This story is being concurrently released by me, drippingink42 (Laura Rice), on other platforms as part of my Falling Heavens Erotica collection. I thought this might be of some interest to people here, let me know what you think of it!
A creak on the beams next to her made Corey look over to her side. "Oh, hey." Her voice was quiet, softly carrying into the open night. Vanessa crept out onto the roof, settling down next to Corey. He let out a long groan as his joints creaked. "You know, you've got a few years before old age sets into those bones."
Vanessa cut a glance over at Corey. "It's not my fault all of you girls fucked me for an entire day..." he grumbled, shaking his head.
"Hey, when I was, well, you, I regularly fantasized about having a group of girls eager for me like we are for you. Besides, it wasn't an entire day, just... all the daylight hours." Vanessa groaned again, collapsing back against the still-warm roof tiles. Corey sat for a moment, looking at the dimming horizon. "I thought you would have liked that. All of us, getting along, with everyone feeling good." Her voice was blended in with the sound of insects beginning to emerge for the night.
"I did," Vanessa whispered. "I just..." His voice hitched, and he looked away. "None of you had a say in being one of my girls. Those wishes-- No, it was my wish that trapped everyone into this future." He looked over at Corey, and she could see his tears glinting in the moonlight. "You're all pregnant because of me. Your lives fell apart because of me. And sure, everyone got along fine today, but how can that last? All of us are at different points in our lives, and long term, how can we stay together?"
"You act like we're all just hypnotized little sluts bouncing for your cock." Corey could see the protest in Vanessa's eyes, adding, "Well, we may act like that from time to time - Brooke a little more than Noire and I, but--"
"You literally get off to me calling you mom and you have a husband - who is your dad - and a child with your son - who is your mom. I'm pretty sure Corbin and Tyler can't stand what is happening, even though Corbin is into being a cuck. And Brooke has finally failed out of college and can't string a sentence together if she goes too long without a dick."
"Alright, so there's some issues--"
"And then there's us, swapped bodies and lives. You have my job, while I'm just supposed to be a good college student and get a degree? Are we supposed to ignore the literal decades of your life suddenly gone? Or how I'm a guy now, while you have tits?"
"Vanessa--"
"I assaulted you, Corey. Violated you, crossed unforgivable lines and hurt you. How am I supposed to live with that? How are you--"
Like the snap of a whip, the smack across Vanessa's face rang through the night air, echoing across the quiet suburb. Corey glared at him, daring him to speak. "Can I finish my sentence?" After a moment of Vanessa rubbing his reddening cheek, the color glowing in the faint twilight, Corey continued. "Yeah, our situation is pretty fucked up. All of us. We all have work ahead of us. But I've talked with Noire, and with Brooke, and trust me when I say that each one of us would leave you in a heartbeat if that's what we wanted."
"Oh geez, that's reassuring," Vanessa mumbled, looking away.
"Good, because it should be. We all chose to be here, with you. We all chose to be in that bedroom, together and with you. We want you, Vanessa. We love you." After a moment's pause, she added, "And, I can't speak for the other girls, but I'm excited to be a mom. It's what I want."
Vanessa looked about to reply, a sharp comment on his tongue when suddenly, a twinkle of light passed over the pair's faces before dimming back into shadows. Whipping their heads to the sky, they saw the first of the shooting stars begin to pass overhead. "Well, it's time." Vanessa mumbled, dropping the previous subject. "Our last chance to make wishes."
"At least, wishes we can be sure will come true for the next twenty years." Corey paused, thinking. "You know, the smart answer would be to get all the money in the world, maybe for one of us to become president or something."
Vanessa looked baffled at this. "Become president? That'd be terrible, isn't that the most stressful job in the world?" The two of them laughed together, and then looked at the stars. "Do you want to swap back?" he asked, almost timidly.
"We probably should, shouldn't we?" The way she asked the question sounded like she knew the answer, but didn't want to accept it. "I don't think I can be a guy again," Corey whispered, staring at the light show on display from the heavens. "Too much has happened, too much has changed. I wasn't born to be a girl, I didn't grow up a girl, but I became an adult as a girl. I don't think I could go back from that."
The lights in the sky began to dim, the brightness twinkling out as more shooting stars faded than were replaced with new ones. "I don't know what to say. You can't go back, and I don't feel I can live this life and do it justice. You shouldn't have to be the mom to everyone and fix things, you're just a kid yourself."
Corey gave a soft smile, shrugging. "I mean... What if..." She cleared her throat, looking up at the stars. "I wish I could take care of all the kids, and be the best mom that they deserve."
A loud bang of thunder filled the air, sending shivers down their spines. "What did you..." Vanessa looked anxious, panicked even. "You wished you'd be a mom... You..." He started to wring his hands, looking out into the distance. "I can't... I can't do this, we need to swap back. I wish we were back to normal; that everything was normal again!"
A second peel of thunder ripped through the air, seemingly shaking the very house they sat on. Corey gasped, tears coming to her eyes. "I... I can't... Why would you? I just said I can't be a guy again..."
Vanessa reached out to put his hand on Corey's knee, but she jerked it away before he could touch her. He sighed, looking at the roof beneath him. "And I can't live this life, not anymore. But hey, if my wish works, and everything is 'normal', then we won't notice the change, right? So it'll be like this never happened!"
Corey choked back a sob, glaring at Vanessa. "You worded your wish so vaguely that we have no clue what will happen, especially when you combine it with my wish! You could have just fucked everything up, we have no clue!"
Quietly the pair sat as the stars continued to fall. It was several minutes before a sound was uttered, save for the occasional sniffle from Corey. Finally, Vanessa spoke up. "We have each other."
There was a pregnant pause before Corey turned to look at Vanessa. "What?"
"We have each other," he repeated. "What we wanted was compatible with what the other person wanted. It wasn't really something we could have compromised on, and there wasn't really any other solution. But now, something will happen. And whatever it is, we'll have each other for it this time. All of us, together."
Corey sat thinking. Her thoughts drifted, examining the possibilities of the future, as far as she could imagine them, from every angle. No matter what she could think up, she had to admit, it wouldn't be the worst if they all stuck together. "When we wake up tomorrow, I want us to use the right name for our bodies. Whoever is in this body is Vanessa and mom, and whoever is in your body is Corey."
Vanessa blinked, looking confused. "That's... Where did that come from?"
"Anything can happen, right? Well, this is the least we can do to prepare for it. We'll explain to Brooke and Noire before we go to bed, and then tomorrow..."
"...Then tomorrow, we'll see."
"We'll see." Corey hadn't realized it, but she had ended up holding Vanessa's hand. She wove her fingers through his, sighing softly.
The shooting stars stopped falling.
