Jessica pulled her chair up to the big game table. She adjusted the reference screen in front of her, inspected her bag of dice, and opened some files on her laptop. The other ladies were already seated, eating snacks, with dice and paper in front of them.
Once Jessica had everything in place, she began. "Okay, I think we're ready. Does everyone remember what happened last time?"
Scarlett grinned. "We just dealt with some thief assassin ninjas, who told us they were sent by some noble."
Amber chimed in. "The one with the mansion near the docks on the edge of town, right?"
Jess nodded. "Yes. Your investigation into the stolen chalice is getting too close, and it seems the thief is on to you. As you suspected, the assassins claim the Dutchess, Lady Whatsherface, was behind it. Now she's out to get you, trying to clean up her mess before the people find out she is even less noble than they thought."
Zoe grinned "Guess we'll have to turn her into a poster first. Shall we head to the docks."
Scarlett and Amber spoke in unison. "Yeah!"
* * *
Jessica smiled and put a map on the table. The picture on it had a generic wood floor, barrels, and crates. The other ladies placed miniature figures on the it. They mostly looked like themselves, only equipped with gear so show they were fantasy characters.
Scarlett was playing an alchemist, wearing tight leather armor, bristling with bombs and potions to help with sneaky situations.
Amber was playing a barbarian, also wearing light armor, wielding a big hammer.
Zoe, true to herself, was playing the scantily clad sorceress. She wore a coat that barely reached her waist, a tube top, short skirt, and a classic witch hat, all in black.
Jess set the scene for their approach. "Alright. So taking the assassin's words as true, you go to the pier where the entrance should be located. You discover two guards in cheap breastplates and dingy helmets, wielding spears on their patrol. They're trying to look like they're watching the whole area, but your observations show they pass by a specific group of barrels much more often than anywhere else. What are you going to do about this."
Zoe snapped her fingers. "We could just zap them."
Scarlett laughed "Nah, save the magic."
Amber pounded her fist. "Just squish everyone and throw them out to sea."
There were laughs around the table. Jess looked over some notes before responding. "The direct approach then. Let's see some rolls."
There were cheers and groans around the table. "Okay, so..."
* * *
The group sneaked behind some crates, trying to stay out of sight. When the two guards passed each near the otherwise unremarkable barrels, the ladies struck.
Amber casually walked out from their hiding spot and approached the guards, hammer slung over her shoulder. "Hello girls. Bored?"
Their heads jerked towards Amber's voice. When they spotted her, their eyes opened wide with surprise. They brandished their spears at her.
"That's one of them!"
"Her friends must be nearby too!"
"Get them!"
They moved in and tried to stab Amber. They were clearly rookies. The jabs were very deliberate, too telegraphed, and most weren't even close to hitting her. Amber swatted them aside easily, spun her hammer around, and
*WHAM!*
*CRUNCH*
Squished the first guard to the ground, reducing her to a 6 foot pancake. You couldn't even see her eyes under the helmet, though bits of skin escaped near the edges of her flattened armor.
Amber turned towards her remaining opponent with a fierce glint in her eye. "You're next!"
"Uuuh I think I forgot I had a date tonight, gotta run bye!" She ran past Amber, unknowingly towards the others.
Scarlett gave Zoe a pat on the shoulder. "They look like chumps. I think I can handle this." She took out her quarterstaff.
Zoe raised an eyebrow. "With just your staff? No firebombs?"
Scarlett winked. "Waste not."
She jumped out from behind the crates, brandishing her quarterstaff. "That was pathetic. Are you new here?"
"Ack!" The guard jumped in surprise, and lashed out in desperation.
"Hah!" Scarlett deflected the guard's first two stabs, both of them as wild as her friend's. Unfortunately, an Alchemist's combat skills were not as good as Amber's.
*POING*
*POP*
"Ouch!"
*PTSSsssssssssss*
The spear pierced Scarlett's shoulder, and air rushed out of her. She grabbed the wound, but could not stop herself from deflating. Her arm and legs started shriveling up.
"Whaaaah no!"
The guard grinned, and bopped Scarlett on the head with the putt end of the spear, crumpling her head into her deflating body.
"Ooof!" Scarlett's legs wobbled and spooled up on the ground. Her arms flopped to the ground, and her her torso crumpled on the floor. Her top half folded back while the rest fell forward, folding on itself, as the last of the air escaped her chest.
The guard lifted her spear, her confidence renewed. "Hah! I got one!"
"Yup, one. She was my friend though. Shame I have to avenge her."
The guard slowly turned around, a look of dread on her face. Amber was less than five feet behind her, hammer wound up for a big baseball swing.
*CRUUUUNCH*
The hammer crashed in to the hapless patroller, sending her flying access the pier head first towards a large shipping crate. Her body crunched and collapsed into itself on impact. She was briefly a five foot steel pancake before bouncing off the wall, shrinking her down into a small can clattering around on the ground, with a picture of her on the label.
Zoe laughed and walked over to the can. She tapped the side a few times, then picked it up to examine the canned woman. "Poor thing. Think she knows how to get out of that?"
Amber walked over to the deflated Scarlett, and worked on patching her up. "I guess you can let her out. Just follow the directions."
Zoe examined the can. "Shake will before opening? Really?" Amber shrugged.
Zoe shook up the guard while Amber blew up Scarlett. After a few seconds, Zoe turned the can upside down and opened her up. Tan goo cascaded out of the can to the floor, muttering a weak "uuuuugh" as she puddled on the ground. Zoe gave it one more shake to make sure she got all of her out, and her spear clattered.
"Hmm, looks like she's past her expiration date. Now what?"
Amber was puffing up Scarlett. Another limb expanded back to normal size with each huff. Once Scarlett's head popped back into shape, Amber responded. "I think Scarlett finds us an entrance."
Scarlett rubbed her head. "Whoa...thanks Amber. Where are the barrels again? I'll take a look, there's no way they didn't put something on them for protection."
"Hang on, I never get to do this!" Zoe walked past them towards the barrels. "Let's see if I can sense any magic here." She waved her arms over the barrels, contorting her face, anxious to sense whatever magic might be hiding the entrance.
"Nothing?" Zoe pouted and circled around the barrels, determined to find anything that would hint at the entrance.
"Well?" Amber asked, tapping her foot.
"Nothing! I don't get it. I've never had this problem before." She turned her back on the barrels, and pounded her fist against one's side.
*SHWIP*
*POING*
"YOWCH!"
*SLAM*
A needle shot out of the barrel, stabbing Zoe's plush rear end. The shock sent her straight up into the platform above them, squishing her into a neat pancake of sorceress.
"I'll help you-whoooah!" Scarlett ran over to help Zoe down, and saw straight up Zoe's skirt. It did not leave much to the imagination.
Amber caught Scarlett before she fainted. "Okay cutie, calm down. We can't have you melting through the boards. Now..." She reached up and peeled Zoe off the ceiling.
Amber turned the floppy pancake so Zoe could see everyone. It was like staring at a 2 foot cutout of Zoe's face with a flat hat on top.
"Ooof! What even hit me?"
Scarlett snapped herself out of it, and pointed to the needle. "Looks like you triggered some kind of trap. Stop thinking everything is magic when you rush in!"
Zoe pouted. "Okay hot shot, so where's the entrance?"
"Hmmmm..." Scarlett studied the barrels a little longer. "What if..."
She lifted the lid off the barrel next to the one that stabbed Zoe. Inside was a ladder leading down to a dimly lit passage below.
Zoe pouted. "Show off"
Amber grabbed both ends of Zoe and pulled. She stretched into a long paper folded version of herself, before popping back to her normal shape.
Amber sighed. "Now who's showing off."
"Come on ladies," interrupred Scarlett, "don't make it so I'm the only one climbing down." The others looked, and Scarlett's head was the only part of her not already in the barrel. She winked, and continued climbing down.
* * *
Scarlett got up from the table. "Okay, I need to grab a snack, but what's down the barrel ladder?"
Jessica clicked around her notes and started reading. "You climb down the ladder to a strange passage under the docks. It's lined with greenish-grey bricks, dimly lit by the occasional torch extending several feet before ending at a corner. The whole place and smells strange, your best description for it is frozen brimstone."
Amber idly tapped her fingers. "I guess we go that way."
"Okay."
"Hey wait a minute." Scarlett called from the kitchen. "Shouldn't one of us be sneaking ahead to see what's around that corner."
"Are you looking?"
Scarlett hurried back and rolled some dice. "Yes."
Jess looked at the result and smiled. "Around the corner, you see a fiendish looking creature with horns and a pointed tail. Unlike most devils you've heard of, this one's not red, but icy blue. It is pacing around in front of a large door, body surrounded by a cold mist that gives you chills even where you are around the corner. It doesn't seem to have noticed you yet."
Amber grinned and pounded the table. "Then let's surprise another enemy!"
* * *
Amber looked to her allies. "Watch this."
She cracked her neck and stretched her legs to prepare. She knew these creatures were powerful, so she had to strike fast and furious.
She lifted her hammer, turned the corner, and charged. "AAAAHHHHH!!!"
Amber swung. The devil tried to dodge
*TINK*
The hammer took its horns clean off, but the rest of the devil's body was unharmed.
"HEY! I liked those horns! Stupid humans!"
Amber grinned. "I won't miss again!" It wasn't a smushed devil, but she at least did something to it. She took a step back and prepared another charge.
"HAH! You wish!" The devil spewed a mist that contained the essence freezing cold towards Amber.
Amber's body was instantly coated in ice, her body quickly changing color to ice blue. Her feet froze, losing all traction. She slipped, flying into the air, and landed on her back.
"WHAAAH!"
*TINK!*
The hall echoed with the sound of ice on stone as Amber bounced around like a hockey puck. She was coated in enough ice to slide towards the door. Her body turned bluer, her windmilling arms creaking as they froze into place. Bits of frozen warrior broke off as she bounced slid down the passage, her foot against on the left wall, a forearm against the right. Cracks were spreading through her as she clattered to her fate against the door.
*CRRRSSSSSHHHHH*
Amber's body exploded into a blizzard of icy shards, ice shards flying everywhere. The devil caught two of the larger pieces of Amber out of the air, placed them on its head, and molded them to replace its horns. It studied its reflection in the ice along the wall, making some final adjustments.
"Ah, that's better. Now, I'm sure she wasn't alone..."
Zoe and Scarlett looked at each other without making a noise. They knew they needed to act fast, or they would join their frozen friend. Scarlett scrambled to dig through her alchemy pouch before Zoe grasped her hand.
She winked.
The devil plodded loudly towards the corner, smelling its prey. It stopped when Zoe walked out. The fiend growled at the sorceress. "Tsk Tsk. I bet you think you're hot stuff with that outfit. I think you need to cool it."
Zoe rolled her eyes. They were starting to glow red. "Please, do you know how well I clean up wearing this?"
Zoe took a mock sexy pose, giving the devil a profile view and sticking her chest out. She extended an arm towards the creature, and a red aura surrounded her. Fire flew from her hand.
*FWWOOOOOOOOSH*
*HIIIIISSSSSSSSS*
"AAAACK! What have you blblblblbbb"
The flames made short work of the ice devil. Its body melted fast, sinking to the ground, unable to hold any meaningful shape. It's whole body spread out against the floor, bubbling in the heat. When the flames cleared, a misshapen torso and head sat on top of a watery puddle of melted devil.
The ice devil was, at best, now a devil slushy.
Zoe walked up to her foe. "*Sigh* Everyone always melts too fast around me." She stomped the rest of the fiend until it was an unrecognizable pile of slush.
Scarlett came out of hiding, and high fived Zoe. "Nice work!" She walked to the door to inspect Amber. "Uuuuh, Zoe? Can we fix this?"
Zoe looked grimly at the pile of crushed ice before them. Some Amber melted in the fireball, giving the ice a slight dirty blond coloration. "Hmmm, I think I can thaw her out to help her recover, but it will take time. We need to hurry up before it's too late!"
Scarlett inspected the door. She didn't see anything dangerous, so she tried to open it. "It won't open. Let me look at the lock..."
While Scarlett got out her tools, Zoe was maintaining a small fire in front of her hands to melt more of the Amber ice, occasionally boiling the melted devil just to be sure. "Any luck?"
"This lock is good." Scarlett looked under the door. There was maybe an inch of space between the door and the floor. She could see light on the other side. Hold on, I've got something for these situations." Scarlett reached into her sack and pulled out a green vial.
Zoe raised an eyebrow. "What's that one do?"
Scarlett drank the bottle. "Liquid form. Lasts for about a minute."
That got Zoe's attention. "Wait, that's a thing? Oh is that what you were working on last week?"
Scarlett raised her arms over her head, and started wiggling like she was shimmying down a tube. Her legs swirled around themselves on the floor as they went gooey. She gasped when her butt splashed down, expanding the puddle on the floor.
She blushed. "It wasn't 100% intended for exploration use, so there are some kinks to work out...Ooooooh that feels nice on my back."
Scarlett leaned back as more of her dissolved in the puddle. She had to spread out a lot to squeeze under the door, and she was already past her waist. She opened up her arms, both making a satisfying splat on the ground as they because peachy puddles. Her leather clad chest sunk in last, her head already bubbling with bliss as her boobs oozed away.
Zoe was staring. "Honestly, I'm kinda jealous. You need to make one of those for me later." She looked to the side, and blasted the devil puddle one more time for good measure.
A face formed on top of the peach and brown puddle and winked again, before Scarlett flowed to the door. Bits of her scrunched up against the narrow passage, but soon she was through.
* * *
Jessica turned away from her notes. "Alright. You hear a click, and Scarlett opens the door, while Zoe finishes getting Amber back together. On the other side is a large room with bits of furniture. There are side tables with candles, a nice couch, and two doors."
Amber scratched her chin. "Where are the doors?"
"One to your left and one to your right."
Zoe looked around. "Alright, let's look at the left door."
* * *
The ladies walked to the west door. Scarlett approached first, examining the door and listening for anything useful.
Amber walked up behind her. "Do you hear anything on the other side?"
Scarlett pressed her head against the door. "There's something here. It sounds like...slithering?"
*SLAM*
The door flew open, and Scarlett disappeared behind it. Two lamias slithered through, human from the waist up with blond ponytails, and violet-red scaled snake tails from the waist down. They both wore small leather tops that barely contained their boobs, and had scimitars in both hands.
The door creaked and swung shut, revealing a very rectangular Scarlett poster. Her big square eyes pleaded with her friends to help her down. "Ow..."
Amber reacted to the new threat immediately, bringing her hammer down on the nearest lamia's head. "Yaaaaaaaaah!"
*BOINK*
The snake girl's head disappeared into her breasts, her blond ponytail sticking out the top. The added mass grew her chest enough to spill over the top of her shirt. Unfortunately, it did nothing to squish the rest of her. She started thrashing.
Amber tried to dance around it, but found herself caught in the lamia's long tail. "What the???"
Feeling her prey, the lamia paused its efforts to restore its head, and wrapped herself around the warrior. Amber felt herself getting squished, parts of her getting forced through gaps in the tail's coils. Her head was getting bigger from her body getting squished in every direction, a hand was growing impossibly large along the sides, and bits of her skin tone was oozing over the snake's scales. Amber was losing her fight to not get squished.
"Ack...too...strong..."
The lamia grunted, and squeezed with her coiled tail.
*SQUOOOOOSH*
Amber's body gave up, oozing through the lamia coils constricting her. Bits of her splattered through and puddled on the floor, leaving snake girl's scales dripping with human goop. The lamia uncoiled and whipped her tail aside, revealing a comically narrow Amber. She looked at herself, realized she had nothing left to hold her up, and collapsed to the floor as a pile of pulped warrior.
Scarlett looked at the still headless lamia that just made short work of their tank. "Oh no. Gotta get off the wall. Hhhhnnnn!"
*POP*
Restored to three dimensions, she started digging through her pack. "Uh oh. Uuuuh...I think I have something useful in here? Ah ha!"
The lamia was wriggling to the side, squishing her chest trying to pop her head out, when Scarlett produced a bottle containing a clear concoction. The snake girl's attention was drawn to the clanking glass, but by the time she restored her head, Scarlett already had her shot lined up.
She hurled the bottle. "Tag, knot it!"
*wooooosh!*
"WHAAAAAAA!"
Scarlett's throw had deadly accuracy, the glass shattering on the lamia's chest. The snake girl was lifted off the ground, surrounded by an orb of ravaging wind. She flailed, searching for some kind of stability, but the wind would not allow it. Her body was stretched and twisted in seemingly random directions, becoming more of a blur of redish purple scales.
When the wind died down, a spinning knot of snake tail hung spinning in the air, with the lamia's arms and head sticking out of the giant knot at impossible angles. Her rotation slowed, and she dropped to the floor, bouncing around.
Scarlett walked towards the helpless creature and took out her staff. She looked at the swirls in the snake girls eyes, and swung.
*WHAM*
The lamia flew into the wall, splatting into a 2 foot pancake of snake scales, more resembling celtic art than a monster girl.
The remaining lamia was clearly unhappy about this. It screamed, and charged Scarlett with her swords.
"Meep!"
*SHWP*SHWP*SHWP*
The flurry of blades cut clean through Scarlett's armor. She raised an arm belatedly to defend herself, and watched it fall to the ground. She took a step back, and her front leg detached and remained in place.
"Well Zoe", she said as more pieces fell from her hips, "I guess it's up to you." Scarlett's other leg fell over, sending the rest of her toppling to the floor. When her butt hit the ground, Scarlett shattered into a hundred pieces, bits of alchemist bouncing around as if she was rubber. Her eyes came to rest last, blinking and bouncing in the middle of the collection.
Zoe stretched her arms and cracked her knuckles. "Alright, I guess we can play. Be a dear and come over, I have something to share with you."
The lamia smiled, "Oh, you are a cute one. Mmmmm." She licked her lips and barred her fangs before darting towards Zoe. Before she could cast a spell, the monster girl sunk her fangs into Zoe's exposed flesh.
Zoe stumbled back. "Whoa...no biting on the first date."
With each step, her legs grew heavier. Her feet began sticking to the floor, strands of black goo stretching from her boots to the floor with each step, as she succumbed to the lamia's venom. Her legs became wobbly, losing the strength to hold her up or retain their shape. Zoe didn't so much fall to the floor as her legs collapsed into goopy puddles. They were two pillars of melting sorceress, and her body was cascading down them.
"Whhhoooooa!" Zoe's body swirled to the ground, her head and boobs spreading our over the top of her gooey body.
The lamia looked down at her sorceress dessert. "You know, you still look tasty. I think I need a drink." She leaned over, getting ready to slurp up Zoe.
The lamia licked a bit of Zoe and smiled. "MMMM! You are sweet!" She was preparing to drink up in earnest when she heard a sparking sound.
The Zoe puddle was crackling with electricity. It bubbled as Zoe's voice spoke. "You know the hand waving is for show, right?"
*BBBBBBZZZZZZZZ*
The lamia's body straightened out head to tail from the electricity jolting through her. Her lips remained anchored to Zoe, her tail was almost touching the ceiling. Her skeleton visibly flashed through her body.
She remained suspended in the air when the spell ended. The monster had scorch marks across her body, and her hair was a frazzled mess.
"Oooooow."
Sapped of her strength, the lamia's body disintegrated from her tail to her head, falling into a pile of pink and peach dust on the floor.
Her swords clattered to the floor, and then the room was silent.
* * *
Jessica smiled, reviewing notes and rolling her dice some more.
"Okay Amber, you manage to restore yourself first. I'm assuming you make sure my snake girls don't get a chance to restore themselves while you help your friends?"
"You don't have to suggest that twice."
Zoe grinned "I dunno Amber, you sure you don't want to play with them some more? I think you were her main squeeze."
Everyone laughed. "Nah, I think Scarlett had them wrapped around her finger."
More laughs and groans. Eventually, they ran out of jokes, and Jessica continued. "Alright. You restore yourselves, and examine the squished and disintegrated snake girls. They're still wiggling a little trying to pull themselves together, but you discover one has a key with a reptile head."
"Cool!"
Scarlett points to the unopened door on the other side of the lobby. "What was in the other room?"
"Do you want to look?"
"...Yes?"
Jess reviewed her notes, "You check out the door, and when you enter, it's just storage. It's a big room, but nothing dangerous that you can see. There's a sack on the desk that has 100 gold and two potions."
Amber raised her fists in front of herself, excited about her find. "Oooo, what are they?" She rolled some dice.
"One enlarge, and one gaseous form."
"Squeeee!"
Jessica let the ladies work out who would carry what before continuing. "You mess with the lamias one more time before walking down the other hall. After about 30 feet, it ends with a locked door."
Amber shrugged. "Try the key?"
"It works."
"We go in."
"Inside is a much larger room, probably 50 feet across and 30 feet high. You also see the stolen chalice. Next to it are two women. One is dressed in a formal gown..."
All three of Jessica's players shouted, "The duchess!"
"Yup, that's her. The other is in robes similar to Zoe's, but you recognize the symbols on it as a the traditional outfit of a conjurer."
Jess put down a mini that looked remarkably like herself, with elf ears, and a dark purple witch outfit.
* * *
Amber stepped forward. "Return the chalice!"
The Duchess scoffed. "As if I would ever do that! I'm not sure how you found us, but there's no way you're getting this back." She picked up the chalice, and turned to her underling. "Take care of this!"
"Yes, my mistress."
The Duchess snapped her fingers. Hey buddy exploded into a million particles of dust matching her colors, and zoomed past the ladies out of sight down the passageways.
Zoe sighed. "Damn teleport spells."
"Oh, don't worry ladies, I'm sure we can find someone to play with!" The nameless evil underling represented by Jess's mini slammed her staff to the floor. The ladies raised their arms to shield then from the bright light shooting up from the floor. When the light faded, a huge T-Rex was standing before them.
"Oh..."
"Fuck..."
"Uuuuh, any ideas?"
Scarlett reached into her pack. "I think I can throw that high? Yah!" She heaved several small stones into the dinosaur's face, each exploding with bright light on impact.
"RAAAAAWR!"
The beast stomped around in anger, unable to see anything. Evil Jess screamed, "No! They're over there! Go that way!"
The beast stumbled as commanded, but without true purpose. The ladies scattered as the beast spun in circles, trying to sense its prey, whipping its tail all over.
Zoe and Amber ducked out of the way, but
*WHAM!*
*SQUIIIIIIISH*
"WHHHAAAAAAAAA-OOOOOOOFF!"
The tail caught Scarlett in the gut and slammed her into the wall, squishing her against it. The tail kept spinning, smearing her right side. Scarlett was a smiling wide half poster, and half random array of colors.
Amber was standing up to inspect the damage. "Scarlett, are you okay?"
"Sorry girls, I'm going to need a minute." Scarlett tugged her good arm off the wall, and started peeling off the rest of her.
"OOOOOOOOOOH!"
Her intact half fell off completely off, leaving her smeared side on the wall. The crumpled Scarlett sheet on the floor was groaning as her other half started dripping down.
Amber yelled while helping Zoe up. "Scarlett, you can enjoy getting splattered later! Pull yourself together."
The dinosaur eventually did stop spinning. It blinked, vision finally returning. It looked around , searching for its targets, growling in anger.
Amber stared at the problem. "It's way too big to squish. What do we...Wait a second. Zoe, do you have the potion we just found?"
Zoe pulled out the enlarge potion. "You mean this one?"
Amber grabbed it, uncorked it, and drank it in one gulp. "Yup!"
Amber's gut rumbled. She turned to the T-Rex, pulling in her arms to harness the building feeling inside her. Her body started to bulge, every muscle filling with more mass, until
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!"
Amber's body experienced a growth spurt, exploding to three times her usual size, though some bits got bigger than others.
Zoe looked up and grinned. "I should give you these more often. You should really consider wearing underwear."
Amber winked at her. "Enjoy the show. I need to go wrestle a dinosaur."
The beast looked confused, seeing its now giant sized adversary. It whipped its tail around again, actually seeing its opponent, but Amber caught it. She tried to swing it around, but the dino stood its ground.
It was an even strength fight.
Amber moved closer and started grappling with the beast. She danced with it, dodging it's short armed claws while trying to do anything to it. She was getting angry and frustrated at the lack of progress.
"DAMN DINOSAUR, WHY DON'T YOU WANT A HUG?!"
Amber harnessed the rage filling her. Muscles bulged again with raw power as her training pumped them up. Her steps and punches started cracking the walls and floor as Amber stomped around. The Rex avoided her grasp at first, but eventually stumbled on a crack in the floor.
Amber was not going to let this opportunity pass. Her muscles flared again as she put her hands on top of the beast, and pushed it down towards the ground.
*SMUUUUSH*
The dinosaur's legs couldn't hope to support the pressure of an enlarged enraged Amber, and started to mush up on the floor. It tried to stand, but it's body was slowly crunching like cheap armor. It roared as it struggled, but it could do nothing but slow its squish.
Evil Jess was not happy about this turn of events. "No! Here my pet, get up!"
She touched the dinosaur, and its muscles bulged too. With its new strength, it popped its crushed legs up from the floor, undoing Amber's damage, and knocking her off balance.
"Whhhhooooa!"
The beast licked its lips.
*CHOMP*
Amber's top half disappeared into the Dinosaur's mouth, leaving a row of gooey teeth marks across her waist. Her legs stumbled around without direction, before they tripped and splattered into an uncontrolled mess of Amber.
Zoe, almost finished collecting both halves of Scarlett, watched the carnage. "Amber!"
The dinosaur chewed and chewed, before blowing a bubble with Amber's face. "Little help ladieAAAAAH!" *POP!*
Zoe finished putting Scarlett back together. "Okay, that's not good. I have one idea, but I don't like it. Do you have anything else in there?"
"Um, some alchemist fire, but not THAT much." Scarlett pointed at the Dinosaur, emphasizing its size.
Zoe shrugged. "Keep it ready I guess." The Dino looked at them, blowing one more Amber bubble before stepping towards them.
Zoe waved her arms frantically, panic casting. "Uuuuuuuh, Charm?!"
The beast was inches from chomping a second dust bunny, its teeth still coated with chewed up Amber, but it stopped. It's breath was awful, and Zoe has to resist succumbing to the toxic scent.
"Whoa...wow that breath stings..." She shook her head and stood up straight, before smiling and leaning into the beast's cheek. "BUT YOU'RE SO CUTE! Aren't you dear? Aaaaw!"
Zoe nuzzled the dinosaur, massaging its cheek, and the beast nuzzled her back. Little bits of Zoe rubbed off on the dinosaur as she dealt with the stench breath, but she couldn't worry about that. She had to befriend the beast.
Evil Jess stomped in the corner. "What?! No! It can't be! I'm the best summoner amongst the troops! How did you?!"
Zoe caressed the dinosaur's head. "Hey big guy? Could you spit out my friend and go squish her?"
The dino obliged, opening it's jaws and dropping the mess of enlarged gooey Amber right on Zoe's head.
Zoe stood there as Amber dripped around her, much of her flowing right down Zoe's shirt. "Ack, wait until we get home to go exploring in there!"
Amber's lower half started instinctively flowing towards Zoe to reform, but the T-Rex ran towards Evil Jess.
"What?! No! Noooooo!"
"SQQQUUUUIIIIIIIIIIIIISH*
She was splattered on the floor between the Dinosaur's foot. The beast jumped up and down a few times for good measure, making a bigger mess of the enemy summoner. Zoe's new dinosaur even raked its toe claws through Evil Jess a few times, just to make sure she wasn't restoring herself any time soon. A messy splat of purple and brown goo was all that remained of the summoner.
Zoe parted the huge blob of reforming Amber to give the dinosaur one more rub on the cheek. "Who's a good monster? WHO'S A GOOD MONSTER?"
It growled it's approval, before it poofed, the cloud of its colors disappearing as it returned to where ever it came from.
* * *
Zoe leaned back and put her feet on the table, accepting the pats on the back from Amber and Scarlett.
"Now Jess, my only request for next time, is that we figure out how to keep my new pet around."
Jessica laughed "Sure, I think we can figure something out."
"But what about the Duchess?" Scarlett looked mildly concerned. "Shouldn't we try to find her?"
Jessica pointed at the fallen mini on the table. "Oh, I think you can find someone that knows what happened to her."
"So, next week we do this again?"
"Yup! Now where are the rest of the dumplings?"
