Reina opened her eyes and watched as Ethan was being pushed against the ground, while arms wrapped themselves around her. Preventing her from moving. "Relax little one, we are here to help you." a voice whispered in her ear. With that she watched how Ethan had to let go of the sword he got from Jack. Only for the man that held him down to turn around and look at the girl. "You.." was all she could say as Jack sheathed his sword.
With that the Woman finally let go of her and Reina could find her own balance before she got up. Ethan slowly got up as well. "What was that about?" he asked. Jack walked over to the driver seat and gave the driver directions before turning his attention to the two. "Well, i had to organise a get away. The City is filled with Monsters that are after our little Waitress. So, we need a place to hid and figure out, why they want her so bad."
"By the way, i am Samara i own a little shop in the downtown area and will hide you there for a bit. I hope you have no problems with that." In that Moment did Reina break, she hugged the woman and let all the tears she had in herself out. "So, kid. Should we let you out somewhere on the way? You aren't their target and by Vampire rules they cant attack you." Jack asked Ethan. Ethan smiled. "As if i would believe something that stupid. Secondly, i put already a lot of effort into protecting her. I am not leaving until i got the whole truth." Jack started to laugh.
"Boy, you truly remind me of myself. So, you can tag along, just be warned that vampire is a piece of cake considering where we are going." Still Ethan didn't waver. And so the group managed to avoid being detected by any kind of threat till they reached Samaras Shop. Reina looked at the Witch design of the Shop. "You really went all out for halloween." she commented. "No, it looks the whole Year like this." Jack corrected the girl.
"So, this is-" she started. Samara grabed her hand. "The Shop of a true Witch, you got it. But don't i promise i won't eat you, unless you want to." she added Jokingly. Jack grabbed Reinas shoulders and pulled her a bit back out of the hands of the witch. "You know, its better to be careful." he whispered as he stepped in between the two.
Inside the Shop did they spilt up. Jack started to prepare a spell, while he ordered Samara to search something in the back. Ethan and Reina on the other hand, explored the Witches shop. Till they got called back. Samara handed both a crystal. "Don't worry its effect is temporäry but we need to disguise you two. The best thing is if you swallow them without trying to bite into them" she said.
Both followed her advise and swallowed them. Reina felt like she was burning up, her mind started to become foggy and she collapsed. After a Moment did she open her Eyes again and looked at a girl she didn't know before. "Everthing alright?" she asked. Reina wanted to say she was fine, but her throat felt strange. She jumped up and looked at hands and Body. "What happend?" she asked, looking at a body she couldn't recognize.
"Its a transfer spell. Its only temporäry but for the duration of the spell. You two switched Genders. The spell cant be detected and no one can Recoginise Reina as long as you two are switched." Samara said, while grabbing a rope. "Still there is a part missing." With that did she jump the unkown girl and tied her fully up.
A light turned on in Reinas head. If she looked like a boy, than the damsel in distress in front of her was Ethan. Before she fully processed that, did Samara throw the girl over Reinas shoulders. "Okay, i think you guys are ready to leave." She said and the Portal Jack created opened up. With that did the three step through it as Samara waved them goodbye.
"Okay, Reina we will have to cross the City border of this town. So for that purpose you are my new Student, Ray and that Girl is your first Job." She nodded and with that they walked towards the large city outside the forest they landed in. One of the Cityguards stepped in front of them. "Jack, its been a while. What brings you here?" he asked. Jack pointed at Reina. "I started to get old and decided to take on a Student to pass on my Knowledge."
"Oh, than the girl is his first Prey." the guard said and got closer and looked at look at the girls face. Ethan managed to play the distress damsel without problem as he watched the moving Skeleton getting really close. "The first one is always special. So, will you bring her back once your Student is done or do we need to send a clean up crew into her world?" Jack acted like he had to think about it. "She is an innocent so we will bring her back and just whip her Memory." The skeleton guard patted Ethans head. "Yeah, it would be a shame if she would already start to look like me. Anyway, how long will you stay? Remember she cant leave once the witching hour passed." Jack looked at his watch. "Three Days." he answered and the guard opened his Gate.
With that they walked into the City. "What does prey mean?" Jack looked at Reina. "Oh, Normally prey are bad people that have a bounty on their head that can be collected or devil worshipper, that have a use during rituals or the feeding of Vampires and the like. The only expection for a Hunter like myself to bring in a complety innosent person is, if i have a student that isn't ready, to hunt someone that cant defend self."
Jack walked over to a house and used a key to unlock the door and stepped inside. Reina followed him. Ethan could finally speak again and dropped the weight of his Shoulers. "oh, sorry." he said as Reina hit the ground with full force. "ah, what happend?" he asked, surprised that now Reina was tied up.
"You guys used the crystals. Once the spell breaks you fully switch places. In this case A girl was tied up and a girl stayed tied up." A Woman said and stepped into Entrance of the house. "Hi, Millie. I hope we can stay for a bit." she summoned a knife from the kitchen and pointed it at all Three. Playing a bit with the knife before throwing it. Reina felt as the pressure around her vanished, as the ropes loosend, once the knife cut them. "Now, Jack you and the Boy go into the backyard. And you missy, will come with me and take a shower. I am not letting you cover the house in dirt." Millie commaned and the two Men left the House through another Exit.
