„Care for a bit of magic?“ the game add read. Next to it was a QR code. Reina grabbed her phone and scanned it. Leading her to a download site, for a VR game. But searching for it, did gave her any results. So, she went on with her day, not thinking about it. Till she finally got home and checked her notes.

There it was again. The Code looked at her. She grabbed her headset and scanned the code again. Leading her to the download screen. That it was a free game, got her to stop for a moments. She closed her eyes and pressed downloads.

A few moments later did she open her eyes in the virtual world, the room she was in, gave her the question, if she wanted to get dressed up or stay in her normal outfit. She was impressed how well the game captured her cloths, so she stayed with her normal outfit. Getting a warning, that the company wouldn’t take responsibility for damaged clothing.

She wondered about that, but agreed anyway. Allowing her to leave the Room and enter the world. A fantasy world awaited her. Making her look a bit out of place, she followed a path from the house she spawned in, to the edge of the forest.

A small slime jumped out and attacked her. She felt the hit, so she fought back, hitting the slime with everything she got. Activating a skill. “Mana punch.” Her mana got reduced as the Slime exploded, letting her exp rise a bit. Now, in more control, did she dodge the next slime and hit it again. Getting her to level up.

After an hour of fighting, did she reach level 10, a new way marker showed up before her and guided her to a larger city. Looking around, there weren’t much players around, she watched however a few higher level players stepping into a theatre. So she walked closer. A menu opened, giving her three options, entering as normal guest. A greyed out version, for high ranking players, requiring her to pay more than she had earned to far. And a highlighted one, titled Assistant. With quest reward details. The money and the exp looked to good to not choice that option.

As she loaded into the theatre, did she stood on the stage, with the high level players looking up at her and an NPC magician standing next to her. Her body was in a frozen like state. For moment she felt like she was restraint in the real world. For the sake of Roleplay, did she let herself be pushed around. The Magician guided her into a Box. The holes on the side and front made it quite clear what was going to happen.

She felt the first sword piercing her body, taking a part of her health bar. She yelled out as she felt the pain in her core. Prompting the game to give her a way out, but she declined it. It was just a game after all. So she tensed herself, as more swords pierced the box. As her health bar reached red, did her vision get blurry.

One more blade she would be at zero. Thankfully the swords got pulled out instead of finishing her off. As the box opened, did her health bar, return to its full state. Only the holes in her cloths, showed, what she went through. The Quest bar appeared before her. Showing that she managed to do half of the quest.

The box got rolled away and a new one rolled onto the stage. Looking at it, it was the visible sawing box. She slipped out of her shoes and sat down on the table. Letting the NPC Magician push her in place and cover her body with the see through boxes. She gave the watching players a smile as a message popped up. Asking if she wanted to be sawn in half or just be divided by the blades. Since the blades would be faster and she wanted to finish the quest, did she choose the blades.

As they got pushed in, did her health bar split in half. She could have sworn, a blade really cut through her hips. The Magician tickled her feet, getting a laugh out of her. The game gave her the choice to keep playing like that, with a 10 times boost in exp generation or be restored. Since she wanted to stop playing, did she go for the later.

Once the boxes got removed did she stood up. Feeling how her pants fell down, only leaving her waistband up, as the saw cut just slightly below that. As she tried to cover herself, did the quest end and she stood back outside of the theatre. Her top still full of holes and her lower half fully undressed.

Not wanting to play like this, did she go into the menu and logged herself out. It felt a bit colder as she lifted the headset of her head. Looking down on herself, her top was full of holes and most of her pants and underwear laid on the ground. Cut just like they were in the game. Fearing the worst, did she fully strip down and stepped in front of the bathroom mirror. But just like her game character, was her body fine.

Except for the damaged cloths, was only the feeling of the swords and blades left. So,  wondered how the game did it. She marked her weekend of, to spent more time with the game, trying to figure out more about it.
