Charles Greenwood had an unfortunately spotty history of buying presents for his wife. She never disliked what he gave her, but he never seemed to be able to buy something that truly excited her. It was unlike shopping for his daughter. Samantha was easy enough to choose presents for. She had a sadistic edge that outstripped either of her parents and a tendency to hold grudges. Charles already had her Christmas gift picked out, though he was still waiting for it to be picked up.
But after decades of marriage, Charles Greenwood had never quite hit the mark with his wife. So after years of trying on his own, Charles swallowed his pride and went to ask for advice on what to buy for Lydia from someone he believed would know.
“Say hello to your former owner, Helen.”
The slim bunny slave with the long brunette bobcut at his side hesitated, her voice quivering as she managed a “Hello, Mistress Alexa.”
“Hello slut,” said Alexa Meyer from her seat in one of the room’s comfortable, plush leather chairs. “I hope you’ve been serving your Master well.”
There was an undercurrent of menace to Alexa’s words. A threat of retribution should she learn the younger woman she had kidnapped, trained, and ultimately sold to Lydia Greenwood to be a birthday present for her husband had been dissatisfactory in any way. Helen, with her hands cuffed neatly in front of her, visibly shook. Charles thought he could hear the collar around her slender neck rattling.
“Of course she has,” said Charles as he gave the bunny a good smack to her rear to elicit a cute surprised yelp. “She’s been the perfect little bunny since Lydia presented her to me. Go on sweetheart, give the mistress a proper greeting”
The brunette bunny’s wide eyes went back and forth between Charles and Alexa before she took a deep breath and made herself move over to Alexa’s seat. When she drew close enough, she fell down to her knees and cuffed hands to crawl the last few feet forward to kiss the slaver woman’s shoes.
Alexa did not react. She only looked on with an impassive sense of indifference. For his part, Charles enjoyed the show. His pet’s rump was high in the air, contained nicely by her dark nylons while her torso was hugged with a classic black teddy. A fluffy white puffball just above the ass completed the picture.
Ever since he was a young boy first discovering Playboy, Charles had been fond of bunny girls.
Now Charles sat down in the room’s other plush leather chair. In an instant, the Club server was at his other side. She was a pretty young thing with dirty blonde hair. There was a leather collar at her throat and matching cuffs on her wrists and ankles. Lengths of chain connected her limbs together. They were long enough to allow her to work unimpeded and short enough to prevent her from running if she were foolish enough to try it.
“Would you like a drink, Sir?”
“Yes, whisky. On the rocks.”
“Very good Sir.”
As he waited for his drink, Charles met the gaze of the woman he had come to meet.
Alexa Meyer did not like Charles Greenwood very much. She was convinced he was planning to acquire her for himself and force her to become one of his bunnies. It irritated Charles just a little bit, as he had no intention of making such an attempt. Alexa was a skilled procuress of human property and as close to trustworthy as someone in that line of work could be. Her products were always high quality. And she was a colleague and near-friend of his wife Lydia.
If she were to run afoul of a competitor and end up on the auction block, that would be a different story. But Charles would never try to cause such a thing to happen on his own initiative.
Yet despite her dislike of him Alexa was willing to deal with Charles. And she appreciated a good cigar nearly as much as he did. Alexa waited until the server had not only poured Charles his drink, but had also lit his Dominican Diamond Crown Maximus before holding up a Cuban of her own for the blonde woman to do the same.
Once they were both settled in Alexa shifted, moving her foot away from the bunny before giving her a light kick to the shoulder. “That’s enough for my shoes, slut. I have toes as well.”
Helen bowed her head before gingerly removing one of Alexa’s expensive heels and bringing her mouth to it. In seconds, Charles could hear the low sounds of his bunny sucking her kidnapper’s toes. Alexa had no visible reaction to the bunny’s efforts. Her Poker Face was implacable as it ever was as she met Charles’s gaze.
Charles hoped he could say the same, though she wasn’t making it easy for him. It was hard not to be affected by the sight of his slave bent over like that to worship her superior’s feet.
The gorgeous black woman was dressed in a silver-grey pantsuit cut to flatter her frame without showing too much off. A white turtleneck sweater with a white-gold necklace and a tasteful set of unobtrusive rings completed the outfit. Her high ponytail of thin braids came to rest over one of her shoulders. Alexa did not need a slave at her feet to be the very image of power.
The two of them were meeting in a private suite at the local Covington Club. They were both Club members, though Alexa was known to take advantage of her membership rather sparingly. For his part, Charles tried to make it at least a couple of times a month.
The server had faded into the background. Silent and ready to assist the moment either Charles or Alexa had another demand of her.
“Before we begin, I’ll remind you that my organization is not well-suited to acquiring specific individuals,” Alexa said before taking a moment to enjoy a breath of her cigar. “And you of course realize that I will be charging you my consultanting fee regardless of whether or not you buy something from my inventory.”
Charles was wearing his own sharp business suit, having spent the day in several meetings. Investments, possible sales and purchases, stock trading, that sort of thing. Charles could go days and sometimes even weeks without needing to be present. Today he almost–almost!–felt underdressed next to the woman he had come to consult and hopefully buy from.
“Of course,” Charles said before taking a puff. He was a businessman and understood the limits of Alexa’s operation perfectly well. She did not have the extensive international resources of the Kraken Club or the Corporation. Her people acquired what they could and sold the stock in her famous auctions. “Though I have to admit I was gambling on the possibility that you might have something on hand.”
“We both know Lydia would not appreciate something I have ‘on hand,’ Charles.”
Mr. Greenwood raised his glass in acknowledgment of her point.
What Lydia Greenwood really enjoyed was a project, a person she had to subdue before molding to fit her desires. Charles had spent years watching her do tremendous things with their shared property and her own over the years, half the time for nothing more than her own amusement. Her puppies were her favorites. But training them was a private hobby. Lydia much preferred to obtain her own dogs. She did not appreciate them as presents.
Similarly, she enjoyed it when her personal slaves were minimally trained. One of Alexa’s castoffs would not suit her.
“Not even a stubborn one?” Charles asked. Lydia enjoyed strong-willed slaves who withstood the “conveyer-belt training” of larger organizations almost as much as the freshly caught.
“Not stubborn enough for her tastes,” said Alexa. “I personally oversee all of my inventory’s training. I’ll be happy to let you know if I come across something I think she’ll like. But that’s not something I can tell right away. I need to work with them for a time before I can tell if she’d like them. For my money you’re better off ordering a headstrong, self-assured young man on your own.”
Charles sighed. “That’s what I’ve tried to get her. The problem is that I have a bad track record with purchasing Lydia male slaves. They always end up boring her too quickly.”
It was maddening. Charles prided himself on his ability to read people. His very career was built on that ability. Yet somehow he always seemed to misjudge the men he bought for his wife.
“Tell me about them,” said Alexa. She shifted her legs, pulling the foot Helen had been working on out of reach and recrossing them so the bunny could have access to the other. The gentle sounds of foot worship soon resumed. “Maybe I can see details you’re missing.”
Charles spent a moment considering the woman seated across from him. Alexa would be a nightmare to play poker against. She gave away nothing in her face or her body language. There was some tension there from her paranoia that Charles would attempt to capture her, but Charles could barely spot it.
Eventually, he spoke. “I suppose the biggest disappointment was the star athlete. He was a senior in high school fielding multiple scholarship offers across each of his sports. Football in the fall, hockey in the winter, baseball in spring. I paid for him to be snatched in time for Lydia’s birthday halfway through his final baseball season.”
That got a reaction. Alexa blinked–blinked!–and raised an eyebrow. “College scholarships in three sports? With that many eyes on him he must have been costly.”
“I spared no expense,” Charles said with pride. He took a deep breath of his cigar. “She still has him, you know. That’s rare. Of all the live presents I’ve bought Lydia, I can count the amount she kept for more than a year or two on my fingers. He’s one of the only three she’s kept for more than five. And the only reason she’s kept him for so long is because she’s been challenging herself to keep him in the same shape he was when I gave him to her at eighteen. She had him fully trained in the blink of an eye!”
An exaggeration, yes. It had actually taken her somewhat longer than usual. But it was essentially true. Charles still couldn’t believe how quickly Lydia had the strapping young man under control.
Alexa took a moment to enjoy another taste of her own cigar before replying. “How? What tactics did she use?”
“I don’t know. She tends to keep her private slaves seperate from the rest of the estate.”
“I see. And what else have you bought her over the years?”
“There was the fraternity head primed for a bright future in finance. A law student set to graduate with honors. Once I tried to shake up my pattern by buying an older man. Older than me even, though this must have been fifteen years ago. He was a real silver fox and a well-regarded stockbroker. The people I hired to get him didn’t even have to fake his death, just his retirement. She was done with him in less than six months.
“And that’s just the men. I try to give her male slaves to offset the amount of female flesh I surround her with,” he indicated the bunny at Alexa’s feet. “I figured I would do a better job choosing a good woman for her, but it was the same story! None of them stand up to her for long, and they’re almost all gone within the year. The heiress, the valedictorian, the chemist. All of them!”
“I think I see the problem.”
That stopped Charles short. “You do?” Already?
“Yes.” She settled back into a more relaxed position, shooing Helen away from her feet as she did. “You have a blind spot, Charles. Your classism.”
Alexa snapped her fingers at the Club server and pointed at her feet. The blonde servant was there in a second with a towel to clean Helen’s slobber off the slaver’s feet.
Charles frowned again, his brow creasing in thought as his pet came to her proper position kneeling beside his seat. “Excuse me?”
The woman allowed herself a small smile. It struck Charles as patronizing. “You know she buys most of your birthday presents from me.” Her eyes drifted down to the brunette bunny settling in on her knees at Charles’s side.
Charles nodded and reached out to rest his free hand on the bunny’s head. He felt her shivering under her former owner’s gaze.
“After catering to your tastes for so long I’ve noticed that you tend to value status symbols. Slaves that are impressive socially if not necessarily on a personal level. I would also hazard a guess that most of your gifts to Lydia came from money.”
“I’m not sure I follow,” Charles said. “Many of them were wealthy in their former lives, yes, but not all. The athlete came from a poor background.”
“You said he was a star athlete.” She paused long enough for the server to place her shoes back on her feet. “He would have been used to frequent praise from his peers, coaches, and parents. To say nothing of the college recruiters competing for his attention. As an athlete he might have been able to handle pain and discomfort, but a sustained campaign of shame and humiliation would have been far enough outside of his life experience to break him relatively quickly.
“It’s a common weakness in the kinds of slaves you’re describing. The kinds of adversity they’re used to dealing with don’t tend to help them deal with their new lives of service. To be taken from their lofty positions and reduced to being owned piece of property does a tremendous amount of work in breaking them on its own. True, there are always the spoiled brats who are too stupidly stubborn to truly submit or the rare ones with genuine will to resist, but they’re easy enough to deal with if you know how.
“My advice to you is to seek a gift that has faced more personal forms of adversity. An abusive family, a history of trouble with the law, financial hardship. Don’t focus on how impressive their achievements are, look at how challenging they’ll be to handle on an individual level.”
“You’re telling me to look for a diamond in the rough.” Charles thought of Aladdin. It had been one of Samantha’s favorite movies as a young child. The thought was vexing. It sounded like a time-consuming search.
Alexa took a moment to consider. “Those aren’t the words I would choose. But they fit well enough if you’d like to put it that way.”
Charles was having difficulty with the notion. This was a gift. The point was for it to be the best, something valuable. Not a cheap item from off the street. “It sounds as though I’d be buying her an inferior stone when I could give her a twenty carat ring.”
“People aren’t jewelry, Charles. Prices for human property are determined by the difficulty in obtaining them as much as their physical qualities or personalities. Just because the star quarterback costs more than a member of the band does not automatically mean he will be the greater challenge to bring to heel.”
“Hmm,” Charles finished off his drink.
“I have an example for you, if you’re interested.”
Of course she did. Alexa was a businesswoman through and through. A merchant and peddler of flesh as much as a predator of it. Her earlier warning about not being able to obtain a specific individual would of course be true, but Charles doubted she ever came to a consultation without having at least one slave to sell to her customer.
Charles thought about it, continuing to absently pet his bunny slave as he did.
“Thank you,” he finally said. “But I believe you’ve given me enough to go on as is. I should be able to choose a present from here.”
To her credit, Alexa did not push farther. She knew as well as Charles did that being able to judge when to stop was as vital a skill as knowing when to keep pushing.
Their conversation continued for the rest of the hour. Charles had paid Alexa’s full consultanting fee, so why not make the most of it? They discussed numerous things. Her business, how Lydia was doing, some of Charles’s other bunnies and ponies. Helen’s performance inevitably came up and the two spent several minutes inspecting her close up, enjoying her paintive whines as they grasped at her body and ordered her about.
At one point Alexa asked what Charles would be buying her daughter for Christmas.
“I wasn’t aware you had met Samantha.”
“Once, when Lydia bought her.” Alexa indicated the panting slave once again kneeling at Charles’s side. There was a dazed look in Helen’s eye and a reddening mark from where Alexa had slapped her minutes earlier.
“I see. Well, any advice on that front won’t be necessary. I already have a present picked out for her.” One of her former teachers, to be exact. A stubborn bitch in her thirties from Samantha’s time in prep school. Charles probably could have leaned on the school’s leadership to get her to give his daughter a break, but at the time he figured letting her continue to antagonize Samantha would make her into a better gift down the line. Mrs. Nguyen and her husband–who would be picked up with her and sold separately–were due to be collected once her winter break began.
Towards the end of their conversation Charles discovered Alexa had several more consultancy appointments that night and throughout the next day. People wanted training advice, second opinions on price negotiations, and whatever else the veteran slaver might have thoughts about. She would be staying at the Club overnight.
“I try to schedule these appointments close together. And Covington has a few staff members I’m interested in buying, so I’ll be examining their catalog while I’m here. I’ll be disappointed if I don’t leave with a new toy.”
At the end of their time Charles and Alexa parted cordially before Charles took his brunette bunny on his arm and left the Club to the privacy of his limousine, where he could enjoy her well-trained skills on his way to the city apartment he lived in when away from his estate. Once there he contacted his favorite private acquisition firm–who did specialize in abducting specific individuals–and outlined his thoughts.
It took a few days for the firm to come up with a few profiles for Charles to select from. He was starting to get nervous about how close to Christmas it was getting. But they did their jobs well and he was paying top dollar for the quickest work they could manage. He had enough options to make a decision within the week.
In the end Charles bought his wife a fighter. An ill-behaved yet mentally-disciplined wannabe MMA contender with dreams of title belts that would soon be forever out of his reach. He was the kind of fit young stud Charles knew his wife liked, but also dangerous, from a rough part of his home city, and hopefully strong-willed enough to challenge even a trainer as experienced as Lydia. A few too many tattoos, but when looking at the reconnaissance photos Charles decided that might be part of his charm. If nothing else, he suspected Lydia would have fun punishing the boy for ruining his body. And if he was wrong about that too, Lydia was fond of latex. She often used it and other skin tight on both bare-skinned slaves and to cover up annoying blemishes on others.
Charles was alerted to successful acquisition of both his presents a few days before Christmas. Reports came in about how young Mike was subdued after a struggle and the Nguyens were collected in their own bed. Charles Greenwood smiled to himself as he read, confident that both his wife and daughter would enjoy their gifts.
You can see the other members of the Greenwood Family go Christmas shopping too!
