The school bell rang, signaling the end of the day for the students. Everyone sighed in relief, as they finally got up and left. Reina checked her phone, a new message poped up. She opened it. Someone took her up on her tutor offer. She wondered what subject her new student needed help with.

An hour later did she arrive at the students dorm room. "Alice" was written on the sign next to the door. "Hello, Alice are you there." A rumble could be heard from the other side, before the door opened. "You must be Alice." Reina said and fished a ruler out of the girls hair. "didnt you have classes, just a bit ago." Alice grabbed the ruler. "I got a cold and the teachers said, it would be better if i lay down."

Reina placed a hand on the girls forehead. "Hmm, if you want to, we can schedule another time." Alice opened the door. "No, i really need to finish my homework. Please come in." Reina stepped over large pieces of paper and notes scattered on the floor. Till she reached the desk with Alice math textbook open. "Oh, honey." was all Reina could say as she noticed the wrong calculations.

As she picked the book up, did a piece of paper fall out. Alice jumped forward, trying to cover it. But her Tutor was faster and picked it out of the air. "Ahm, that doesnt look like the kind of math equation you should be working on." She handed Alice the drawing of a thin model sawing box.

"That wasnt supposed to be there. Its.. well...I can." Reina laughed. "I checked your Schedule before coming here. I know, that you chose magic 101 as extra class. So, why did you pick it. Do like magic? did curiosty got the better of you or did you think a pretty girl, could just get an eye, if she shows up in a skippy outfit?" Alice blushed.

"I... i... i saw a magic show as a kid and i just wanted to know how it works. I missed the first two lessons and now i have..." she started to cry. Reina hugged her. "There, there. The class isnt that hard. You just have to show, that you understand the showmanship of it and the safety rules for working with Assistants. So, all you need is to perfom a trick and show, that you can enforce those rules. In other words, if you work fast, i can help you practice."

Alice wipped her tears away. "Really?, Why?" Reina patted the girls head. "Because i am your Tutor. And i took that class two years ago. I kinda miss, helping out during the practice hours, its to bad i have my own classes to attend during those. Unless you think, i am to old to be your lovely Assistant." Alice hugged her Tutor. "You are perfect."

Reina guided her Student to the desk. They spent the next two hours, going over the homework, she had for all her classes. Alice fell tired on her desk. Reina picked up a blanket and left the girl to rest a bit. A knock on the girls door, woke Alice up. A bit more rested did she open the door and jumped back as a table got rolled in.

Alice looked at the box on the table. "isnt that?" Reina pushed the table fully in. "...The visible sawing box. Yup, i built this one, during my last woodworking exam. I was dying to try it out." She commented as she handed the girl, the saw. "Well, i borrowed that from the school, so be careful. i have to return it tomorrow"

The girl looked at the saw and nodded. Feeling its weight, did made her knees weak. "So, ready to get into the box?" Reina asked and grabbed the handle of the saw. Alice face got white as a ghost. Her tutor slipped out of her shoes. "Kidding, i wouldnt use you for a demonstration. But you understand, that its risky." the girl nodded.

Watching as her Tutor pushed the boxes apart and slipped into the gap, feet first. She clipped the box for her lower half and leaned back, allowing her Student to close the upper box. Alice scratched her new assistants feet before getting the saw ready. "Arent you supposed to pull your legs in?" Alice said, as she noticed the feet strech.

Reina gave her a smile. "Thats if you have to assistants or a pair of fake legs. Since i have neither, you will have to deal with my real feet." she said and gave her student a reasuring smile. Alice closed her eyes and started sawing. The laughter coming from the box, distracted her. "Everything alright?" she asked.

still giggling did Reina empower her would be magician to keep sawing. It took her five minutes, but Alice managed to get all the way, she pushed the blades in and got an applause from her now divided Assistant. "Tada." came it from the box, as Alice pushed the two halves apart.

Alice got to test, that those feet were really those of her tutor. After 15 minutes of it, did Alice declare those feet as real. "How is that possible?" she said, still not understand, how her Tutor could be fine, with being sawing in half like that. "sweetheart, i wasnt honest. I took the course because i can use real magic and thought, it would give me bonus points, if i helped with dangerous tricks. But that just encouraged last years first years to try to actually saw their normal partners in half. Those girls are still angry at me. which is fair. That was kinda my fault they needed surgery."

Alice pushed the two halves back togehter. "Isnt that bad for my Presentation then?" she asked as she helped her tutor of the table. "yup, i just wanted to tease you with a bit of real magic, before we work on a version, you can do with a none magical Assistant." Reina pushed the boxes to the side and helped Alice, taking measures for the box size and possible tricks to hide another set of legs in the box.
