The Stagelight turned of for a moment, covering the audience in pure darkness. You look around, trying to see anything. But it was even to dark to see your own hand. then a flash of light came from the stage, a small spotlight highlighted a small spot in the centre. Looking at it, you cant see anything. Only for a hand to appear from the shadow and point towards itself.
The little light moved closer. showing the arm, the hand belonged to. followed by a shoulder. As the smile of a woman standing there, was fully visible, did the stage light turn on. Showing a woman, in a red evening dress. You first notice her tied up legs, then the rope, tying her other arm, behind her back.
What wasnt tied up, was the arm she used to point at herself. you keep your eyes on her smile, as she snapped her fingers. smoke covered her figure a moment later. as you could she her again, did you notice a cloth tied around her mouth. going a bit more down, even her other arm was tied up.
Her eyes rolled, she clearly did not expect that result. She glanced past the edge of the stage. Her look good strange after a minute. Worried you get up from your Seat and climb onto the stage. You see a tear forming in her eyes. So you remove the gag from her face.
she sighed in relief. "Thanks. Can you untie me?" she asked. You get quickly on your knees and free her hands, followed by the rope around her hips and finally her legs. She helped you back up and kissed you on the cheek. "Can you wait here for a moment?" she asked and then ran of the stage.
once she was out of side, did you and the rest of the audience hear her curse. five minutes and a list of none child friendly words later did she return with a large and a small box. "looks like someone remembered that they had a parent teacher conference, mid tying my hands behind my back." she commented the lack of the advertised magician.
"So, i kinda cant do the trick we planned alone, so can you help me?" she requested. You looked her in the eyes and just couldnt say no. The Assistant returned to her stage smile. "okay, now to our trick, it will be like roulette. As you all can see, there are seven holes in the box, two on each side and three in the middle of my drawn Shadow. That will be our target tonight. Well, your target. " she pointed at you. "But, you will need something to fill these holes. " so she opened the smaller box, showing you and the audience seven blades.
After looking around, did she pull out two of them. "Now lets get to the rules. there are seven swords in the box. three of them are Actually made out of metal and four of them are Fakes." she said and stabbed herself with the sword in her left hand. you could feel the audience freeze, as the Assistant started to laugh and pull the fake blade away.
she then put them back and mixed the swords up, till you couldnt keep track of the fake one anymore. "Now, you job my dear is it. to line up three of the fake ones, in the centre line. As thats the place where you will tie me up. So, you better think." she said and walked over to the larger box.
she stripped of her shoes and entered the box. Allowing you to chain her to the box. as you close the box, did you see that she was in the center of the box. A perfect match to the shadow on the outside.
One deep breath later and you fully closed the box. Picking up the first blade.
Unsure, you pierce the box on one the right side. get a dissapointed response from the inside of the box. So the second blade went into the middle. the Assistant laughed as you felt the blade touching her skin. As she didnt complain did you pick up, two more and pushed them through the either side.
one more sword to the side and only two swords are left. you pick both up and align them with the box. Hoping that both of them are Fake. As you thrust both in, did the assistant yell out. She yelled out, getting you to jump back.
The Audience gasped. Soon a foot kicked the box open and the assistant stepped out, glancing at her hand. "You can go back to your seat now. I broke my nail on the chains and i have to deal with that first." she said as drops of blood started to run down her index finger.
Once you returned to your seat, could you hear her complain again, before she returned with a bandage on her finger. Pushing a Illusion the Stage, asking for a volunteer to step in. As a young girl stepped up, did you wonder how it worked, as you couldnt feel the difference between the blades.
