In Professor Leoda’s expert opinion, the best way to play with her dolls was to simply… let them loose. She much preferred sitting back and enjoying a show over the tedious effort of manipulating them. It could never work with old-fashioned inanimate dolls, but Leoda had long since graduated to a much more impressive kind of toy.

The living dolls before her now were young women, a nineteen-year-old Filipina snoop and her slightly older brunette friend. Kiana and Judith, Leoda’s two current favorites. They stood before Leoda, pressed up against each other and giving no sign they were aware of any presence other than their own. Their lips were locked together and their arms wandered each other’s bodies.

Leoda never tired of watching two dolls ebb and flow together. In one moment Kiana would be pressing forward, pushing herself up with her toes to match her fellow toy’s more impressive height and take the lead in the kiss. Seconds later Judith would respond in kind, matching Kiana’s force or twisting around in place. Occasionally one would leave the other’s mouth to trail kisses and harmless bites onto their neck. And all this happened while two pairs of hands would find purchase under the blazers and plaid skirts of their matching schoolgirl costumes.

Several weeks had passed since Leoda ensnared Kiana. The sexy snoop had been so full of fire in those early days, eyes alight with indignant rage and a steadily growing terror that she her eyes would soon be as blank as her friend’s. Now she had been brought to heel and those fears were a reality. Leoda the Dollmaker had successfully tamed Kiana into a good girl who was totally compliant to her whims.

And of course dear Judith already was a good girl. Leoda took the athletic, defiant brunette several months before Kiana and used her as bait to lure the snoop in. Her time being remade into an obedient doll served as a model for how to handle Kiana. Both these girls had been mindlessly, unrelentingly resistant before Leoda dug far enough into their silly minds to put them under her spell and show them the error of their ways.

Leoda smirked and raised her mug of hot cocoa to her lips. It was a chilly Saturday afternoon in late November, caught between the edge of autumn and the early onset of winter. Outside the cozy warmth of her home Leoda knew the frosty air would sting and bite and sting in a way that she, who had been born and raised in Caribbean Haiti, had never imagined until she actually came here. Leoda hated the cold, but loved staying inside from it, warming herself with both modern heating and the excitement of playing with her dolls.

There was a change, a shift in the momentum of the dolls’ intense kiss. Kiana and Judith were sinking, first to their knees, then to their sides. Leoda leaned forward in her seat, cocoa forgotten as her toys writhed about on the carpet. Their entire bodies–entwining legs, wandering hands, beautiful hair, everything–were there for her to see.

Then there was another shift as the two rolled. Kiana was suddenly atop Judith, her dark hair falling to hide both their faces. Leoda was treated to the sight of her Filipina doll’s rump only half hidden by her skirt, and by the continued sounds of her dolls’ efforts beneath that curtain of hair. But she knew it was time for a change.

Leoda, chuckling, drifted her gaze down to the knee-high socks both of the toy’s wore as part of their costumes. The professor loved to see a nice pair of tight socks or hose wrapped around a shapely leg. But there was another sight she loved even more.

“Kiana, darling. I think it’s time you give your friend’s feet some more attention. And shame on you for hiding your lovely faces from your owner!” Leoda was smiling, and there was no bite to her admonishment. “Make sure I can see you while you’re performing.”

No word or sound of affirmation came from Kiana. She simply moved, pulling her head away from Judith’s and coming to her knees before turning around, never quite leaving her straddling position on the brunette’s waist.

Her face and eyes were blank as always, totally expressionless. Leoda’s smile grew.

Kiana leaned forward, her two hands coming to rest on Judith’s right leg. The girl on the ground held still, laying there like a real doll for Kiana to play un-dress up with her. And play she did. Kiana’s hands slid down the white girl’s leg until they dug under her sock and oh-so-slowly pushed them down and down and further down. Her lips were inches away from Judith’s toes when the sock was finally gone. Long seconds passed as Kiana’s tongue emerged to caress the manicured little digits.

Leoda set her cocoa aside. She hadn’t sipped from it in some time anyway.

Years of training dolls had made Kiana’s training progress quickly. That progress was clear to see as Kiana gently slid her tongue back and forth across Judith’s toes and then, one by one, nibbled at each of them. Another moment passed before she went further, taking first three, then four, and finally all five of her fellow toy’s toes into her mouth so the faint sounds of worshipful sucking could fill the air.

“Good girl,” Leoda breathed. “Veeerry good girl.”

Kiana gave no sign that she heard the Dollmaker’s words. She only continued her work on her friend’s right foot. At the same time, her left hand came to Judith’s other leg to pull that sock down. When it was gone Kiana took her mouth from Judith’s toes and licked the brunette’s feet, both the top and as much of the soles as she could reach without hiding her face.

Commands given to a doll lasted until they were countermanded.

When the left foot was fully free of its fuzzy covering Kiana seamlessly moved to it in the space of one lick. Then she was paying attention to the less touched of Judith’s two bottom extremities until those toes were enveloped in her mouth as the others were before.

Leoda didn’t know how long she let this smoldering sight last. Only that she enjoyed every second of it. Her playroom and the dolls in front of her were Leoda’s entire world. She thought nothing of the cold outside, or her duties at the university, or her business selling dolls like Kiana and Judith to the highest bidder. All that existed was right in front of her.

“That’s enough of that for now girls. Stand up. Both of you.”

Their motions were smooth and graceful. In a flash the two were standing at attention, their hands folded neatly in front of their skirts, their hair mussed up from their time on the ground. Leoda took a moment to remember them as they were when they arrived. Defiant and cursing her at every available opportunity. Her eyes drifted over to the side, where their wax voodoo dolls awaited her call if she needed them. She didn’t, of course. They were too far under her spell. But it was always best to be prepared at a moment’s notice.

There were other dolls next to theirs. Three. Two for the other toys Leoda currently had in the house, two young women she was in the process of selling even now. The third was inactive, waiting for Leoda to get close enough to the person it represented to activate it. There were strands of red hair atop its head, taken from the bathroom of Kiana’s apartment, and hopefully belonging to the missing member of Kiana’s little team of snoops.

Sarah. Kiana’s roommate. A redhead fit enough to find work as a swimsuit model. Leoda had clippings of some of that work in her office. Sarah would make a marvelous doll, first for Leoda’s use before she inevitably sold her. Her body was taut, her chest impressive, and her lovely hair would be as much fun to see on a wax doll as it would be to see at Leoda’s feet.

So far Sarah had proved annoyingly difficult to capture. The irritating girl should have been an easy snatch. A text from her captive roommate was all Leoda should need. She had even sent some of her other girls to their shared apartment the very night she had taken her gorgeous Filipina doll. But Kiana’s claims that she told the redhead her suspicion that Leoda was the infamous Dollmaker hadn’t been the bluffs Leoda assumed them to be. The redhead simply refused to be pinned down.

The failure had been so frustrating that Leoda was selling off the rest of her girls. She would still have two now, wouldn’t she? If the others couldn't be of any use outside of Leoda’s home there was no sense in keeping them longer than she had to.

Leoda wasn’t worried about Sarah contacting the authorities. For starters, she had contacts within law enforcement to warn her. And if that wasn’t enough all she had to do was make her prisoners tell the police that they were staying with her of their own free will. They would never believe they were enthralled by magic and entrapped by Voodoo dolls. Everyone knew magic wasn’t real.

Still, it was annoying to keep missing Sarah. Leoda wanted the redhead to complete her set of snoopy brats. She had plans for all three of them.

Leoda shook her head. This wasn’t the time for that. She would figure out a way to ensnare the model or she would wait until the model fell into one of the traps she was setting for her. One way or the other she would get her hands on one more doll.

For now, she was going to have more fun.

“Now strip,” Leoda abruptly commanded her property. “Judith first, since she’s already lost her socks, and Kiana second.”

Kiana stepped off to the side to give Judith some more space. Judith turned around and bent forward. She pushed her rear out as far as it would go before she finally grabbed the band of her skirt and shimmied it all the way down her legs to reveal her tight black panties. Those went next, this time from a front view while Judith swayed her hips back and forth.

Now the bottom half of Judith’s body was entirely bare while the top half remained fully clothed. Leoda laughed in delight as the brunette paced back and forth to give her a better view of her half-nakedness. She was still pacing when she finally began to remove the blazer, pulling it up and over her head to reveal the tight blouse hugging her body, which followed a second later.

Watching that shirt come off was a real treat. Leoda delighted in seeing Judith stretch her arms all the way up to pull it off, the way her breasts in their lacy black pushup bra pushed outward, and how her luscious hair cascaded back down as the shirt was tossed aside.

“Excellent,” Leoda breathed when the bra joined the rest of Judith’s clothes on the ground, her breasts spilling out in their haste to escape the constricting black material. The Dollmaker took a moment to look over her pet and enjoy the sight of her naked body.

“Alright then. It’s your turn Kiana. Leave your socks though, Judith can help you remove those herself like you did for her.”

Kiana’s first move was to unbutton her blazer, one section at a time. Instead of pulling it over her head, the young woman squirmed her way out and pushed her chest out to let the thing fall down her arms. Then she repeated the process with her shirt, revealing a white bra that contrasted with both her friend’s black one and her own naturally tan skin. Not as dark as Leoda’s but more than enough to make the fine white material pop.

From there Kiana removed her own skirt, waving her hips in a circular motion while she gently pulled the plaid material down and crouched as she did so. Kiana twirled all the way around by the time she was done with that. Then she hooked her fingers into her white panties and stood up in one fluid motion, leaving those panties in the same heap as the skirt and revealing her neatly shaved pussy at the same time.

Like with her friend, the bra was the last piece to go, leaving the petite snoop nearly bare before her owner so Leoda could enjoy the sight of her property. Both living dolls remained in place, frozen as they were ogled and inspected. They did not move again until Leoda made a circular motion with her fingers, telling them to get to it.

“No hands,” she added as an afterthought. The dolls were already moving, Kiana sinking to her back and Judith to her knees. The younger woman held up one socked leg for Judith to strip, and Leoda watched with glee as the brunette caught the edge of the smaller toy’s sock in her teeth.

Slowly, with deliberate motions, Judith pulled the fuzzy white material off of Kiana’s taut little leg. Then repeated the process with the other leg. Her next move was down without any commands or prompts. Kiana’s leg remained in the air and Judith took it in her mouth to worship just as Kiana had done with her own minutes earlier.

“Now you can use your hands,” Leoda said. She didn’t want to see them waving around so much in the air.

Gently, as if grasping a holy chalice, Judith’s hands came to grasp her friend’s foot in the air. She knelt primly now, her legs folded up neatly next to each other as the faint, beautiful sounds of a skilled mouth suckling at a set of toes lilted through the air.

Leoda let out a happy sigh, all concerns again forgotten in favor of the sight before her. Her property, her dolls, let loose to play and amuse her.

Things didn’t get much better than this.

*

Sarah took a deep breath. Then another.

The woman in the driver’s seat turned to her. “Are you sure you’re ready for this?”

“Yes!” Sarah fired back. “I am. I really, really am. I’m just a little nervous.”

Six weeks. It had been six weeks and a few days since Kiana’s change. For Sarah it had all passed in a blur. She’d been on edge since she got that weird text from her roommate and friend. It used all their agreed-upon codes to promise she was okay and asked her to meet at the apartment to ‘clear up this whole misunderstanding.’

Sarah still hadn’t answered those texts. She’d barely been back to her own apartment in those six weeks, instead going about her business off of friends’ couches before finally getting into contact with Detective Carly Vang.

Carly was one of Kiana’s contacts in the police, a twenty-six year detective and the only person to take Sarah seriously when she came to the police station about her suspicions on Kiana’s disappearance that wasn’t really a disappearance. She still responded to phone calls and could still talk and show up, couldn’t she? What did it matter if she was suddenly dressing oddly or talking in a robotic monotone?

It wasn’t like Professor Leoda could have brainwashed her.

Except, based on the case notes Kiana left behind, the ones that Sarah managed to sneak away before Kiana’s new so-called friends arrived at the apartment, it was distressingly possible that Leoda really could brainwash people. Sarah didn’t want to believe it, but it explained so much about the odd things that happened around the Haitian woman and her chosen students. Carly found it plausible, but also said they needed proof, or at least evidence. And the only way they could picture getting that evidence was with a trap. With bait.

“I’m going to be right behind you,” said Carly. “It’s natural to be nervous, but I promise you that I won’t let things get too far. Okay?”

Sarah looked over at the woman in the driver’s seat. Carly was the very image of cool professionalism. Her face was calm, but sympathetic. She was dressed neatly in a crisp sweater, jacket, and slacks. Her black hair was tied back in a tight bun. Carly looked like she just stepped off the set of Law & Order. Sarah felt unprepared, or at least underdressed, in comparison. Jeans, running shoes, and a small winter coat. She should be running errands, not confronting a criminal wanted by the F.B.I.

The plan was risky, but simple. Go to Leoda directly and confront her. Ask to know what was going on with Kiana, how they had become so “close” in a matter of months. It was obvious that she was doing something illegal, even if it was hard to get evidence from a distance. So Sarah and Carly were going to close the distance by approaching her until she did something out of the ordinary. Carly would be following along, unseen, to do just that.

Sarah took one more deep breath.

“I’m ready. Let’s just do this before I change my mind.”

*

Sarah had never been to Professor Leoda’s office before. She knew where it was, having peeked at it and each classroom the Haitian woman taught in over the last six weeks. This was the first time she was approaching it on her own, ignoring the other students milling about in the hallway as if everything was normal.

When she reached the door, Sarah knocked and immediately regretted it. It felt like asking permission to enter, and Sarah didn’t want to set that kind of tone. She reached for the doorknob without waiting for a response, only to hear a “come in!” as she turned it.

Sarah cursed under her breath, but kept on going. She used her anger with herself to steel her expression. Projecting emotion–in this case confidence–was a skill any half-decent model knew.

It was a normal looking office. There were shelves of sociology books next to the desk, which was strewn with files and papers like any other college teacher’s space Sarah had ever seen. There were two well worn school-provided chairs in front of that desk, and Leoda was just looking up from an outdated computer.

“Hello there,” the Haitian woman said with a smile. Sarah thought she saw a spark of recognition in her eyes, but couldn't be sure. She was positive Leoda knew about her, having sent her minions to her and Kiana’s apartment, but she didn’t know if the teacher knew enough to recognize her. “I don’t think we’ve met before, have we? You’re not in any of my classes?”

She stood, revealing that she was taller than Sarah, and held out a hand for a shake. Sarah took it, keeping her face stony while she met the older woman’s gaze.

“No, we haven’t met,” she said as they finished and she took a step back. “My name is Sarah, my roommate Kiana is in one of your classes, and I had a few questions for you.”

The door shut behind Sarah. She blinked, amazed she hadn’t jumped at the unexpected slam.

“Oh, I’m sorry about that. That thing is weighted to shut automatically and it always takes people by surprise. You just said your name is Sarah? Kiana’s talked about you before. Please, have a seat.”

“I–I’ll stand,” Sarah said, making an effort not to turn around and look at the door. Being shut in wasn’t great knews, but it wasn’t like Carly was standing just outside the door with a pair of binoculars. The idea was to follow Leoda, not catch her doing something nefarious right there in the office.

Leoda shrugged. “Suit yourself. Now what can I do for you?”

She visibly gave Sarah a once over as she sat back down. It sent a little chill down Sarah’s spine. The twenty-one-year-old took another deep breath, this one quick, and did her best to take control of the situation. She did not sit down, she started to step across the office, walking over to the center of Leoda’s desk.

“To be honest, Professor Leoda, I’m a little worried about Kiana. She’s been acting… strange, lately. I’m sure you know what I mean. She was in your class before her behavior changed, and–what the fu–?!”

Something happened when Sarah stepped up to the desk. Something strange, even impossible!

It started at her ankles. They abruptly slammed together along with the rest of Sarah’s legs. The redhead almost felt like there was something being wrapped around them. Tape or–or bandages or something. Sarah looked down and saw the faint outline of a circle glowing–actually glowing–right there on the ground.

“You look unwell Sarah,” Leoda said, her wide grin completely at odds with the concerned tone of her words. She stood back up and rapidly made her way around her desk, hands reaching up to grasp at her unsuspecting victim.

Sarah couldn't take a step back and didn’t have enough balance to hop away. She tried to raise her hands to knock Leoda’s out of the way, but the impossible sensation of being wrapped up was now extending to her arms, making them slam down to her sides as if heavily bound there.

“No! Don’t tooouuuhhh eee!” It was suddenly impossible for Sarah to open her mouth and speak. Sarah had been gagged before. This both was and wasn’t at all like that. There was nothing in her mouth to hold her tongue down and nothing to hold it inside. She simply could not open her mouth or form words anymore!

“I think you should sit down after all,” said Leoda. She was there now, hands on Sarah’s shoulders, guiding her to one of the chairs whether Sarah liked it or not. There was nothing the redhead could do to stop the Haitian woman.

Nor could Sarah stop the woman from slipping some kind of necklace around her neck. There was a brief second when Sarah thought the older woman was about to strangle her, but no. It wasn’t a garrote, just a necklace. A necklace with some kind of gaudy thing at the center. Sarah had no idea what it was or why Leoda was putting it on her.

“It’s funny you mentioned Kiana a minute ago,” Leoda was still smiling, wide and hungry. This was a trap. A trap Sarah had walked straight into! “She and her friend Judith are actually on their way here right now, they were just taking care of a couple of errands for me, but they can take you somewhere to feel better once they get here.”

“Mmmmnnnnoooough!” Sarah cried out. She didn’t want to go anywhere with Kiana and Jodie.

“Now now, I insist. I can’t have students collapsing right in front of me without doing anything about it! I’ll call them over right now, and it won’t take them more than five minutes to arrive. You just sit tight. I know Kiana will be happy to see you, she was just telling me how sorry she is to keep missing you these last few weeks.”

Sarah could only stare as Leoda pulled out a phone and started texting. She felt tears begin to well up in her eyes. Leoda knew exactly what she was doing. She’d been ready for Sarah to confront her. Ready with that weird circle thing that left Sarah unable to move. This whole thing was a trap.

The door opened.

For half a second, Sarah’s heart soared. Was it Carly? The detective was supposed to be waiting outside to follow Sarah and Leoda, but maybe she’d sensed something was wrong. Could that be it?

But the plan was for Carly to wait outside the building, at the staff entrance that gave her a view of Leoda’s parked car.

“Perfect timing girls. I was just texting you.”

No.

Sarah’s heart sank right back down as Kiana stepped into the room. It was the first time she’d been physically close to her friend and roommate in six weeks, and Kiana just looked wrong. The Kiana Sarah knew always dressed practically, in comfortable clothes and sneakers she could run or sneak around in on a moment's notice. This Kiana was wearing a pleated skirt, with high heeled boots and a sweater that hugged her body more tightly than anything Sarah had ever seen her wear.

Then she turned, and Sarah saw almost nothing of her friend. Kiana’s mirthful, sometimes suspicious eyes were vacant and lifeless. When they looked at Sarah there was only a tiny gleam of recognition. It was like she was drugged.

“Kiana, your roommate here just popped in to see me and wasn’t feeling well. Can you check her over for me? Once we’re sure she’s okay we can take somewhere she can rest and feel better. And Judith, be a dear and close the door, will you?”

“Yes, Madam,” both Kiana and the brunette behind her said in unison. Jodie was dressed similarly to Kiana, but in a pencil skirt and ankle boots instead of Kiana’s slightly more maneuverable getup.

Wait a second, what did “check her over” mean?

Sarah squealed and squirmed as Kiana stepped over and started patting her down, placing her hands all over her body. On her chest, her sides, her legs. Everywhere.

“MMmnnoooooh!” Sarah protested. None of her fantasies were like this! The redhead squirmed and fought before she realized the Filipina woman wasn’t feeling her up, but checking her for a wire. Making sure she wasn’t bugged. And also feeling her up.

Leoda was watching from behind her desk, enjoying the show.

Oh God, Sarah thought to herself. I’m really in trouble here.

*

Detective Carly Vang was beginning to consider marching into the building herself when her quarry walked out the staff door. Not just Leoda, but all four of them. Carly watched as Kiana and Jodie, the two girls she was convinced were being coerced into illegal activity, burst into the chilly November air, frogmarching Sarah between them. Leoda followed with a wide smile.

For a moment, Carly had to stare. The girls were making no attempt to hide that they were basically forcing the redhead to walk, but no one was doing anything. Students milled about the campus walkways as if nothing was unusual and it was a regular day.

Though… there was something… off about the way they moved. Or no, the way Sarah moved. Carly couldn’t put her finger on what was wrong. She felt like she was watching a video with a messed up frame rate. Carly focused, looking for anything that was amiss. There was… what was that necklace Sarah was wearing? It looked like some kind of ritual charm. She hadn’t been wearing that before going in.

Carly was the youngest person to make detective in department history. You didn’t earn that kind of recognition by being indecisive, or letting things cloud your judgment. Something here was very wrong, even more so than it looked at first glance.

The detective was out of sight, on the edge of the corner of a nearby lecture hall. None of the four women made any sign of having noticed her, or even looked in her general direction. She followed along easily, never entering their line of sight.

As expected, they made their way to Leoda’s car. That was good. It was the plan. Something had gone wrong, but the general shape of it was intact. The idea was for Carly to follow Leoda in her own car to wherever she would take Sarah. She’d parked close by for that very reason.

Breaking off from her immediate pursuit, Carly made her way to her parking spot. It was right there, far enough away from Leoda’s usual staff parking spot to be overlooked and close enough to tail the mysterious sociology professor. Carly just had to–

Wait, was that–?

“Oh, no.Carly whispered as she came up to her vehicle.

Her tires were slashed. What’s more, there was a piece of paper stuck to her window, on the driver’s side. It was folded up, and when Carly pulled it free and opened it to take a look, she felt her heart skip several beats.

Thank you for the new recruit, and feel free to stop by in a couple of days when she’s all settled in. We’ll all be happy to see you then.

Carly recognized the handwriting as Kiana’s. Leoda had been ready for them. Sarah had walked right into a trap. Leoda knew about Carly, and she wasn’t at all worried about being caught.

“Shit.”

*

“I hope the ride wasn’t too bumpy, dear. I wanted to wait a little before really getting to know you, and I knew I wouldn't be able to help myself if you were in the backseat with me. Out of sight, out of mind. You understand, don’t you?”

Sarah just whimpered as she stared up at the woman and her two minions–Sarah’s friends–standing above her in the open car trunk. Kiana and Jodie had stuffed her into the trunk of Leoda’s expensive car instead of putting her in a seat. And just like their walk from the office to the car, no one had done anything. Sarah had been kidnapped in broad daylight, and no one gave her a second glance!

It was the necklace Leoda put on her. That must be it. Sarah just knew it was some kind of… spell or something. It made people not pay attention to her.

But she couldn't dwell on that. Leoda was giggling. “You and Kiana have something in common, you know. I never imagined that both of you would just walk up to me and let yourselves get caught! Both!”

Sarah felt her face burn and looked down, the embarrassment too much for her.

“Oh, you’re so shy! I would have thought a model would be more bold. Nothing like Kiana. She was glaring and swearing at me when I first got her. Weren’t you, Kiana?”

“Yes, Mistress.”

Sarah squeezed her eyes shut at her friend’s creepily monotone voice.

“But enough talk. It’s time to get you settled in. Judith, get some tea ready. Kiana, make sure everything is ready for our welcome party. And Sarah–” the redhead cringed at the excited, drawn out way the woman said her name, “–I have a surprise for you.”

A second later, Sarah felt herself move. She did not move on her own. Her body simply moved.

“MMMPH!?” She exclaimed in wordless shock as she sat up with core strength she didn’t think she had. Sarah’s eyes were open again, wide and terrified as she watched herself maneuver onto her legs without any control of what she was doing, and all while her arms and legs were still invisibly bound! Before she knew it Sarah was standing in the trunk, looking down at a smiling Leoda.

“I wasn’t completely sure if it was actually your hair Kiana brought to me. From the bathroom of your apartment?” Leoda was holding a little wax figure with strands of red attached to its head. The same shade of red as Sarah’s vibrant hair. It was–was that a voodoo doll?

Her question was answered seconds later, when Leoda took a step back and made the doll do a front flip, with Sarah following along an instant later.

“MMMMMMMMMMPPPPHHHH!” Sarah screamed. Her heart beat violently in her chest. It was several seconds before she saw that she landed clear on her feet, safe and sound. As if she were actually capable of doing a standing front flip.

Horrified, she stared at Leoda.

“There, I’d say that proves it’s your hair, doesn’t it?” Leoda giggled again. “Now, let’s get inside. You need to be punished for taking me as a fool.”

*

Carly couldn’t call for backup, or a patrol officer’s car, or put out an APB on Leoda and her victims. There was no obvious evidence and she had no warrant. This wasn’t an official investigation, and wouldn't be until she actually caught Leoda committing an undeniable crime.

Which, with the notarized note Sarah wrote weighing in Carly’s pocket, wouldn’t be as hard to prove as it otherwise might be.

In the meantime, Carly used one of the apps on her phone to call for a ride. She couldn't even remember which app it was.

“Look, I will pay you the biggest tip of your life if you just drive faster!”

“Lady, you have eyes! I can’t drive though other cars and I can’t control the traffic! Look!”

Carly grunted, but didn’t argue. He was right, they’d been caught in some kind of minor traffic jam. There might have been an accident up ahead. Whatever the reason, it was keeping her from getting to Leoda’s house faster.

It was getting very hard not to panic.

*

So Voodoo dolls were a real thing that actually worked and people could make them. Good to know. Sarah definitely would have preferred to know it before she was kidnapped by someone who could make one. It sure as hell would have answered a lot of questions about why Kiana and Jodie were acting so strange.

All of this was racing through that distant part of Sarah’s mind that could be calm and rational no matter what. The rest of Sarah’s mind was filled with terror as her arms moved without her say so, to pull her own shirt off, exposing her bra to both her kidnapper and her brainwashed roommate.

The four women were standing in an open area of Leoda’s home. Leoda was seated comfortably with her legs crossed in a comfortable looking easy chair in her living room. There was a real fireplace off to the side. Sarah watched Leoda snap her fingers at it, and the fire came to life a second later. Kiana was at Leoda’s side, her head bowed like some kind of servant, hands resting in front of her. Jodie was in the kitchen area getting the tea Leoda demanded ready behind Sarah. The redhead could hear her moving around and knew that the taller, more athletic woman would spring into action if she was able to try anything.

“In the future you’ll be doing this without my help,” Leoda gestured to the wax voodoo doll in her hand. She was expertly manipulating it, and by extension Sarah’s body. “Your friends have come to be very good at it.”

She gestured to two more dolls at the side of her chair, black and brown hair atop their heads for Kiana and Jodie, just like she said.

Neither of them had any reaction to their names being spoken aloud. They just kept staring out in that blank expression. Sarah whimpered. She had already lost her shoes, socks, jacket, and now her shirt. She was standing there in nothing but her bra and panties, cupping her breasts with her hands to show them off. Which was Leoda going to make her do next?

“All my girls need to know how to give a good strip tease, Sarah. You’ll get better at it in the future.”

Sarah grimaced in anger and fear. She didn’t want to be one of Leoda’s girls, but unless Carly showed up very soon she didn’t think she was going to get a choice in the matter. She certainly didn’t have any choice when she felt her body sinking to the floor outside of her control. In a second she was on her hands and knees with her head bowed down. Sarah felt like a chastised dog. Then her hands and knees moved, carrying her forward until she came to a stop at Leoda’s feet.

“Good girl,” Leoda mocked as Sarah’s mouth moved to the tips of her expensive looking shoes. All she could do was watch as her body met those tips with its lips. She could feel them on her mouth and hear the sounds of her kissing them.

Then the sounds stopped and Sarah felt her head raise away from her kidnapper’s stylish shoes. They were very nice, she couldn’t help but note. Gorgeous leather heels that she wished she would never have to kiss again.

Now Sarah’s hands were moving. They gingerly took hold of those gorgeous shoes and slid them off Leoda’s feet, one at a time. Sarah felt her heart pound in her chest as she watched herself set them neatly to the side.

She realized what her body was about to do an instant before it happened. A frustrated scream died in Sarah’s throat when her whole body moved forward again, her head dipping towards the floor where Leoda’s bare feet and toes were waiting for her. And then she was kissing again, and licking and sucking at her kidnapper’s toes. How the hell did the doll even let her do this? It didn’t even have a mouth!

However it worked, Sarah could not stop herself. Leoda raised one foot into the air to better allow her captive to take it in her mouth. In the corner of Sarah’s eye she could see Kiana’s legs, and no higher than her skirt. She was glad for that, it meant she wouldn’t have to see that vacant look in her roommate’s eyes once again.

“Good girl,” Sarah heard Leoda again. “Very good girl. You’re a natural, Sarah. I’m so happy. There was a small part of me that was considering selling you right away, my buyers do like a resistant doll every so often, but all my doubts are gone. Soon I’ll have you under my spell just like Kiana and Judith. Won’t that be nice?”

Sarah’s head nodded without her consent. She was now sucking the toes of Leoda’s other foot.

“I knew you’d think so. But before we get to that part, I think I should let you have a little treat. I’ve asked Kiana enough questions about you and her to know that you’ll love it!”

What did that mean? Sarah’s heart was beating faster than ever. Just what in the world did this crazy woman mean by that? That question burned in Sarah’s mind as she finally pulled away from Leoda’s feet and stood up. Then it was answered in the worst possible way when she saw Kiana stepping forward.

Oh no, Sarah thought to herself, not like this.

Sarah had spent a long time trying to ignore the crush she had on her roommate, but when Kiana was suddenly there, her lips coming straight for Sarah’s, it was all she could think about. Standing in heels Kiana was only a tiny bit shorter than Sarah, there was no reason for her to strain.

Her lips are so soft was the only thought that could exist in the redhead’s mind. In the distance she felt her arms wrap around Kiana’s body while Kiana’s explored her own. She was dimly aware of how Kiana undid the clasp on her bra so it could fall forward, and how she herself stuck one hand up Kiana’s skirt and felt at her taut ass.

Sarah kept her eyes squeezed shut. She didn’t want to see this. Not Kiana’s dead eyes or Leoda’s smug grin, or any of it at all.

“That’s it, girls! Keep it up just like that while I get things started.”

It was a gorgeous sight. Leoda knew she could watch for hours. Two beautiful women, a fresh captive and a completed doll, making out mere feet away. Sarah was naked, her auburn hair spilling and spreading out across her shoulders, while Kiana was still fully clothed. That would change very soon, but for now it was worth it to see the two beauties grope and fondle each other like that.

But now wasn’t the time for pure enjoyment. Leoda had to finish the job of getting Sarah under her control.

Just then, Judith came in with the tea.

“Took you long enough,” said Leoda. It was annoying timing. Still, she took it in hand long enough for a delightful sip–it was still a hair too hot–and handed it back. “Don’t move until I tell you,” she commanded. Leoda didn’t want anything to distract her while she cast the spell that would reduce Sarah to the same doll-like state as her friends.

“That’s enough making out now. It’s time to get my new doll under control. Sarah, stop moving. Hold perfectly still. Kiana, take her panties all the way off–yes, just like that–now step aside and watch her like a hawk, understand? If she should move for any reason, you stop her. Otherwise I don’t want you moving from that spot until I say otherwise, even if a bull bursts in and begins wrecking the place.”

The two beauties were already in position. Kiana was off to the side ready to spring into action and Sarah stood at attention directly before Leoda, giving the Dollmaker an excellent view of her nudity. Firm breasts, a fit and toned musculature, and her cared-for, trimmed pussy that matched her hair.

Delightful.

After one more sip of tea, Leoda reluctantly shut her eyes and focused. She began her spell, calling upon her power and whispering the correct words.

Sarah was making whimpering sounds of fear more than ever before. The poor redhead to tell that Leoda’s words meant nothing good for her and was making her distress known. It was no trouble. Sarah could not speak or move. She was trapped in body, and soon she would be trapped in mind too. A whole new doll to play with until Leoda was ready to sell her off. A ghost of a smile touched Leoda’s lips.

It was not an easy spell to cast. To wholly subvert another’s mind as Leoda had with Kiana, Judith, and numerous other girls required time, effort, and all of Leoda’s focus. In minutes she was lost in the casting, consumed by all those demands and more. The world around Leoda vanished in her mind. The sounds around her–the passing of cars outside, the cackling of the fireplace–faded as she spoke the words. A single mistake now could ruin everything and require her to start over.

There was a sound, a thumping noise that threatened to break the Dollmaker’s concentration. Leoda’s smile vanished, but she did not end her incantation. There were always minor distractions when casting a spell of this magnitude. The fire alarm had gone off when Leoda had first enthralled Judith months ago and even that did not cause her to lose control.

Of course, a piece of cloth abruptly shoved into one’s mouth was somewhat more distracting than a fire alarm.

“Waaaaughhh!” Leoda screamed and choked at the violent intrusion. She opened her eyes to find a new, unfamiliar woman was practically straddling her. She had asian features, neat hair, was dressed in a professional sweater and jacket, and looked absolutely furious.

“You,” the attacker snarled, “have the right to remain silent.”

Leoda’s eyes whipped towards Kiana and Judith, both of whom were simply standing still to stare at Sarah and hold a cup of tea. Why weren’t her dolls defending her? They were programmed to protect her from–

Oh, she had ordered them both not to move unless she told them to, hadn’t she? And now she was gagged and could not speak. The attacker–a policewoman, Leoda saw her badge now–was still speaking words Leoda had heard a thousand times on television and had no reason to listen to now. But she was doing more than that. She was twisting Leoda around in her seat and going for a pair of handcuffs.

No.

Finally coming to her senses, Leoda began to thrash in place. The woman dropped her handcuffs and was forced to try and wrestle her into a more stationary position. Leoda tried to shove whatever was in her mouth out with her tongue, but it was too deep in her mouth and she could not use her hands when she was focused on fighting her attacker.

Leoda tried to reach for the dolls standing at the side of her bed, Kiana and Sarah, their black and red hair atop the little wax heads. With them she could fling the girls onto the policewoman and free her voice in the resultant chaos. The policewoman slapped her hand away before it could happen.

Then, as if driven by some horrible instinct, the woman grabbed the dolls herself and tossed them into the fireplace.

“MMOOOUGH!” Leoda screamed.

More screams joined hers, grunts of pain and discomfort from the three captive girls. Leoda had seen people freed from the influence of a voodoo doll in the past. It came with pain, and then it was done.

“Oh my God!”

“Sarah I’m so sorry!”

‘WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE!?”

It was suddenly even more chaotic in the living room. Judith dropped her tea cup to the ground and stepped backwards, staring down at her outfit and the place around her in horror as she woke up from her months-long dream. Sarah had instantly run out of the room, with Kiana following behind with the clothes in hand. And the policewoman?

She took advantage of Leoda's distraction to finish slapping those handcuffs around her wrists.

Leoda finally managed to spit the cloth out of her mouth and glare at the bitch. She glared right back.

“You’re under arrest.”

“I cannot fucking tell you all how great it is to wear fucking jeans after I woke up in all that ‘proper outfit’ bullshit,” Jodie growled, complete with air quotes. “Tell me that bitch is in prison. I can’t find headlines anywhere and I need to know she’s in a fucking cell.”

“She’s in prison,” answered Carly.

Months had passed. She, Jodie, Kiana, and Sarah were all meeting at once for the first time since the day Leoda was arrested. They were at a diner, Carly’s treat, nestled off into a booth in the corner. Kiana noticed each of the others shooting suspicious glances at almost anyone who came too close to them, herself included. Re-adjusting to freedom was… well, it was a challenge.

Kiana’s time under Leoda’s control had been like a dream. She’d been stuck in a half-aware state. Vaguely understanding of what was going on, but still far enough out of it that she hadn’t realized how much time had passed when she first came out of it. The whole experience had played hell with her grades and transcripts, but it had mostly been sorted out.

“It’s a special prison though. I can’t tell you too much about it. Let’s just say it turns out that the F.B.I. has facilities that can handle people with abilities like the Dollmaker’s.”

“Fuckin’ A,” said Jodie. She’d cut her hair very short in the aftermath of everything, and gotten a new tattoo or two. Or three. “I uh… thanks guys. All of you. For everything. None of us would have gotten out of there if it wasn’t for all of you.”

“And none of the other victims would have been recovered if it wasn’t for you,” Kiana fired right back. “Stop being so hard on yourself, Jodie. You were the first one who noticed something was going on with that crazy bitch. Be proud of that.”

“Plus you kicked her ass when we were leaving,” added Sarah from her spot at Kiana’s side. “That was fun.”

They all chuckled.

Kiana let out a happy sigh and found herself leaning into her girlfriend. As terrible as the ordeal with Professor Leoda had been, at least their relationship had come out of it. She’d had a slight crush on her roommate for awhile, and had genuinely no idea she felt the same way. Clearly Kiana had to work on her investigation skills.

Jodie and Carly gave Kiana and Sarah knowing looks across the table. They didn’t know any of the sexy bits between the girlfriends, but no one was more aware of their relationship.

“Enough about the Dollmaker,” said Kiana. “We have a lot of catching up to do, don’t we? So what’s new?”
