butt wide against the dirt. Her arms were pushing against the ground in front of her, trying to held herself up, while the logs pressed her tummy and chest down. She gave a soft moan from the pressure advancing up her back, the relaxing sensation removing any knots that might have been there. She was rolled out like squishy dough, mass shunting up her body to make her curves just a little bigger before getting smooshed and smeared on the ground. Her body was being left as a wide mess of splattered ink behind her. The logs splatted her head last, making a satisfying blob of red hair on the ground.

By the time the fifth log arrived, Scarlett very flat against the ground. Each extra heavy log that rolled past simply crushed her wider and wider into the trail, the relentless weight squishing and smearing her shorts and shirt around the path.

*SQUIIIISH*

When they had all passed, Amber walked down the Scarlett's ridiculous feet. She was a giant rectangle of Scarlett cloth, covering a ten-by-five foot section of the trail down the hill. Her colors were almost randomly thrown about as if someone threw Scarlett paint cans on the ground.

Amber peeled her flat girlfriend off the trail by what she was pretty sure was her head. "Happy now?"

"Oooof, I think you worked the knots out of my back a little too much."

"Well don't worry." Amber flicked Scarlett off the ground, putting opposite ends of Scarlett in each hand.

"We're going to have fun going down."

Amber jumped, holding Scarlett like a mini parachute glider. Both smiled flying through the wind down the short slope.

"WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"

Amber snapped Scarlett back into shape, and they shared a good laugh. The ladies ran through another kilometer of trail without incident, talking about the crazy ways they could use each other as a glider later. The trails they took through the woods were mostly flat paths, winding through trees near the lake. Amber pointed out the more interesting plants, even if Scarlett was too busy looking for squirrels in the trees, and rabbits in the shrubs.

One such pack of cuddly wild animals was wandering on the ground just around a curve, after a natural stone path through a pond. The water level was a higher than usual because of the recent rains, making passage a little treacherous, but nothing the ladies of the transformation league couldn't handle.

"Ooo!" Scarlett paused to look at the animals, before they realized Scarlett and Amber were the large humans and ran away. She put her hands on her knees while she tried to catch her breath, looking for more cuddly creatures. "Can we take a quick break here?"

Amber was jogging in place while Scarlett caught her breath, but maybe she was right. Scarlett wasn't as used to these long runs as Amber was. "Sure, take five."

"WHEW" Scarlett stopped trying to stand, letting her legs collapse into noodly piles on the ground. They spooled up underneath her, supporting the rest of her body as it flopped down lounging in herself. Her arms flopped around looking deflated too. "I needed that."

Amber laughed at her girlfriend, but took a closer look at the pond. It was overgrown with weeds and other plants. It needed maintenance before the race, but with all the other renovations in the park, this was probably lower priority.

She couldn't shake the feeling that something looked off about the tangle of vines in front of her. She was studying it, and Scarlett was resting in no hurry to get up. They lost track of time. Two more sets of footsteps came to the bridge.

"Hi Amber!"
"Scarlett! Is Amber going too hard on you again?"

Yuki and her teammate Lily from the Ratpack were crossing the bridge, waving a greeting. Lily stood a little taller than Yuki, 5 foot 6 inches to Yuki's 5 foot 2. The Asian woman had long black hair and dark eyes like Yuki, but her face wore a more serious look than her team mate. Where Yuki was happy and bubbly and wearing tight, bright green and blue clothes today, Lily wore a darker outfit: A light, loose fitting, unzipped dark purple sweatshirt with the hood down, long black leggings, a purple headband holding back her hair.

Amber knew Lily could show off more if she wanted to, but she wasn't much of a showoff outside of League functions. She intentionally wore looser clothing to not draw attention to herself.

Scarlett's head turned from on top of herself to stick her tongue out.

Amber smiled and returned the wave. "Hey there! Enjoying a morning in the park too?"

Yuki walked to the end of the bridge, taking in the forest. "Definitely! It's such a nice day!"

Lily kneeled to gaze into the water next to her. "It is beautiful this morning." She swirled a finger in the water before looking up at Amber. "Are you two joining the race next week?"

Amber responded while Scarlett kept resting. "Not us. I think Zoe and Jess are going."

Yuki pouted, trying to look around Amber to Scarlett. "Aw! I was hoping to see some messy Scarlett highlights and-OOF! Hey!"

Lily stood and bopped Yuki on the head, shunting it into her shoulders and briefly inflating her chest with the extra mass. She shook her head, embarrassed by Yuki's statements. "Be nice Yuki."

Yuki shoved her sides together to pop her head out, grumbling "Alright alright!"

Amber just rolled her eyes. "Oh don't worry Yuki. She's going to more events."

"Oh please. I don't make THAT many messes!" Scarlet tried to cross her arms, but needed to tumble her tired out limbs a few times to get there. Everyone laughed at Scarlett's haplessness.

Yuki and Amber said in unison, "Yes you do." They stopped and looked each other in the eye, recognizing the uncoordinated agreement.

Lily smiled and laughed. "Save it for the parties you two." She gave Yuki's elbow a tug. "Well, we should let you two get back to your run. We'll see you soo-"

*SPLASH*

A huge plant, looking like an oversized venus fly trap, emerged from the water. Its head chomped its head a few times, and turned towards Lily and Yuki standing near the lake.

"What the?!"
"Let's get out of here!"

Amber wasn't sure she had ever seen Yuki and Lily run that fast, even in some of the crazier League events. The plant's long stalk let it reach far away from the water though, and even with their speed, it was closing in on Yuki and Lily fast.

*SHLLLLRP*
Scarlett actually managed to pull herself together surprisingly fast in response to the new threat, her limbs slurping back into her body as she found the strength to stand. "Ack! Amber, what should we-...Amber?"

Scarlett didn't see Amber where she was a moment ago. She was already charging towards the plant as it snapped at Yuki.

"Get out of here you oversized weed!"

The plant was closing its jaws around Yuki when Amber charged in, shoulder first. She slammed into the back of it's mouth, sending it flying back to the water, but she disappeared inside it.

"What?!"
"Is she?!"
"Kick its ass babe!"

The plant's head bulged and jerked in every direction. Amber was giving the plant the business, punching it from inside its mouth. Every now and again the plant mouth briefly opened, showing the blobby half chewed up Amber swinging a goopey peach and blond arm, pounding the plant before its head jerked shut again.

This went on for a minute, until the plant finally had enough. It gave a strange alien roar, and spat a large Amber colored nut to the ground next to Scarlett. Not interested in finding a meal that fights back, it disappeared back into the murky water.

Yuki and Lily walked over to where Scarlett was sitting. "Wow, that was close."
"Yeah, I didn't expect Amber to do that."

Scarlett pushed the stop button on her phone, the recording finished. "That's why I love her!"

She took out a water bottle, and dumped it on the basketball sized seed. It rumbled and shook, then sprouted roots the same color as Amber's shoes. The top cracked open, and a long dark yellow stem with pink leaves shot into the air. Dirty blond flower petals emerged, bursting into a flower with Amber's face in the middle.

"MMMmmmmmm! I did it!"

Amber stretched her leaves and smiled, before realizing Yuki and Lily were staring at her. "I mean, we were here to look at nature right?"

Everyone laughed. "Sorry about the trouble ladies. I'll make sure the park rangers take care of this soon, 5K or not. In the mean time..."

She turned towards Scarlett.

"I think I'm a dangerous plant."

Yuki and Lily giggled and ran away. "Ah! See you two later!"

Scarlett laughed, throwing her arms open as if she was about to get a hug. "Ooooh nooooooo!"

Amber's mouth opened impossibly wide for hew flower head, and chomped Scarlett.

"YAAAAAAAHBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBL"
*SPLOOOOOOSH*

Scarlett burst in Amber's jaws like a water balloon, scattering red and blue goop everywhere. Amber made a mess of her, chewing her up, showing off the red goop stretching between her lips while Scarlett squeed loudly inside. Amber ducked and searched the ground for more Scarlett, making sure she sucked up every last drop, then started blowing bubbles with Scarlett. The red orbs with Scarlett's face would grow to twice the size of her flowery face, before bursting with a loud, satisfying

"Eeeeeeeeeeee!"

Eventually, Amber spat out Scarlett and let her pull herself together. Amber had her fun as a plant, but it was hot out. She was actually wilting a little.

Scarlett put a hand on the wilting head of the plant. "Hey babe, you okay?"

Amber looked at her. "I think so? I need to snap out of this, but I'm feeling pretty drained."

They stood for a moment, trying to think of their next move.

"Hey Scarlett? We're pretty close to the parking lot. Can you bring the bucket from the car? I think that plant took more out of me than I thought."

Scarlett nodded, and ran faster than she had all day. She was back in a few minutes with the bucket, and placed it in front of the plant.

Amber's stalk and plant head collapsed into the bucket with a loud *THUD*. She spoke as if she was drifting to sleep. "Thanks babe. Can you...get...us...home?"

The head of the plant was already turning to mush. Bits of the stalk were snapping as they fell apart into a dirty blond mess in the bucket.

Scarlett made sure she uprooted the rest of Amber, which was also starting to fall apart from fatigue. The roots splashed into the rest of Amber, and dissolved into a bumpy mess of goop.

"Ooooh we're going to have fun tonight!" Scarlett picked up the bucket of her girlfriend, and started running back to the car.

Amber bubbled back weekly. "Don't get to excited. I'm pretty tired."

Scarlett snickered. "After the log piles though? I think I get to snuggle up in you tonight!"

If it was possible for a puddle to blush, Amber did in her bucket. She had to bring Scarlett to the park with her more often.
