A family friend of ours, Emily, recently visited our house during the holidays. She had just gotten home from a kickboxing session with trainers and was happy to us all. We partied on for a bit and took some shots, watched some football, and danced outside for a bit before coming back in. She had a bit too much to drink and we insisted that she stayed the night instead of driving home. Emily was fine with this, and she slept on the living room sofa downstairs. I went upstairs and started studying for the upcoming calculus exam.

Around 4 AM, I was half asleep at my desk when I heard footsteps coming upstairs and I heard a soft knock at my door. I rubbed my eyes, stood up, and opened the door.

What I saw was a headless body, Emily's, standing in the doorway. Before I could scream, the body put me in a chokehold and clamped my mouth shut. We stagger around a bit until we fall onto my bed and she releases me. The body releases its hand from my mouth and puts a finger over my lips as if saying "sshhh." I stay quiet, and she finally gets off of me and starts shivering.

The body then takes a phone out of her pocket and starts typing. I sit up on the bed against wall, still unsure of what to do. I feel my phone vibrate.

As if the body could see me, it shakes its hands in pleasure and hugs me around my neck. It pulls a blanket over itself and cuddles next to me for warmth. I shrug and turn off the light. ~

I woke up to a bright flash and immediately flinch. I open my eyes and see Emily's body sitting next to the bed, holding my photography camera. She turns towards me and pulls out her phone. I hear my phone vibrate next to me.

I look back up and see her grabbing the camera again, fiddling with it while tapping her foot against my floor.
