Stella watched as her old Assistant left her office. She knew that day was not so far away, yet she hoped to have a few more weeks. But her former Assistants plans, sadly changed, forcing her to quit early. Leaving Stella without the most important part of her Magicshow, her lovely Assistant.
Looking at her calender, she wondered, how she should handle her next show. After thinking it through, did she buy an online add.
Hoping to at least get someone, that wants to help with her next show, allowing her to breath a bit.
After a few days, did she get a handful calls, asking about the Job. To the Magicians dissapoint, most of them were more prank calls, than anything else. She played with the thought of just sawing herself in half. But filling a whole show, where she couldnt ask volunteers from the audience, that was a magic trick she couldnt do.
Right as she wanted to give up and drown her plight, did her phone call. A young girl, called. Stella picked up, as the girl introduced herself to the answering machine. "Hello my dear, i am Stella the Amazing. Sorry that i couldnt pick up sooner." she started. After a few minutes, did they organise a date for a little audition.
Stella looked at the note with the date. All the girl had to do was show up. No matter how skilled she was. Thinking about for a bit. Stella prepared a few props. Wondering how well it would go.
A few days later, did Reina walk into the theater, Stella was using to house her props and perform her normal shows. "You must be Reina." The Magician said, after appearing from a cloud of dust. the Girl reached out her hand. "Yeah, thats for giving me a chance miss Stella. I practiced a lot for today." Stella looked at the girl and the sport cloths she was wearing.
"You practiced?" the Magician asked. The girl blushed for a moment and nodded. "Okay, can you show me something from right were you are standing?" The girl droped her bag and took a deep breath. She slowly opened her eyes and slide into a split, looking up to the magician. The Magician grabbed the front foot of the girl and started lifting it up.
Turning her split, into a oversplit. The girl did her best at keep a smile, while balancing herself. the Magician stopped, as the girls foot was on eye level with herself. "You really worked hard on that. But it takes a bit more, than being able to lift your leg." she noted and slowly, guided the foot back down. Letting the girl stand up again. Now much closer to the magician.
"So, is there something more magical, i can expect from you?" The girl looked around and noticed the props on the stage. "Can i use stuff from up there?" she asked. The magician lauged. "Quite perceptive as well. Of course, those are for you to play with2 the magician remarked and took a seat in the front row.
Reina walked on stage, looking at the zig zag box. But that was to boring, to show her skill. A thin model sawing, she thought about it for a moment, but without a magician, it was a bit lacking and she had no fitting fake legs. So she hoped for something helpful, on the table. Looking at the swords, resting against the table legs. did she decide, that they looked to sharp, to find out which ones are real and which ones arent.
her eyes stopped on a pair of handcuffs, ropes and a blanket. "Uhm, miss stella, i can i ask the audience for help?" she asked. Stella got up. "Not in the shows i perform. but you can ask your Magician for help." she replied and got closer to the edge of the stage. the girl, grabbed the rope, handcuffs and the blanket and placed them on the edge of the stage.
for the next five minutes, did she loosely tie the rope around her body and handcuffed her right arm. Once she was satisified, did she turn her back on Stella and handed the magician, the two ends of the rope. "Could you please pull on the ends of the ropes, till they cant be pulled anymore?" the girl asked.
Stella looked, as an uneasy expression, filled the girls face, as the rope started biting in her skin. "You dont have to do it, if you dont like being tied up, like that." Reina turned a bit more. "just a bit more, i want this job very much." Stella sighed, wanting to tell the girl, that she was already more than impressive. a loud groan from the girl, brought the magician back. The rope, was tight all across the girls body.
after pulling a bit more, did the magician tie the ends together and cuffed Reinas other hand. Leaving her completely helpless. "And now for the magical part, could you throw the blanket over me?" the girl asked and stood straight. Stella started to wonder, what the girl planned.
"uhm, are the edges of the rope visible?" she asked. Stella looked. "Yeah, should they go under the blanket as well?" she asked. Reina shook her head. "No, can you count till 100 in your head and then pull on them with as much force as possible?" Stella wasnt sure, what that would do, but she started. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10....98,99,100.
she pulled on the rope, surpised by the ammount, coming her way, as the blanket fell to the ground. Stella looked around, but reina vanished. Stella got up on Stage, wondering where the girl had gone, only to hear clapping from the third row. looking there, did the Magician spot her future assistant. "how?" was all she could ask.
Reina returned to Stage and showed the spot she was standing on. Pressing against the floor, did open a small trap door. "When i was younger, did we perform theater pieces here. And while getting up here, i noticed, that floor still has the dent, from when i fell down the trapdoor." Stella grabbed the girl and hugged her. "you more than earned your Job. I hope, i can count on you next weekend"
Reina smiled. "Sure, i do wanna try the thin model first, though." The magician guided her new assistant over to the box. "Now thats something i can help with."
