Helped by Mayleen and Hannah, some of the other nurses managed to get the fuming Annick into a wheelchair. Hannah was able to push it and gave in to Annick's demands that they scour the surrounding area for any sight of her legs. Eventually, after uselessly looking in rooms and searching up and down corridors, even Annick had to admit that it was futile. Her legs had gone!
"Lucky I put those awful peg legs I had once in the prosthetics store" Annick muttered bitterly. "Grrr I hate wearing those things!"
